Evans Halshaw - BYD Birmingham Anmeldelser 

Visited this BYD dealership today for a pre-booked test drive…should’ve seen the red flags sooner. I arranged the test drive online, the email I received said I would be contacted to confirm the booking, I heard nothing but received a reminder email the day before so thought I’d go along.

Arrived just over 10 minutes prior to the booking (as advised in the reminder email) and stood in the dealership for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement at all. There was 1 member of staff serving a customer and another 3 sat at their desks. 1 member of staff returned from a test drive and went on to sit at his desk.

Once we were 5 minutes past my pre-booked slot and had still received no acknowledgement (despite being stood in the middle of the dealership) I decided to walk out.

As I got back into my car, the staff member who had returned to the dealership whilst I was waiting approached my car. By this stage, the poor service had already left a bad taste.

Despite having my heart set on a BYD for quite a while, I simply cannot part with money when the service received is so poor.

Just left the showroom angry and deflated after poppong in for a pre-arranged test drive.

We were advised to arrive 10 minutes early, which we did but at no point within the 15 minutes we waited were we approached by anyone.

Even if to advise of a delay, we would've completely understood.

It was only when we decided this wasn't the level of customer service we anticipated and decided to leave, we're we approached by a sales executive who'd not long returned from a test drive.

By this time we were in the car and had to express our dissatisfaction, we appreciated his apology but we were by this time exasperated and decided to rearrange a test drive in Stourbridge.

Went into Evans Halshaw (BYD Birmingham) to sell my Ford Fiesta after getting a valuation online, they knocked £500 off because of the car having part service history which I stated when I filled in the online form. Waste of time and I definitely would not recommend.

Anytime I have had cause to call or pop I have received the same level of service, efficient friendly and welcoming

Booking an appointment was easy, comfortable area in showroom whilst service carried out while I waited

Ana made our experience great. She is truly a credit to Evans Halshaw. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She explained everything very clearly and made us feel like vip customers. I had purchased BYD Seal U DM-i black from here on end of December 2024. The quality was far below expectations. The paint had scratches all over on the day of delivery, and when I brought it up, they offered to polish the paint. Surprisingly they done the polishing in couple of hours. Instead of improving the situation, the polishing process left visible scratches all over the car, including on the lights, which now look worse than before.

The lack of attention to detail and care during the process was shocking. I trusted them to improve the appearance of my car, but they only caused more damage. I cannot recommend their service to anyone looking for a professional and reliable service job.

Brilliant service received from Ana. A true credit to the company. Communication was excellent throughout the process of waiting for my car to be delivered and the after care follow ups she has provided are something I have not experienced before. Overall great service and communication and the BYD Seal is an excellent car.

I had a horrible experience with my car where someone broke into it. Thankfully my insurance covered the window but the wiring was messed up. Ben helped with booking me in at the earliest time and sorting out the issue, going above and beyond. Thank you Ben, thank you BYD!
