Line 726 is possibly the worst bus line that exists: old buses that are falling apart. The bus never arrives on time, always at least 25 minutes late.

I want to express my total dissatisfaction with your services.

on Wednesday (20.02) I had a booking at 23:15 Dublin to Kildare, the bus only left Dublin at 23:45 so 30 minutes late.

Thursday (21.02) I also have a booking at 23:15 Dublin to Kildare, the bus left Dublin at 23:30(late), at Red Cow the driver asked everyone who going to Kildare to wait for the next bus, It doesn't make sense to wait for the 23:45 bus if I booked the 23:15 bus.

we are leaving Red cow at 00:23, the time I should already be in Kildare.

This company provides a terrible service, has no respect for customers.

Booked tickets from Dublin Airport with change at red cow,bus didnt show up at airport so i missed my connection.
At Red Cow another ,no show' bus and left wondering in late hiurs with freezing weather if next one will appear.No helpline that late,avoid!!!!
throw away all timetables-no point checking,arriving at random times or not showing at all.

Don’t use this if you need to get somewhere on time. Mine is currently running 35 minutes late.

If I could give this ‘service’ 0 stars I would. It astounds me that Ireland even allows a bus company like this to transport customers around the country.
I’ve NEVER had a smooth ride with this coach. More often than not the bus is over 1 hour late. On two occasions the bus broke down, and nobody has ever EVER apologized, acknowledged or even bothered trying to explain why this service is so terrible. All I get from customer care is ‘technical issue’.
We need more rail services!!!!!!! Aaargh!

I recently had a terrible experience with this bus service from Dublin Airport to Limerick. The bus scheduled for 13:30 was over an hour late( and didn’t even show up in the end) leaving me and others standing out in the freezing cold. I had no choice but to find a different bus home.

The bus itself was dirty and in desperate need of maintenance( I know this as the bus was parked at the stop just no driver to be seen) . To make matters worse, customer service is nonexistent. They never answer the phone, and when they do respond to emails, it’s often rude and unhelpful. I really can't understand how they have a license to operate. I strongly advise against using this awful service.
Save your time and energy DON’T USE THIS SERVICE EVER !!!!! VERY VERY UNRELIABLE
PS:They like to take your money for a service they don’t offer.

Extremely unreliable service. Was booked on a bus, watched the same bus completely bypass my stop on the app (the app seems to be the only functioning part of this company), not coming into the city at all. Had to get a taxi as I didn't know if there was room on the next bus for us, if it showed up at all, will not be reimbursed for this. Horrendous customer service also, they rarely answer the phone or respond to emails. You've a better chance of a unicorn turning up at the bus stop than a Dublin Coach bus.

I used to use this service for many years and this company used to provide a great service. This unfortunately changed in the past few years for some reason and they now seem intent on providing the worlds most unreliable service.

We were booked to travel from limerick city to Newcastle West. 11 pm at night. The bus did not show up. The tracker showed the bus completely bypassing limerick. I wasn't broke down. We were left stranded. We eventually organized a taxi to drive us home. The cost was 100 euros. Dublin coach would not refund the bus fare let alone offer to pay the taxi. This company is not to be trusted. If you can use alternative travel do.

Incomprehensibly undependable.
A sheer random number generator when planning on if busses are running.
"Hourly" busses regularly travel through the Bermuda Triangle it seems as they regularly disappear from sight.
Impossible to plan with any confidence when you're dealing with them & the customer service is atrocious.
Sadly, a necessity at times & the adrenaline rush when seeing if your bus will actually turn up isn't a good thing.

I rarely write bad reviews, but my recent journey with Dublin Coach left me no choice. From start to finish, the experience was far from what I expected.
First off, the driver’s behavior was unprofessional.
The bus itself was in poor condition. It was noticeably unclean, with sticky surfaces and stained seats that indicated a lack of regular upkeep. As if that weren’t enough, the service was anything but punctual—the bus departed significantly later than scheduled without any explanation, throwing off my entire day.

Adding insult to injury, there was a severe lack of air conditioning on the Dublin cork m9 service, making the ride uncomfortable. And don’t get me started on the toilets—they were downright filthy. Sometimes a foul smell was emanating from them. It’s unacceptable for any transport service to offer such poor sanitation. I expected a higher standard of professionalism and maintenance, and unfortunately, Dublin Coach fell short on nearly every front ( compared to other services like Aircoach, JJ kavanagh or GoBus). I hope they take these issues seriously and make the necessary improvements for future passengers.

Bus never turned up. Have to get a flight from Dublin Airport, so have to get a taxi.

Bus to airport from Tralee didn’t show up. Just about made my flight after getting the next bus. Luckily, I gave myself extra time.
Freezing cold on bus. Heating rarely seems to work.
Taking a gamble getting this. Go with air flight for future reference, Way more dependable & you don’t have to worry about getting hypothermia.

Late busses, drivers not turning up, dirty coaches…where do I start. I swear I will never use this service again it is totally unreliable. They even overcharged my daughter who forgot her leap cars ( had ID & student card) and she ended up paying €80 for a return journey.

Appalling service. Have used service twice, both times over 2 hours late.

The only reason I give it one star is because 0 isn’t an option. If you like gambling this is the bus for you. Do not rely on this service if your arrival is time sensitive, it’s basically a roll of the dice for wether or not it shows each time. So many times the bus just doesn’t show with no warning and I had to get a taxi for 5-6 x the price, and the fairs are extortionate to begin with as well, another 3-4 x the price of a Dublin bus or any other bus that takes leap card. DO NOT GET THIS BUS

Bus didn't show up on a Monday morning. This happens about 1 in 3 times I use this shitty service. Never again.

I have had the unfortunate experience of travelling with Dublin Coach multiple times in recent years, including recent trips to Kildare Village and Killarney. Each journey reinforced the company’s appalling lack of reliability, professionalism, and concern for passenger safety.

Dublin Coach consistently fails to meet even the most basic standards of customer care and safety:

- Disregard for Customer Time: Chronic delays without explanation or updates show a complete lack of respect for passengers’ schedules.
- Unprofessional Staff: Drivers often display rude behaviour, and their customer service is virtually non-existent. Complaints are ignored or dismissed, highlighting a glaring lack of accountability.
- Unsafe Practices: I have witnessed serious safety violations, including buses stopping on motorways without hazard lights, creating dangerous situations for passengers and other road users. On one occasion, in December 2024, buses stopped twice within 24 hours due to mechanical problems, further emphasising the lack of proper maintenance.
- Poor Maintenance and Cleaning: The
buses are poorly maintained and often emit unpleasant odours, such as the smell of urine. Cleaning conditions are subpar, leaving passengers to endure uncomfortable journeys.
- Inadequate Winter Comfort: Despite outside temperatures of -1°C, the air conditioning was running inside the bus, making the ride unbearably cold and miserable.
- Monopolistic Indifference: As the only service provider on several routes, Dublin Coach exploits its monopoly by delivering substandard services with no regard for customer satisfaction.

The root of these issues lies in Dublin Coach’s monopolistic hold on several routes. With no competitors, they operate without accountability or incentive to improve services.

If there were even one alternative provider, I would switch immediately, and I have no doubt many others would do the same. This lack of competition creates a ripe opportunity for new businesses to enter the market. A competitor offering reliable, safe, and customer-focused services would surely thrive, as Dublin Coach fails to meet even the most basic expectations.

Their lack of professionalism, communication, and safety measures make them wholly unfit to operate a public transport service.

Message to the Company:
Dublin Coach needs to take meaningful action to address its systemic failures—including improved maintenance, professional staff training, and better communication. Customers deserve better: transparency, respect, safety, and comfort should be the minimum standard for any transport service.

On several coach trips to the airport from Portlaoise, the toilet on the coach has been locked. Its a 2 hour journey, and sometimes 3 hours depending on traffic. Drivers seem to treat it as their personal property. Makes for a very unpleasant journey, especially for us older mortals!

Terrible service. I usually get the flightlink bus from Abbeyfeale to Dublin Airport but it didn’t suit my flight time this time around so I was forced to get the Dublin coach today (Jan 3rd) to the airport. The bus arrived 39 minutes late, which I hear is pretty normal. The bus was absolutely freezing the whole way to Dublin. We asked the driver about the heating and he said it was broken. Considering the sub zero temperatures outside you can imagine how cold it was heading up to Dublin. We actually felt more sorry for the driver, who was really nice, as he had so many complaints from passengers about the cold. Then we found out that the toilets on the bus were locked (drilled shut) and were not working. The driver did stop at Barack Obama Plaza so passengers could use the toilet, but still, the quality of the buses is just not good enough. A very very poor service and definitely one to avoid if at all possible. The only saving grace was the driver who was professional, kind and tried his best to make the journey comfortable despite the below par bus that he had to operate.

Buses are never on time. Have just missed my flight depending on a bus that should have got there 2 hours before my flight departed. Bus arrived in Naas 40mins late then stopped at the Red Cow and the driver told us he wouldn't be continuing to the airport- another green bus showing Dublin airport as the destination was parked behind us but that driver also wouldn't go to the airport, just say there chatting with his mate. Another bus turned up 30mins later and got to the airport just as my gate was closed. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY - A NATIONAL DISGRACE. What is the Ombudsman doing?
