ERRONEOUS ADVERTISING AND NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I ordered a number of books on the 7th of November with an estimated 3-5 business days delivery advertised on their website. In my confirmation email it says most of the books will arrive between the 21st of Nov to 2nd of December so more like 28 days delivery. I emailed customer support twice to cancel my order but no reply. I have sent a chaser but no reply. Best to avoid this company for online deliveries.

I regularly buy books as raffle prizes for our Arts Society. Of course I try to relate the prizes as closely as possible to the Lecture or other activity in hand. This is sometimes a challenging task when a very specialised subject is on the agenda. Usually all goes very smoothly but in this instance there were genuine problems in sourcing the specialist books in time and I had, with regret, to cancel. I sent off the message late yesterday evening, and by around 08:00 this morning I had a most helpful and courteous reply from the team (Lisa, in fact) cancelling the order and reassuring me that no funds had been taken. I genuinely could not have asked for a quicker or better service.

I ordered a book through Waterstones, but it never arrived. However, rang their customer care (which must be this company - Foyles) and received brilliant customer care and were also kind enough to call the store, reserve my copy and give me £3.01 credit, so I could buy the signed edition at the original price of my order.

Thank you so much - you do not often get customer care like this.

Although there was some delay in my order, the customer support were incredibly helpful with keeping me up to date with everything happening and made sure I was on top of all the details.

I always get wonderful service from Waterstones. Very responsive and timely considering I am in Canada.

I just wish a branch could open up over here!

Ordered books over 2 months ago but no updates, no returned emails, No nothing!
Cancelled books but no idea if they will reply to my email.

Best selection of books in Britain, the only thing as good as the Charing x Store? The online store. Lower Ground, Ground and first floor are essential.

In trying to support bookshops, rather than on-line only, I ordered two books from Foyles a month ago. Order confirmed by email. No books. No updates. Acknowledgement emails of the two I sent chasing an update, including the last one copied to James Daunt. Nothing from his office either. I used to enjoy shopping in Daunts but this Foyles experience leaves a nasty taste. Somebody at Foyles reads these reviews, and chooses to respond to the good ones. Has anyone here had their issue resolved after posting a poor review?

Terrible customer service. Ordered a book almost 3 weeks ago but nothing so far: no update. Sent multiple emails but I am not getting any answer. I will never order again with Foyles.

Just appalling. I used a book token and Paypal to place an order in July. One book was never sent. They have closed the phone line for "customer services" (non existent in my view) and refuse to reply to emails. To add insult to injury a further payment has been taken. The excuse of a new warehouse system holds no water after all this time. If it is new, it certainly isn't working!

Ordered a book 3 weeks ago. Nothing yet. No answers to emails. It's a pitty. Shame on them.

I made an order last week. No response. The book is now listed as unavailable and its price is significantly (!) higher. I followed up with them -- again, nothing. Silence.

I spent 150 pounds as a token on their website one month ago and still no response!

I wish I had checked Trust Pilot before placing my order as it seems I've had a familiar experience.

I placed an order 3 weeks ago and spent nearly £200 on books only for part of the order ot be fulfilled. I've contacted 'Customer Service' over emails and had no response.

Utterly shocking and completely appalling, I won't be ordering from them again.

Placed an online order end of August. They took payment, I haven’t received it and it’s 8th October. No one responding to my emails. I could have easily bought it in a bookshop and not paid postage.

books supposedly in stock still not dispatched, no answer from the customer service email. Utterly appalling behaviour in this day and age. Back to Amazon for me.

Ordered a book at the beginning of September. Emailed 2 weeks after to inquire why it had not arrived. Did not get a reply until beginning of October which stated they were canceling my order

Appalling, don’t buy online they take your money, don’t send the goods and then ignore any emails.

TERRIBLE.Ordered a book at the beginning of August and still awaiting delivery at the end of September.Customer service is a joke.I only ordered from Foyles because I had a book token.The same book on Amazon was 25% cheaper with next day delivery.

Bought a book on the 28th August, it finally arrived almost half way through September but was damaged. Customer service took ages to reply, though when they did they quickly sent out a replacement that arrived the next day... also damaged.

Another book I bought on the 28th August I was only just informed a couple of days ago that I will not be getting because it is no longer in stock now.

Will never be using them again.
