Furniture Village - Gateshead Anmeldelser 

We popped in to Furniture Village Gateshead to purchase a dining table. As we were making our way up the stairs, we were greeted by smiling, enthusiastic Tim Van der Velde.

Tim asked us what we were there for, and spent a good amount of time with us answering all of our questions and filling in the many gaps in our dining table knowledge. Additionally, he also kept appearing seemingly out of thin air while we were looking at other things we were considering buying in the future (bed, sofa) again with helpful advice, nothing seemed too much for him and if he didn’t have an answer straight away he’d go and get it.

We eventually left having made our purchase - a Grigio extending dining table with 6 swivel chairs. Tim supported our shopping experience without being overbearing or making us feel pressured to make a purchase, and also knew when to leave us to our own devices to browse. Knowledgeable, confident sales consultants like Tim really make the difference in a shopping experience and because of his service Furniture Village will be our first stop the next time we’re in need of furniture - and you best believe we’ll be asking for him when we do.

The showroom was well laid out and the salesman was very informative without being pushy.

We have not been told about the home event reductions. We had to come back to the store to find out what our discount had been which we already paid full price

Excellent service from the delivery drivers Mike & Danny. They arrived on time, assembled the furniture efficiently, and cleaned up afterward. Professional and polite.

Shop was friendly and professional. Just had mattress delivered promptly within the time specified. Unfortunately i did not get the delivery guys names but the were fantastic. Friendly and helpful they put mattress on the base for me and took all packaging. Couldn’t have asked for a better service

Initially ordered a sofa as I was moving house but the sale fell through. Tim at Gateshead branch was very helpful in allowing me to keep my order until I found a new property. Found a new house and updated Tim. When I moved house I updated Tim again with the new address. For some reason their system was unable to update the new address and I must’ve made at least 7 phone calls and numerous emails and eventually had to call into the store with evidence of the new address. My sofa was delivered to the correct address but realised today I have been charged for “care and protect for upholstery” which I never agreed to. Rang customer services about this, who had no recollection of my new address and was told I needed to be transferred to shop floor but that they would update my address on their notes.Call got cut off. Tried another 4 times, every time call was cut off. Spoke to customer services again who refused to have a conversation as didn’t recognise my address. Absolute fart on. Wouldn’t buy from here again!

Neil the sales was so helpful he phoned me when he was off work to arrange delivery for my furniture

Great sales lady fast and efficient

Great service from Neil Armstrong at the Gateshead store. We were looking to buy a couple of leather sofas and he made our buying experience so easy, no pressure and answered all of our questions.

We received our new ottoman bed which we were so excited about. Obviously turned the house upside down to remove what was under our previous bed, and when the new one was installed it was twisted. The bottom section has come away and the bed is twisted. Upon ringing customer services, told a third party would come and see (presumably try to fix). Obviously buying a new bed, wouldn’t expect this. If faulted, should just en a case of return and send new one. This is nearly £3000 worth of bed.

We were left alone without any bother from sales people until we had decided what we wanted. Then we sort there help and finalised our decision to buy. Thank you Furniture village.
