Very disappointing experience!

Bought a 2013 Vauxhall Ampera for £3,700. None of the issues subsequently identified were disclosed by the dealer before or during the sale, nor were they mentioned in the AutoTrader advert.

An independent inspection subsequently identified both front tyres requiring replacement, a corroded fuel pipe, an exhaust flexi requiring replacement, both rear boot struts requiring replacement, rear parking sensors requiring repair/replacement, significant rust underneath, a battery requiring replacement and brakes requiring servicing.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, the refund remains unresolved. I have now issued a County Court claim against the dealership to recover my money.

I would never use this dealer again. Beware!

I purchased a car from Elite Lane Autos. Within 3 days, I had the car independently inspected and several serious mechanical faults were identified, including a leaking rear shock absorber and a snapped front wheel stud, both identified as MOT failure items, damaged rear trailing arm ball joints and a significant oil leak.

The car had passed an MOT only five days before I purchased it. The independent mechanic's opinion was that these issues were unlikely to have developed in that five-day period.

I contacted Elite Lane Autos and exercised my right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which they rejected.

I have tried to resolve the matter reasonably, including travelling two hours to the dealership, providing evidence of the faults and giving them the opportunity to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, both the condition of the vehicle and the way the matter has been handled have been extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend not purchasing from this dealer.
