Wow. We purchased an RV from Ft Pierce Gander. Our salesman was top of the line. Loved his professionalism and honesty. It stopped there. We purchased one week ago and still do not have our unit when a couple minor issues were found. A stabilizer motor was shot and had to be replaced. We were literally lied to by the service department about the part being ordered. It was not ordered until a week later. Today as a matter of fact, even though we were told it was ordered last week. We had to cancel 2 camping trips that cost us our deposits because of the unit not being ready. A complete run around. We called, visited . numerous times and were told various things each time, all not true about what was going on. . Very sad and corrupt service department. It’s too bad that department can reflect on the sales department and the overall Gander name at Ft Pierce. I’ll make sure this is posted on as a many reviews as possible. With all the negatives I’m seeing about this place, maybe something will be done.

In January I bought an RV in Gander Bartow, Florida. From the second use you started to notice that A / C was not treating properly. I took it to service, to verify what is the problem of a new camper. I have called on several occasions and these people pass the hot potato, some say that the technician has not looked at it yet, others that they do not have technicians available, that the advisor is in the store, that they call me back and in the end no one calls. It is frustrating because it is known that they have not even looked at the camper, they lie to get out of the moment. I will never buy anything in this place again, nor do I recommend it. Very nice at the time of sale, but then they don't care. The way they work is unacceptable.

This is for Gander RV in Fort Pierce, FL. To make it short DO NOT BUY AN RV FROM THEM. I wish I would have listened to all the bad reviews. You pay for Pre-Delivery and they never touch the RV. I had so many problems with this RV I can't list. Bottom line the service department is just horrible and no one in the management chain cares!!! Thank God I did not pay thousands of dollars for an extended Service contract. This will more than likely end up going to a lawyer.

We bought an RV from Gander RV on Main St in Gilbert AZ. We had some issues with the RV and Gander fixed everything to our satisfaction and I would highly recommend purchasing an RV from Gander. Erich in the service department was fantastic!

Website is terrible, and live chat doesn't work. Can't tell if an item is in stock, and the website gets hung up on whether you want to ship something to a local FFL vs to a Gander Mountain store. If there's no Gander Mountain store nearby, you can't add the item into your cart-- even to ship it to a local FFL.

As a club member I appreciate the 15% discount for LP gas, that’s until I went to pay for it. Tractor supply charges 2.76 a gallon for everyone but with my amazing club price at Gander it’s 5.99 a gallon. Beware!

The sales associates and cashiers are nice, but their customer service is nothing more than a game of hot potato where they pass you from place to place until you finally give up.

I stopped at their store while on my way to work in Upstate New York for some simple hiking equipment that I was going to use for the next day off. I picked up about $120 worth of gear, and the sales associates were very nice and helpful, as was the cashier. However, none of my cards worked: not two of my credit cards, not my debit card. The manager took her time getting to the front to look into it to the point where I was pacing and the cashier was apologizing, proclaimed the register to be working fine, and had little else to say. The cashier (not the manager) suggested another register, and so that's what we tried, with the same result, but by then the manager had disappeared, so the best I could do was leave the store empty-handed and arrive late for work. I wrote to their corporate customer service department to report this, but received no response.

A week later, I tried it again, thinking that maybe the registers were down (I use these cards all the time, and since then have been to multiple restaurants, made multiple Amazon purchases, and even rented a car using all of these cards). Same result. The manager was again only minimally helpful, and I was again late for work due to the ten minutes spent at the register. This time I later attempted an online chat with customer service, but was told that this option was only for online purchases, so I called their number directly, where I was told it was a store matter. They emailed the store to report my complaint and to request that they contact me (I was cc'ed). It's been over two weeks now. No word.

I went to their competition, and made the purchases I needed (using the cards that failed at Gander). Despite how nice their associates were, what good is this place to me if my money is no good there, or, for that matter, apparently not even wanted there? I would've been fine with just a simple "we don't know what's going on", or "we've been having problems with our card readers" or something--anything. The message I got instead was "screw off...we can't be bothered with you" and "we're just going to ignore you until you go away".

My wife and I decided to look at purchasing a travel trailer at Gander/Camping World in Ft.Pierce.We got an excellent salesman, Gerald however his next
level of sales managers were,at best,used car hacks.
After the typical back and forth their final price came back with “how does these payments work for you range” and proceeded to show me a basic chart with erroneous(no months financed showing,no interest rate???)info ...We were then wondering hummmm
Next I got to upline manager #2 ,( the bull-pens relief pitcher) nice lady,but we still required a better explanation of the final cost and hard price.
We both have great credit scores (her 850,me 780)
We agreed to 13k out the door,and didn’t want to use Ganders bank to finance.Finally after 2 hours of haggling we got to see “The Wizard behind the curtain”.
Who said the Coleman Lantern 17B was actually not on the lot and due to selling 17 previously and it would take 30 to 90 days to come in.Not what the salesman told us (he was also not privy to the real quantity on site?) We went ahead and paid 500 down “The Wizard”
wrote up a receipt for the deposit.After discussion we are going to pick up a 2021Forest River WolfPup Cherokee 17 FQ for 17k out the door.Found on line in Ga.Picking up next weekend. Bottom line .
WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN !

They were easy to use and fast when it came to shipping, however they only shipped 1/3 of my order. When I called them they said they made a mistake but no longer have my items in stock and don’t know when they will have them again. My order clearly states they were to ship 3 items. On the shipping label it stated their was to be 3 items inside, and yet whoever is working in their warehouse obviously can’t figure out what that means. It’s not that much to expect your order to be filled the way it should. They will gladly take your money but can’t even perform the most basic of tasks. I would think very hard before using them again.

Their service, follow up and staff are as poor as you can get ! I suggest you complain to the manufacturer! Buyer beware! All locations are a nitemare ! I wish i bought my Forest River Georgetown from someone else ! Gander in Thornburg, VA was the poorest! Employees not trained. Even the person at checkout! Unreal ! New manager there now was there before and demoted and moved to another location! He is now back ! Dan Kinser is his name. He is presently trying to avoid a lawsuit! After the sale they vanish !! Oh yes and you can call Marcus Lamoinus ! The owner . He says “if you aren’t happy im not happy” bunch of BS . Hes on tv as “the prophet”

I dont usually do reviews but here goes. My wife and I went in to gander outdoors deforest to look at some RVs and there was alot of bad customer service in that store. We were taken care of by 2 employees that made our experience turn around josh on the RV side was very nice and very knowledgeable great guy. And the second was the cashier shannon she was very sweet and professional. her customer service was great she made a big impact on our last few minutes before walking out of the store. Good customer service is hard to come by at this time and josh and shannon did a great job we will be returning customers.

I have not always had a good experience with gander outdoors. I stopped going in for a while due to some not so nice staff. But I recently started going into the deforest store again and have come across some very nice people especially the cashier that seems to always be there when I go in. Shannon’s customer service is amazing she is always so polite and always makes my husband and I feel very welcome. If we have a bad experience while shopping that always gets changed around before we leave due to Shannon’s politeness and great customer service. when we see her welcoming energy as we approach the register.

I can Not say enough about Gander RV and their Entire team. I didn't buy an RV from them, but if I was in the market, I'd certainly call them first!

I had a window fall out of the RV I own (all under warranty via Winnebago)
It was Refreshing to not only get help with this issue during this holiday season but they expedited everything for me and truly cared about the situation I was in.

Everyone was so kind and helpful!
Grant in service, who seriously made Everything happen without a glitch, was caring, communicative, and on the ball.
Derrick in sales who was kind enough to show me around while talking RVs, while I was waiting.
Christina (I hope I'm spelling her name right) truly Rocked!!! She took the time to put this window in, as it was her own, and Im telling you the location of this window was nothing short or a pain in the butt. The care she took was amazing ... such a perfectionist!

I cannot begin to tell you How Refreshing it was to have such Good Customer Service ... especially in this day in age!!!

We have a 2019 Mallard TT purchased new. After the first winter we found a leak under the tub. Turned out to be a broken drain pipe. Wichita Gander Outdoors service Center repaired it under warranty. It broke again 3 months later. I took it back to the Service Center in November 2020. I spoke to the Service Lead/ Manager and asked if they could put a brace under the tube to prevent the tub floor from bowing down from a person standing in the tub. My wife and I both weigh less than 160 in. The manufacturer designed this with 0 room between the tub bottom and camper floor concerning the PVC drainpipes. They did exactly what I asked for with the repair so I am hopeful this will resolve the issue. They did it quickly at no charge. I don’t recall the young man’s name but he was exactly what I needed to listen to my concerns and act on them. I felt like a valued customer. My only negative in the experience was the scheduler and her lack of experience or understanding what I wanted or needed. She did not explain that when I waited for a month to bring it in on the scheduled date my camper would then sit for another 3 weeks before they would work on it. I voiced my frustration to the same manager and he took my camper in and had it fixed within 24 hours. He was a great example of Service and should be seen as a top performer for your business. I rated this a 4 because your normal Service Process workflow is not customer friendly and should be improved.

Purchased rv at gander Rv Lowell ar. Horrible warranty service. Can’t get it done and it takes weeks or sometimes over a month and the worst part is they fail to fix and you have to take it back again. I have been told they were putting my Rv in shop that day and a week later it’s still not in shop. Service lies to about service or when they are going to do it. Do not buy here go somewhere else . No service and lyes to all you get at gander Rv. Worst service I have ever had in my whole life.

I purchased a new travel trailer from gander outdoors in Caldwell, Id. The finance manager said he would get me the best interest possible for me. I let him know if not I would go with another option I had. After calling me back the next day I was informed of the great interest rate and payment length of time. It was horrible so I went with my other option that cut his quote in half. Time wise and length wise. I called him and said I will buy the trailer but I will use my option for financing. He came back and said he could do better but it would take a bit of time. I let him know if he didn't want to find the best deal the first time like he promised I wasn't interested. He then tried bribing me with $500.00 to use his bid for a year so he could get kickback of a $1000.00. I said that sounded corrupt to me and I was in no way interested. He got very rude to me so I hung up on him. I would not have bought it after that but my wife who had no idea of my dealings with this place really liked the travel trailer. I went ahead with the purchase for her but will never buy again from them. I see from other ratings from the place I'm shocked some are still employed.

the wife and I bought a rv from wichita gander the sales men knows what on the lot but do not know how rv are made we are fultimer they can not tell me insulation rating what i find after we bought it shock us the prep that they that they change for was not done the finance dept. ran around like they heads cut off sevrice dept. is a bunch of kids do not know what they are talking about i will not take our rv back to themfor work or buy anything they again and gander chairman does not care also

Summary:
The Gander RV’s services department’s fell significantly short of any reasonable or expectation. The warranty that is offered on all new units is not a Gander RV warranty but a combination of several manufacturers’ warranties. If there are issues with a new camper and the service department is required to repair it under warranty, they reach out to the manufacturer or component companies to claim the warranty. This causes significant delays in repair. Also, if there are any disputes from a manufacturer or component company, they proved unable or unwilling to resolve most disputes without intervention from the owner. Communication between service management, service personnel and service technicians was poor. Quality assurance is nearly non-existent. Service Management actively avoid conflict resolution. Service management did offer a few minor amenities (an extra sway bar and below standard repair to minor damage to camper at no additional charge), but this compensation fell significantly short of making things right.
The manufacturer (Heartland) produces a product that is poorly constructed and designed while their warranty department goes above and beyond in their efforts to dispute valid repair claims. Gander RV continues to conduct business with this company despite reporting routine dissatisfaction of interaction with the company.

Major Material Issue Summary:
Problem 1: Broken Shower Drain- repair periods 1-3 - never fully resolved
Problem 2: Wheel Well Fender Defect - repair period 1/2 - warranty dispute
Problem 3: Leaking Toilet Flush Valve- repair period 2-3
Problem 4: Refrigerator- repair period 4

Other issues:
Long repair times largely due to lack of Communication and reluctance to cover warranty related issues.

Camper Timeline Summary
27 Aug 19: Received custody up new camper at Gander RV.
05 Sep 19 - 09 Dec 19: Repair Period 1 (Problem 1, Problem 2) - 95 Days
27 Apr 20 - 06 Aug 20: Repair Period 2 (Problem 1, Problem 3) - 101 Days
10 Aug 20 - 06 Nov 20: Repair Period 3 (Problem 1 Problem 4) - 108 days

“My advice to everyone considering buying from Gander / Camping World / is “DON’T DO IT”

The Good!
(James my salesman at Camping World in Tampa Fl was very helpful as was the financing department)
(Store 5-stars for selling toilet paper and Black Tank Sanitizer).

The Bad!
(Minus 5-Stars for service after the sale).
I purchased my Thro Challenger $140K Coach from Camping World/Gander on September 21st and could only use once due to the following problems.
• Passenger side slide out leaks in front when closed (Floods During Rainstorm)
• Drivers side slide out leaking when closed (Front area) (Floods During Rainstorm)
• Passenger side slide out front cup holder wood post assembly got caught up on floor: minor damage to floor & wood assembly damaged and cracked
• Microwave does not work. (Never Has)
• Main door awning led lights burnt out
• Shower leaks outside door passenger side. HAVE never been able to use shower due to flooding.
I could keep going.
I scheduled an appointment with Gander in Ft Port pierce Florida for service on October 13th and 1st available date they could give me was October 27th. I advised Dave Elder (Service Manager @ Gander Ft Pierce Fl) that I would need my Coach back by November 17th for a Family Thanksgiving trip. November 13th has come and Ganders service department still has not completed any requested service.
