I called out Dyno Rod via British Gas.
The engineer Warren James turned up on time. He was very professional and managed to fix the leak and fit a new tap
He was very polite and tidy. We need more professionals like Warren

The speed of response after we complained that the water mains were turned off was impressive BUT more importantly the qualities of the engineer who came out . BEN.P (22E) was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. He managed to explain the problem in a very detailed , simple and understandable to us . He fixed the problem swiftly and gave us ample time to ask questions that he clearly answered

My engineer was Daniel T. He was absolutely excellent. He was friendly, helpful, polite and extremely efficient. He left my living room spotless after a three hour struggle with a recalcitrant radiator. Excellent service, thank you.

I wasn’t able to fit my fault into any of the tick boxes in the online booking system, so I used the phone number provided. The lady who answered had the same problem as me, but managed to find a work around and got me booked in. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, but she was brilliant.
The plumber, Nick Howard, arrived promptly, listened to our concerns and started to work the problem. He was considerate and conscientious throughout. It was lovely to watch someone quietly think his way through the situation, test his hypothesis, apply the fixes and double check his own work. Such a refreshing change from the slapdash bluster one so often faces. Nick was wonderful and should be commended.

Hasan attended our property today to deal with a leak that was causing water to come through a light fitting in our kitchen. He was friendly, professional and tidy, and repaired the issue swiftly.

He took the time to explain the next steps and gave us some really useful advice about allowing the walls to dry out fully before considering any plastering.

While he was here, he also kindly adjusting something that was causing our toilet to constantly flow (which was wasting water) which was really appreciated.

We were really impressed with Hasan’s service and would definitely recommend him. Thank you, Hasan!

Overall 1 star. Work was scheduled for an emergency appointment 3 days ago for a leak. This should have been resolved the same day but was told they’d be to me around 8am the following morning due to my work schedule. I
Was also told the engineer would bring a leak detection kit to determine where the leak was coming from as it was under floorboards and couldn’t be seen. On the day of the appointment I waited from 8am (time he was due) until 6:40pm when DAVID arrived without the promised leak detection kit. I stayed in 10.5 hrs for nothing , cancelling an important doctors appointment and leaving a disabled old lady in bed who cannot get out of it this whole time as I was told he would attend 10.5 hrs earlier. An agent at British Gas called TENBY who I spoke to at 6:15pm
To chase the engineer (2nd time) told me he’d spoken to the engineer who confirmed he’d arrive within the next 10-20 minutes and that he definitely did have the needed leak detection kit. I was fuming when he arrived without it. I’d taken a whole day off work unpaid for nothing as their call agents are liars, their engineers do not arrive when scheduled and then I’m told I need to stay home again the next day for another of their engineers to attend because the other one confirmed when leaving me the night said he’d contact the next person to bring a leak detection kit the next morning at 8am but did not do this as confirmed by Michelle at BG at 6:40AM despite his promises when leaving, That next morning came and went with nobody turning up. That’s now 2 days missed unpaid from work and day 3 of a leak not treated deemed as an emergency which should have been attended to 3 days prior. The next engineer also arrived without a kit. By now I’m furious. I was told by an agent he had to come to assess the leak himself as a senior engineer to determine whether the leak detection kit was needed. I told them whether he’s a senior engineer or god almighty himself he’d need X-ray vision as it can’t be seen without a kit. The senior engineer arrived (finally) 3 days later minus kit but re-did all the checks the previous engineer did last night which all turned out to be botched and needed doing properly again plus replacing a faulty stopcock I’ve had 3 days of stress, lies, lost earnings, no communication, and unreturned phone calls from this company. I’ve now lodged an official complaint for compensation and waiting to hear back from Darren the British Gas complaint manager as they are the ones who route all works to Dyno if you have additional cover on your home care policy for plumbing and electrics. If not dealt with by way of an acceptable outcome this will be going substantially further to small claims court. The only thumbs up however earned in this whole unacceptable shambolic fiasco was for SANDESH who attended today and corrected DAVIDS attempts. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER leaving me out of pocket for lost earnings due to their incompetence from the very start of the 3 days Where each agent confirms I’ve been lied to by the last one and even david the first engineer who needed his work correcting the next day by SANDESH also slagged off TENBY the BG call agent. Seems nobody in this company likes their colleagues either and spend all day cleaning up each others mistakes whist expecting the customer to spend the best part of 6 hours on the phone over 2 days. IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE THE AGENT
ON TUES 1st SEPT TOLD ME I NEED THE LEAK DETECTION KIT SO LISTEN TO THAT CALL TO BG AT 6:40AM THIS HAS BEEN MENTIONED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE OVER 3 DAYS AND WASTING 6+’HOURS ON THE PHONE. Michelle FROM BG ALSO LODGED A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS ON THURS 3 SEPT. DAVID FROM DYNO LIED SAYING CAMERAS ARE PUT DOWN THE PIPES DONT PASS THE BUCK BLAMING ME. THESE CALLS ARE ALL RECORDED. SANDESH CONFIRMED CAMERAS ARE NOT USED IN PIPES, GAS IS, FURTHER CONFIRMING DAVID LIED AND DIDNT CHANGE THE TOILET VALVE AT ALL. SANDESH REMOVED IT THE FOLLOWING DAY AND CHANGED IT SHOWING ME THE STATE IT WAS LEFT IN PLUS CHANGING THE STOPCOCK WHICH IM ADVISED DAVID SHOULD ALSO HAVE DONE PLUS PUT THE JOB THROUGH FOR THE LEAK DETECTION KIT TO ARRIVE AT 8AM THE NEXT MORNING CONFIRMING THIS DEFINITELY NEEDED AND TO GET THESE PEOPLE OUT AS THE LEAK CANNOT BE SEEN WITH THE NAKED EYE. THE DIGITAL WATER METER ALSO WASNT CHECKED FOR FLUCTUATING DIGITS BY DAVID WHICH SANDESH SAID SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE & MONITORED AT LEAST 10 MINUTES. SANDESH CONFIRMED DAVID CLEARLY DIDNT WANT TO ATTEND THIS APPOINTMENT BEING 10.5 HOURS LATE AND MOANING HE HAD TO DRIVE TO NEWBURY AFTERWARDS. FOR THE RECORD I WAS TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES OVER 3 DAYS ON MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS (most annoying person was team leader YONDELA who CONSTANTLY SPOKE OVER ME IGNORING ALL QUESTIONS I ASKED NOT KNOWING WHERE DYNO ARE BASED, WHERE THE LOCAL OFFICE IS & NOT KNOWING MANAGERS NAME
