Terrible parking for pick up of disabled traveller. No disabled spaces available to use and rude staff who couldn't care less about our need to pick up a disabled traveller.

Warning – Misleading “Cashback” Offer After Drop-off Payment!

I appreciate Gatwick Airport, but recently a third-party service has been allowed to appear immediately after paying for the drop-off zone. It offers a £6.87 "cashback", but in reality, clicking the button signs you up for a subscription costing £18/month.

The subscription condition is written in very small print and is easy to miss – especially for people who don’t speak English fluently. This is misleading and potentially predatory.

I urge Gatwick Airport and UK consumer protection authorities to investigate this practice. Please read carefully and don’t get tricked!

I recently flew from Gatwick to Sicily, early morning flight.
All extremely straightforward, easy check in, pleasant staff at all sections. Open seating areas had easy clean sensible seating, plus plenty of eating options.
On return a week later, passport control was busy but quick, even when collecting baggage there was a lady staff member taking baggage off the conveyer, never seen that before. I would say well done Gatwick!!

Be very aware that the trolleys at both terminals of Gatwick do NOT accept anything but coins!! How is it possible that a huge international airport like Gatwick would not accept credit card for use of trolleys? As overseas tourists, we had to struggle with a lot of luggage to get to the check in counters on departure and to the taxi rank upon arrival a few weeks earlier. Who knew that such a small matter could cause so much trouble to us? An international airport!

In April I booked disability assistance for my BA flight to Malta. The service was incredible - kind, helpful, on time and friendly. On my return, the lady who picked my friend and me up in the little buggy, went above and beyond to reunite us with our family, en route to collect our taxi. I cannot recommend the service highly enough. Many, many thanks.

Queues at the ladies toilets from 6am in the morning all day ( I asked a cleaner ) and she said it was the same every day. Thirty people in the queue when I was there. They’ve got all the posh shops and expect everyone to spend but you can’t shop if you’re stood in the toilet queue for twenty minutes! Shortsighted and annoying to the customers. This was the toilets upstairs in the food court south terminal. The toilets downstairs were the same.

They seem to keep changing things for the worse without advertising these changes. In the past we were able to clear security and duty-free you could always find a normal cash machine. There are no standard machines anymore!!! only foreign currency machines. So you either pass back through security (if you have time) or GET CASH before coming airport!! Terrible… Not one machine.

Gatwick is slow and outdated plus air Arabia check in staff only 1 working when you need 3 people the other two turned up 40 mins ti open their check in what a joke the airport staff are rude especially the east European don't know to talk to people.
So in a nut shell needs to be improved 1000 times.
Me personally I'm using heathrow airport might be abit more money but worth it

"Our car parks are located within the airport boundaries, however some car park spaces are near trees and bushes, which attract wildlife birds. Gatwick sits very close to rural and wooded areas and during Spring we do see lots of wildlife in and around the area. Our staff will try to remove all droppings !!! "

Just letting everyone know the charging points in departures don't work considering how much tourist spend here it's disgusting simple things like this don't work

A total disaster!! The baggage check was a war zone. Asked to show passport 5 different times going through airport. Baggage crew had a fight with plane crew. Delayed flight 45 mins. Then our bags arrived damaged. Hope to never have to use this airport again

“Assistant” arrived peculiarly wearing ear defenders and adorned with a sign informing us they did not speak (could not or refused to wasn’t specified) but could hear. They did not remove their ear defenders at any point which I found strange. This person then produced a chalkboard type device to draw pictures and write notes on. A clearly unsuitable DEI hire that is potentially putting the lives of anyone left in their care at risk.

Like some have said Gatwick are f ing ridiculous, charging £6 for a 3 minute drop off which states on their sign 10 minutes drop off £6 if I could of been asked I'd take them to a civil court and these days I'd most likely win like other cases I have done anyway its a scam and useless but gives me feedback for campaign which I will defiantly cut this idea out because stealing from the people is ridiculous

I had to pay £6 drop-off fee when I took a wrong turn on my way to the long stay car park where I had already paid £130. If your cameras can recognise my number plate, for sure there is a way to distinguish between a stopped car and a moving car and not apply this ridiculous extra charge for nothing. The only thing that you will achieve is further angering your customers from the first minute.

what is wrong with their airport website??? how on earth can they work with it where half the flights are missing??

Left waiting 25 minutes at a broken baggage carousel. Dirty airport and very little information. Unpleasant and unprofessional way to treat passengers.

All staff we encountered on our recent trip were wonderful, friendly and helpful.
Security staff were considerate and kind and the passport/Border Force team were thoughtful, helping us to travel through quickly.
Staff at all the shops we visited were courteous and so friendly.
A great experience all round! Well done to all the staff

Discriminatory Treatment at Customs

It’s incredibly disheartening to see that even in Britain, racial bias within professional institutions is still rampant.
As a mixed-race British national, arriving from a British Airways flight from Florida with only a backpack and carry-on, I was yet again singled out for a luggage search on the way out from customs —my third time this year and it’s March! Fine!

The fact that I am continuously subjected to these searches is one thing however
(Personal opinion) water a lot of thought… it strongly suggests systemic racial profiling under the guise of routine security measures.

I preface this by saying the search and stop was not the issue! The professional conduct was the icing on the cake

The most shocking part? The officer conducting the search, a young white male, repeatedly used the phrase “you people” in a dismissive, hostile tone, saying things like: “You people always complain; you’ve no idea about our job, YOU people always have something to say” what a poor choice of words…

Such disrespectful and racially charged language has no place in any public service, this is unacceptable and unprofessional.

It is beyond unacceptable for an officer entrusted with enforcing security protocols to speak to travellers in such a derogatory and prejudiced manner.

It’s shameful that an institution representing Britain would allow such blatant racial profiling and discriminatory conduct to thrive. This needs to be addressed immediately

I expected better, a hell of a lot better.

Gatwick have not responded to a single review so that itself demonstrates thier complete lack of customer care and service.

Absolute disgrace, from rip off drop off charges which were £10 despite being parked for only 3-4 minutes. Apparently it’s acceptable to charge while waiting for parking and isn’t even long enough to read the signs regrading the parking rules.

Check in was good although this is done by the airline. Customs / security is by far the worst I have ever experienced with lack of attention, rude staff ushering people around and a complete disregard for actual security. By far the worst airport I have experienced within Europe and Americas.

Airport is a Shambles. Nightmare Security,Poor Transport Links,Overcriwded Terminals. North Terminal Restaurants were so Overcriwded Injust coundnt be Bothered. Total Shihole!
