I have never seen a bad return policy than this one. They just mention easy returns to trap customers into buying from their site. They do not give the payment back to your original payment method even after you return the product paying from your pocket. And all their stores in every state are permanently closed. So there is no way we can even return in store. Be prepared to lose your money if anything you order from here isn’t a good fit!!

I would gladly give minus 5 stars to this company.
Nothing fits, I walk on 2 of my dresses, who are too long ( I'm tall, 5'9"), and they don't refund ( only store credit that I'm not interested in).

If I could, I would give Dressbarn.com ZER0 stars. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I ordered 2 dresses on 4/4/21 in a size large in two different colors. I received the same dress in a large and an extra large. They then sent me a small in Hot Pink. I have yet to receive the one I ordered. I asked to speak with management and I have yet to be contacted. I even sent an email requesting a response and to date, I have not received one.

If I could give less than this I would. This company pretty much took my money and won't refund it. The communication is horrible. I tried to make a return at a return bar location but they couldn't find the order and so could not process the return. DB has done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. You can't speak to anyone EVER and have to use email which takes days for them to respond to. I loved DB before the major changes but now they are ruined. I hate the fact that so many companies get away with doing this kind of business. It's horrible. I hate this company and will never shop there again and will make sure I tell as many people I can.... Since that's all I can do anyway.

I am having the same issue. I received a top in which the fabric was thin, cheap and frayed at the seam. I was told I would receive a return label and shipping address, I have not received either one.
Can anyone help me find the return address or other hints?

Beware! This company is a complete scam. They don't provide refunds and do not make this info easily known. And then they never return calls. I can not get through to a manager who apparently is the only person who can help.

I ordered an outfit for a wedding and it came-just too dressy for the occasion-absolutely horrible customer service-will not let me return it-only credit-I will NEVER shop at Dressbarn again and hope this helps others not get messed around by this horrible company

I bought all my clothes at our local Dress Barn. Heartbroken when they closed. Heard company had been bought out. Was leery to order, but, after a year I did order a dress given the online store seemed to carry the same vendors & there are so few local stores left to shop at! I hate buying clothes online...Need to try them on! Anyway, the dress arrived & the fabric looked like the fabric they make Cheap Halloween costumes out of! So ugly! Didn't get to try it on till this week because I was very sick, and hospitalized, the month of April into May. I ordered the size I've always purchased at Dress Barn at present weight, an XL/1X, thinking it might be too big since I'd lost another 13lbs as a result of my prolonged illness. I was beyond SHOCKED to find that the dress was absolutely way too small! It fit more like a medium! So, here I have a dress that looks like a cheap Halloween costume ( It was for a wedding!), it doesn't even fit, AND I CAN"T GET A REFUND ONLY A CREDIT! Like I would want to buy anything else from them...NOT! I have to settle for a credit! YOU GOT ME ONCE, but, YOU WILL NOT GET ME TWICE! So now I'm out just under $70! Returning the rag tomorrow, but God knows what I'll be able to purchase on their horrible site with the credit...Please don't make the same mistake!

This company is horrible. They did not send my order and sent no updates for well over a week after I placed the order. I needed the items for an event. I called to find out where they items were and the overseas customer service person said they hadn't shipped out yet but that they would ship soon. I told him I couldn't wait and needed to cancel the order and he said it was too late and that I'd just have to return the items for an "egiftcard" once I received them. They do NOT give refunds EVER, but you don't realize that until AFTER you place the order. Please do not shop here and put them out of business before more people get ripped off.

Wouldn’t have even given it one star, but had to. Ordered from there, for a Mother of the Groom dress! Ordered several so I had a choice, and planned to send whatever I didn’t use back. What I didn’t do, was check for reviews, and they don’t let you know about their return policy. They’ll accept a return, but refuse to issue a refund, only an e-gift certificate. The quality of the merchandise I received was horrible. Cheap crappy material, and a cheaply made garment. Never never again. Please learn from my mistake.

Used to love DB in-store shopping for work and play clothes, but now that they are online it's totally a “buyer beware.” Poor quality, returns for Gift Card only, and they try to trick you into a “subscription” for free shipping- a $9.99 monthly reoccurring charge! Don’t fall for it! It’s a complete rip off.

The pants I ordered were WAY too big. Dress Barn will not refund my money which amounts to over $160. They offered store credit only since the smaller size is not available. What a scam. I will never order from them again. Such a shame, as they used to be a good company from which to purchase clothing.

I recently ordered 2 dresses for my daughters wedding, planning to keep the one I liked best. The dresses were very odd. Poorly made and off sized so I returned them. They will only issue store/online credit. When i complained that this policy is unfair and also impossible to find on their site they only offered to increase my credit but no refund. Very deceptive practices.

Dressbarn is under new management and NO LONGER ISSUES REFUNDS.
This effectively makes all items final sale, which is NOT mentioned while ordering.
Who ever heard of an online clothing retailer that does not issue refunds? You have to commit before you try on?
BUYER BEWARE!!

I ordered clothing that was supposed to be delivered on March 1st. It is now March 4th. My package has been in Minnesota for the past 3 days and has not moved! When I inquired about the reasoning for slow service, I was informed that Dress Barn uses FedEx SmartPost service. This is the slowest service and the cheapest service available. They are not able to expedite or research why the package is so slow in shipping, so I am forced to wait indefinitely for my package to arrive. This service also does not allow me to receive notifications for delays or package arrival, etc. I have been a dedicated dressbarn Shopper in the past, while we had a store in our city. I will no longer order through Dress Barn because of their poor service. Shoppers, beware.

About two weeks ago, three pieces of my favorite Dressbarn line of clothing plus two face masks were ordered. The three pieces of clothing arrived via FedEx which stated the package was left at the garage (10 steps away from a covered front porch where the package would have been dry). (See that in another review of FedEx). The message about the two face masks being delivered by DHL just came in today and were in my mailbox. I tried the two tops on and the jogger pants. The top to a jogger outfit had three quarter sleeves. First of all, who has ever heard of a jogging suit with 3/4 sleeves? The fabric is very thin and not a winter fabric plus the sleeves look like something from the 1980's with the puff shoulders that did not show up well in their online catalog. I loved going into DB's stores, their return policies, their fantastic customer service, their helpful and caring employees but heads up to anyone before ordering on their website, save the headaches and go to Amazon. Store credits only, now I understand why it is impossible to leave reviews on their site unless you are one of their "VIP" members. Also, on their website, they show another item in the DbSunday line of clothing with 3/4 sleeves but in the description, it states the sleeves are long sleeves. What is up with that?

I guess I should have read the reviews before ordering. Since all their brick and mortar stores have closed and they have moved to only online ordering, their service has been TERRIBLE. I am still waiting for items that are past the date that they were supposed to have been delivered. I have tried to call their customer service and you cannot get a live person. So I have left a message and I am still waiting. I SHOULD HAVE GONE STICKLY WITH AMAZON. Free shipping, customer service that answers phones and extensively shortly delivery time. Lesson well learned.

Stay Away!

Items listed as available are out of stock. When inquiring from their "customer service" department you receive many excuses such as " this item was a pre-sale", "this item is in transit" "item in transit so we can not issue a refund. It is now two weeks since I orderd and the item has disappeared from their website. No longer need the item and I doubt if I will receive a refund after reading other reviews.

The only reason this is receiving 1 star, is it's the only way to leave a review. Recently, I made an order, and the order was delivered to the wrong address. Consequently, Dress Barn put the wrong address, on my package and they want me to call the post office, obtain a reference number or something, and some other tasks. My goodness, I did what I was supposed to on my end, ordering the product...you guys made a mistake, and now you want me to do the foot-work to resolve it. That is not how this works!! I am done with dress barn, thank God it was nothing but $24, but at this point, it is the principle...Bad Business!!

Beware!!! Quality is very poor, sizing is completely inaccurate on some products. The biggest concern and problem i have with them is you can ONLY get store credit! They also charge a return processing fee. So your store credit is not even the amount of your initial purchase. I now have a credit and do not know if i will ever even use it. Maybe i can buy a boatload of socks or something that is safe to say will fit. Should i pick something else and it doesnt fit then i have another deduction from my credit. With so many people buying online today i guess Dressbarn/Roz & Ali also wants to dissolve their online business as well. I would have continued to look at and purchase their clothing products if only they would credit the charge card i used for my order. THEY REFUSE TO DO THIS!!! Such a shame.
