Left a review on Frosts Eastwood Metal Blackening System which was complete rubbish. Paid over £130 for it. Couldn't get a refund as it had been used, i left a review on the product and its vanished along with the order on my account!

However i still have the email to prove i bought it!

DO NOT BUY THIS KIT! Its a total waste of money!

Tryed to leave feedback on FROST website about a product they sell por15 but it doesn't let you.
I don't think they want anybody to know how useless this product is. Used the product on a 1975 Honda motorcycle tank followed the instructions meticulously left for 7 days for product to cure before putting fuel in looked inside and the product is peeling away from the inside of the tank. Just cost me an heap of time and money and now I've got to try and get it out.

I believe I've been a good customer of this company. I always felt their car restoration products pricey, but they provide a great range. Their products can require some skill to use and advice and practice may be necessary. Although I have had some contact with individuals in the company in the past, most recently I bought something from them at £50 which proved to be useless. I asked for insight as to whether I was doing something wrong but have had only brush-offs in a series of unsigned emails. I asked for some recompense, but received no reply. Overall, I regard this as bad service and I can't do business with Frost in future.

Ordered a motorcycle lift. The quality of the lift was pretty poor - obviously a cheap Chinese made effort. More importantly, the lift did not match the description on the website. Specifically, there was no removable rear panel and the dimensions did not match those on the website. Informed Frost by email and simply got a response apologising for the misprint, but the website still hasn't been updated and no offer to put things right.

My project - the restoration of a 1960's Artillery Luger replica to (better than) original finish. The pistol is made of zinc alloy castings. Spoke to Frost technical support who recommended their Zinc Blacking solution.
After thoroughly removing older finish, polished, degreased thoroughly and dipped components in zinc black solution. Neutralized further reaction by dipping in a bicarbonate of soda solution,washed in water, allowed to dry and then sealed with a light coat of satin lacquer.
Brilliant, even blacking results!
The paler, "straw blued" (a pale golden colour) effect on the stripping lever, trigger etc. was achieved by reducing immersion time to a few seconds.

Illegally spamming people.

Made a purchase, clearly declined receiving spam, they have been spamming me daily ever since, contrary to UK law.

2nd July - Ordered a sheet of mild steel 0.7-0.8mm thick x 810mm x 1000mm. Cost £16.00 plus £7 shipping.
4th July - advised it had been despatched and 'was on its way'
7th July - after telephoning to say it had not arrived, was told it should be with me tomorrow.
8th July - Arrived packed in two sheets of corrugated cardboard and with obvious damage. Examined metal to find it bent and with all four corners bent back on each other.
8th July - Advised of damaged delivery. Later that day sent photos of damage.
11th July - advised "we do ship out large amounts of metals with very few damages - Please could you send photos of the damages" Advised photos had already been sent.
12th July - Told "it looks like we haven’t’ received that email with the pictures, please could you re-send?" Resent photos whilst on the phone. Was asked would I accept £5 in compensation. When told the product was unusable I was asked "can't you just bash out the corners". After some discussions was told "they would collect it tomorrow".
Now waiting for the end outcome - and a piece of usable steel.
Wasted time and money and customer satisfaction.

Absolute nightmare to get hold of.
Applied for a discount code which was never received and so e mailed several times, no reply, messaged on Facebook, no reply, left comments on posts, no reply.
Tried to call and was told I would have to be called back.
I can’t imagine the customer service would be any good so in the end we decided to buy elsewhere which is a shame as it would have been a large order.

Recently I had to remove some failed POR15 tank sealer. I was advised that I needed at least 2 litres of Tank Strip. I purchased 5 litres. Unfortunately even after more than 7 repeat applications of the stripper, the sealer has hardly been affected! It proves the POR sealer is strong but the Tank Strip is close to useless to remove this sealer!!

I wanted to buy blast media for my new bead blast cabinet and had no clue what to order. I'd made my mind up based on the nice descriptions on their website but needed to call to order due to the weight of my order - fair enough.

The lady I spoke to was friendly and chatty and sensed that I didn't know what I was talking about and instead of doing the easy thing and just taking my order, she got someone from 'technical' to call me.

Sure enough, Lee rang within the hour and spent a good 10 minutes explaining the basics and recommended a more economical purchase for me.

These employees are a credit to the company, they were honest and helpful and I had no hesitation in ordering with them.

Faulty item received, poor customer service.

Great Service and Advice, products always arrive in a timely manner. They have all the quality paints and coatings for pretty much every stage of my project. If you're a restorer - I can highly recommend Frost.

Looked for a tool online out of stock so I chose their email you when its back in stock service, a week later received an email back in stock - ordered it waited a week no tool !, phoned the cowboys to get the news not in stock will be 3-4 weeks !, I was told the email was sent out in error due to a computer update later found out it was in stock and sold to someone else, For once in your life tell the truth !, Thanks for letting me know, its a good job I phoned or I would still be waiting !

Unfortunately. Yesterday I ordered 3 items via the website and paid for them including shipping. Today I received a polite email saying two of the items are out of stock and that any back orders would be subject to additional shipping when they came in. The shipping is expensive at £5.95 minimum, even if you order a single screw for argument's sake.
This is the 3rd time that I have ordered and found my items out of stock after the purchase event. The website should say clearly if it is in stock or not to give the buyer the opportunity to shop elsewhere, I have mentioned this to them several times and still, nothing has happened. The last time this happened they didn't even let me know and I had to chase where the order was then waiting nearly a month for it to arrive. Until Frost Auto Restoration up there game I have been forced by them to source my goods elsewhere in the future. It is a real shame as they do sell even if they don't stock a good coverage of products for restoration

Product ok. Delivery a joke.
Paid for express delivery 1:2 days

After 4 days I chased. "Out for delivery " arrived after 8 days.
No response as to reason or refund of high delivery costs. They do not care.
Don't waste money for express delivery.

POR15 for Calipers - Avoid this product. Complete waste of time and money. It reacts quickly with brake fluid. There is many better products on the market as well as a companies with better support.

"Thanks" for not accepting my return on the ebay for unused product within 30 days as advertised. Expect trading standards complaint...

Bought stuff from frosts before and the same excellent service, delivery and notification is excellent. Well packaged and excellent product. Can't fault

Easy to find what I wanted, painless payment. Delivery well within times quoted and well packaged.
Will use them again I am sure!
