Absolutely terrible experience — 1 star is honestly too generous.
I'm a tourist who went to the Philippines and purchased a Globe prepaid eSIM for a 6‑week stay, and the entire process has been nothing but a headache. I purchased the eSIM a week before travelling and I followed all the online instructions to register the eSIM, but it simply did not work .
I then followed Globe's instructions to contact them on Facebook messenger. I waited 24 hours for the first response, the link provided did not work. I contacted them on Facebook messenger again then another 48 hours wait to speak to someone. While the second agent was “assisting” me, nothing they suggested worked. I was told repeatedly to “follow the instructions,” even though I had already done so multiple times.
When it still didn't work, I asked for a refund , since the eSIM was clearly faulty or impossible to register. Instead of helping, the second agent just repeated the same script and then left the chat. I was stuck with an eSIM that never worked, no refund , and no compensation.
I emailed every Globe support address I could find online — not a single reply . After months of waiting, it honestly feels like those email contacts exist only to make the company look legitimate, not to actually help customers.
It has now been three months with zero resolution. As a tourist, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I honestly feel scammed by Globe.

I have made 6-8 attempts to handle in person. It is a complete waste of my time
I have made many attempts to solve the issues with Globe Telecom both in person and by phone.
Their c/s is the WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
In person the story keeps changing so you NEVER KNOHOW TO GET YOUR PROBLEMS SOLVED.
I am now seeking a good, reliable cell phone.

My experience with Globe Telecom is honestly a mix of good and not so good. Most of the time, the signal and mobile data are reliable and work well for everyday use like browsing and messaging. But there are moments when the connection slows down or drops, especially during busy hours. Overall, it's a decent service, just not always consistent.

Worst Internet and service experience in the Philippines
Always no internet, but they still charge the full bill. The customer service is bad and just bots, and the technicians never repair the internet. They are always good at making excuses.

Compré una Esim para mi viaje a filipinas, lo hice desde España, la instalé y nunca pude usarla porque no le llegaban ni señal ni datos, ponerte en contacto con ellos es horrible, tardan horas en responder. Volví a comprar otra e instalarla por si acaso y de nuevo sin señal. Por fin pude hablar con ellos a los días, después de gastarme cerca de unos 25 euros, normalmente la recarga está por unos 4€ para mantenerte conectado una semana. Y en vez de solucionarme, me cerraron la conversación. No se han responsabilizado ni del dinero ni del fallo

Globe is complete garbage. I missed a payment and they disconnected my line without so much as a heads up. I’m overseas which means I can’t receive OTPs for online transactions. I had someone pay my bill at a Globe location in the Philippines. I needed help getting connected to a chat rep to set up data roaming but no one came online from 7am until 6pm. I’ve always preferred Globe over Smart, but it’s definitely time to switch.
Poor system, automatically deactivates without notice
Your system automatically deactivates accounts without notice. Users going abroad such seafarers is greatly affected. Especially the registered number is connected to other banking accounts which needed OTP.
Absolutely the WORST experience I had…
Absolutely the WORST experience I had in the Philippines. Most retailers refused to issue register a SIM I got at the airport upon landing. I found one who supposedly was able to get it registered and it never worked. When i sought help from the Globe help desk in a mall as recommended none of the adolescents working there refused to acknowledge me (seriously... no eye contact as if I was invisible). I went to a Smart store (their competitor) had them yank and toss the SIM and install, register and load theirs and viola... it worked. Wow.

BEWARE!!!!! ZERO Customer service. They only provide BOTS that don't address your issue. I could not use the esim card on my phone. There was no way to contact anyone and the Bot just sent me in circles. Had to cancel the charge thru credit card company!

I am a postpaid user, I cant open my Globe app since morning. My data was already consumed and I need to open the Globe app to purchase a load since you can't buy from outside. I was outside for 10 hours and I dont have any data. Please improve your services.

Escalated my concern on January 22, 2026 about a load I didn’t receive through. Used Globe customer service chat. They made several tickets but they close it without resolving it. Still unresolved. Bad customer service useless and they’re not trained well. It was so bad, I wanna give you a zero, but it’s not possible. So, I give you a one
