I love the convivence of the app sending the shopping list to the store for me. I can make substitution's on whatever I may need/prefer or delete an item all together.

Crooks, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Even after you cancel this subscription it will continue pulling money out and won’t refund. Awful!!

Such a helpful tool! It's nice to be able to have meals planned out, just having to choose which ones. Most of the meals are really good, with some being great, and a handful at times not a family favorite. I like the save/edit option. I've found that if you're able to tailor the recipes to what your family likes (adding, subtracting, or replacing certain ingredients), you'll be happier with this service than if you have to follow each recipe exactly. Having had it for several years, I do notice that sometimes the meals repeat (or are very close), but that hasn't been a big issue. I like that you're able to use every meal plan, not just your chosen one (if that weren't the case I probably wouldn't pay for it, as we use meals from 4-5 of the plans on a regular basis). I wish you could sort your saved meals into categories, instead of having to sift through them. I find the search feature doesn't always work well. I also much preferred the grocery shopping when you could choose your own items from the start, but I suppose most people like having the pre-chosen option (and you can always select a different item). I prefer choosing my own groceries base on brands we like and pricing.

We absolutely love Emeals! It makes it convenient to stay on track, eating the way we should and ensuring that we don't fall into a rut of eating the same meals repeatedly. We highly recommend this service!

Emeals has made my life so much simplier and the recipes are always delicious.

The weekly plan is great but just in case you don't think you or your family would like one of the recommendations there are a lot of other choices.

Love how easy this app is! I can even add other recipes and it will load the necessary items to my Walmart order for me.

I love the meals! They are so tasty. The bonus is having a grocery list made and sent to the grocery store! So easy to eat healthier.

I love emeals. It make selecting recipes and adding ingredients to my grocery order so easy! I'd love to be able to change the number I need to feed and the recipes automatically update. Also a place to make notes on each recipe would be great!

Very easy to use and lots of flexibility. Recipes are simple and easy to make. The grocery list building is amazing and it keeps me from in person impulse buys.

The recipe was delicious. The seemless pairing between eMeals, Instacart, and my local grocery store means that even though my chronic illness prevents me from leaving the house, I can still cook delicious foods my husband and I love.

It takes stress away from planning to shopping and grabbing unneeded items.

I've tried it twice. The first time was 10-15 years ago, when I had lots of small/medium sized children. I vaguely remember it being a headache in the grocery store and expensive. A few months ago, with only two adults regularly home, and getting into a slump with meals I decided to try it again. The second time around seems to be a slight improvement.

The pros: the recipes are better than I remember them being; we will probably keep a few of them around (I wouldn't have done that before) and I think we eat much healthier than before. The portions are very reasonable and filling for two smaller adults and we usually have lots of leftovers, even when I don't double the recipe. Also I got the plan on a new years sale for 90% off, so it was under 20$ for a year. I don't mind that at all, though I certainly wouldn't have paid much more.

The cons: It's clunky. Really really clunky. Clunky as in both awkward, time consuming, and wasteful. I purchased the "budget" plan for two people. These recipes are clearly written for at least a family of 4. They just cut the amounts in half. Which sort of works (I can certainly forgive them for saying "1/2 of an avocado")... until you realize that the store only sells ricotta (or something else) in a tub of a certain size and you have nothing to use the extra for. I've been doubling the recipes to cut back on food waste, but that utterly defeats the purpose of a plan for two.
The shopping list does not save time unless you use their partner grocery stores (Walmart is the only one in my area), who apparently may have exactly the right thing and may be able to fill your basket for you. I have to spend a lot of time working out substitutions and appropriate quantities or just figuring out what they mean. When it comes to things like produce, etc. the list often over estimates by a lot and does not really coordinate recipes: the list will say "a bunch of of celery" or a "head of lettuce," the recipe says 1/2 cup chopped. Or a specialty salad dressing that will only be used once... That is a LOT of waste, even if you incorporate the rest into snacks or other dinners. Also it would be much better if the shopping list was an excel sheet that I could modify instead of an inflexible PDF. My time in the grocery store has probably doubled. It isn't saving me money. I'm spending 300$ to 400$ a month on groceries for two people on the "budget" plan. While that isn't a big deal to some people, it is a big deal to me when I know I could easily do it for half of that. I'm only picking out maybe 4 meals from one week, doubling those recipes, skipping the next week entirely, and trying to figure out what to do with the leftovers for most of the rest of the time. I don't think I could afford to do more.

Overall I would say if you are a seasoned cook/budgeter/planner, you can probably do much better with some minor help. This service might be helpful if you are trying to learn these skills, but the 2-person plan is not really worth it.
The main benefit has been the recipes themselves, but it isn't worth it for me in the long run. After this year I am probably going to try a grocery list/recipe app instead.

I signed up for the service a year ago for a discounted rate. I hate auto renew and if given the option will not choose auto renew or will cancel immediately after. Some how eMeals system auto renewed me at full price for second year. I politely requested a refund as I did not sign up for additional year. They refused even though I haven’t used the service and did not want it. For meal planing it is a good option. Their customer service is not what I expected and was disappointed.

I love using this app. It saves me time and money. In addition the nightly discussion of "what's for dinner" has stopped. So much less stressing

After forgetting to cancel my subscription, I reached out to eMeals to request a cancellation and refund—only to be told that they don’t offer refunds and can only stop the renewal for the next year. I trusted the company’s reputation and didn’t check the T&Cs, assuming a fair approach from a business of this size. Clearly, that was a mistake.

If you’re considering their "free" trial, be warned: it’s designed to hook you in, and once you’re charged, there’s no way out. This kind of business practice is nothing short of deceptive and unacceptable.
