Claimed I was transporting liquids because the x-ray picked up an empty water bottle I planning to ship. She said she'd need to examine it, then proceeded to help two other guests (who got there after me) while I waited.

Eventually, the woman put on a pair of gloves and her "quick" examination turned out to be a deep search of my entire bag piece by piece. She opened every single pocket, flipped through my books, held up my underwear, and played with an empty sunglasses case while telling me it was just procedure but not actually explaining why anything I had was against regulation.

After an hour (and a £350+ estimate for a 30 pound suitcase) she had confiscated a loose 50 pence coin, my tweezers, a souvenir magnet and keychain, pimple patches, a disconnected charger brick, and video game SD card not attached to any console amongst other things. There were four other women who work there too, just standing and watching, also messing with my stuff (absent minded fiddling?) and after damaging the edges of some books I planned to gift my family, I was so humiliated and furious after around 90 minutes of this, still not having all the forms filled out, that I packed my bag and spent £75 to take it with me to another country and ship it from that country instead.

Still upset days later because I had to repack my bag after everything was messed up (they did not repack it politely at all) and things were left behind, presumably thrown away. Genuinely hope I never have to step foot in Heathrow again, let alone use this service. Good luck to anyone who tries.
