Great store, great service, we always find everything we’re looking for in this shop.

It took me five minutes to locate a member of staff on the shop floor to find a product for me. Amazingly he and one other member of staff seemed to have taken a vow of silence, I thought I’d gone deaf, zero customer service skills and general apathy on display. Quite unusual behaviour as I’ve shopped at this store before and found them to be friendly and helpful. The man on the checkout was okay though. BTW the QR didn’t scan because the receipt wasn’t printed correctly. 🤨🤨🤨

Amazing service at GO Outdoors Kingston today! The pump for my tent had broken and it looked as though the shop was out of stock. Tiffany and Kieran were excellent in hunting high and low to find one in the stock room. Really appreciate them taking the time. Great customer service!

Great prices, knowledgeable staff

Really surprised at the positive reviews - we must have hit a bad day today. Came in to buy all we needed for wild camping but left after only buying a quarter of what we needed as so shocked by the behaviour of a group of 4 staff who were hanging about in the camping section . None of them offered to help us or even moved when we were clearly trying to look at items where they were standing . Asked a couple of questions and just got literally pointed in the vague direction of the items we needed . No proactivity at all - terrible customer service . Also more importantly- one blonde girl stacked a shopping trolley 7 foot high with large items and was pushing it past us and others whilst joking with her work mates that ‘this is how you do it’ . Serious health and safety issue if the 7ft stack of boxes had fallen on her , her colleagues or the customers that she passed . We won’t be spending any more money there . The tall black guy at the till was helpful and polite - the rest of the staff we encountered were awful

I initially saw a "second pair half price" offer on socks on their website, so I paid for a membership specifically to place an order online. After checking out, I was told my order would be ready for Click & Collect at this branch by midday the following day.

The next day came and went with absolutely no notification. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited another day, only to receive a message cancelling my order, claiming the items were supposedly "out of stock".

Out of frustration, I popped into the actual store, and lo and behold, the exact same socks were sitting right there on the shelves, available for purchase. The website also still shows them as fully in stock. It leaves me highly suspicious that they simply didn't want to honour the promotional discount and used "out of stock" as a pathetic excuse to cancel my order.

A completely dodgy business with zero integrity. Save your money and avoid!

Pleasant shopping experience for someone who dislikes shopping

I’m really disappointed with how long this return has taken. It’s now been a full month since I returned my faulty item, and I’m still waiting for any meaningful update. The store staff were genuinely helpful and did everything they could on their side, but the overall process after that has been extremely slow and frustrating.

I’ve always trusted Go Outdoors and most of my camping equipment is from the brand, which makes this experience even more disheartening. Clearer communication and faster handling of returns would make a huge difference for customers who rely on your products.

Staff at the Kingston branch were friendly and helpful when we recently purchased a bike for our son, especially Shawn the cycle specialist. He resolved a minor issue with the bike in five minutes when we brought it back, with no need to schedule a repair appointment. Supervisor Yasmin went out of her way to help us on the day we decided to buy the bike, as it was Shawn's day off. She made sure it was taken off sale and made him aware that we were collecting it the following day so it would be checked and ready to go.
And Yasmin, who took payment, was super friendly.

I went in to GoOutdoors in Kingston to buy some sandals for an upcoming beach holiday. There was a huge choice and I was able to find exactly what I needed thanks to great help from Kieran and Molly.

I came into store to buy some waterproof trainers/hiking shoes, Robin was really helpful and very efficient in finding me different sizes and styles. My purchase was quick and easy with Amy renewing my membership along with my purchase. Love my shoes so much I’m coming back to buy a pair for my daughter aswell!

We were novices preparing for DfE Bronze expedition when we walked in the store. Didn’t know where to begin. The team were so helpful! So friendly, experienced and knowledgable. Dale found the perfect pair of walking boots and Eleanor and Jasmine helped us with great advice about sleeping bag, camping mattress and walking trousers. Son has just done the expedition and everything they recommended was spot on and he had the best experience. Thank you!!
