Highly reliable, great tutors.

This was an incredible journey! There was a lot of material to cover, which took a long time (if you’re aiming for top grades). I managed to get through it in a year, though it was tough, especially since the assessments were challenging. The online portal was straightforward and easy to get around. I'm really proud of scoring top marks in all subjects, which made the experience even more worthwhile. The teachers were truly excellent, always willing to lend a hand. This is the place to turn to if you’re looking to boost your career. If I had to do it all over again, I’d definitely choose the Distance Learning Centre! This centre has an excellent reputation across universities.

Lots of self directed study and learning but I knew that. Great tutors, work was always marked quickly with detailed feedback. Tutors only an email away! Really proud I completed this in 7 months and with 2 kids and a job!

After 15+years since I sat my GCSE’s, I never thought I would be able to complete a course for University.
This course enabled me to not only complete to the minimum grades needed, but surpassed even my expectations of myself. The tutors were always on hand when needed (email, calls), the design of the course was amazing and the whole process has given me the tools and beliefs that I can now go on and complete a degree at University

I’ve had a really positive experience with DistanceLearningCentre throughout both my functional skills maths and Access to HE diploma. The student services team have always been incredibly supportive, they have been consistently helpful, and very quick to respond.

I’m almost at the end of my course and have been accepted to university next year to study Adult Nursing, which I’m very grateful for. Having a provider like DistanceLearningCentre that offers flexible courses like this has made it possible for me to return to education as a mature student and work towards my dreams and goals.

Although I’ve nearly finished with my diploma, I would consider enrolling on PPD course in the future knowing how easy their platform is to navigate and how friendly their tutors are. I would highly recommend this provider to anyone in a similar situation to me who is interested in getting back into education.

I really enjoyed and helped me to achieve my goals

The tutors are very helpful and responsive and the learning materials and resources they provide are very good. It's a really good option for mature students like myself, needing to provide proof to universities that you have 'recent engagement in education'.

I found my tutor friendly and easy to talk to whenever I had any concerns. However, considering the cost of the course mine was £1,199 I expected a higher level of support and guidance. I typically exchanged four to five emails a month with my tutor regarding my studies, and I feel I could have achieved even more if my tutor had been more readily available for support.
If you’re confident in your abilities and don’t require frequent tutor interaction, the Distance Learning Centre may suit you well. However, if you feel you would benefit from a stronger, more consistent support system, I wouldn’t recommend this style of learning.
At first, I found the learning portal quite difficult to navigate but with time it became much easier to use. The course content is very informative. As I near the end of my studies, I can genuinely say I’ve learned far more than I expected. I’m now looking forward to completing my diploma and beginning my degree.

I wouldn't recommend DLC to anyone who is not neuro typical. I have Dyslexia and ADHD and the support is diabolical. I'm offered extensions which doesn't help and when I ask for support I'm just sent emails. I'm writing about topics that i'm not interested in and have nothing to do with my chosen course (Business). I need to keep going with the course because it's cost me so much money however I'm finding it incredibly overwhelming and wish I had known before signing up there would be lack of support. Please don't make the mistake I have. Look elsewhere and do your research.

I have been in this course for nearly six months, and I have encountered nothing but trouble. There is no formal tutoring or teaching involved, and the material is outdated. The module content is password protected, and you cannot access it until each assignment is complete. However, the catch is that they do not want you to achieve the qualification sooner, as they cannot make additional funds by charging you extra. They often fail assignments for reasons that are not appropriate and require you to resubmit the same assignment repeatedly. This seems more like a check for AI usage rather than a measure of whether your work is incorrect.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the tutor, I was passed around to four different tutors within one month. I did not have my work marked for over two months, and after voicing my concerns with DCL, they assigned me another tutor. However, this tutor then went on annual leave and transferred me to yet another tutor, who informed me that the original tutor, who had failed to mark my work, would now be responsible for marking it.

I hold a BS Hons degree in business management leadership and studied the same subject alongside DCL. In comparison, DCL falls short compared to three other training providers. The time for processing marked assignments is left until the last day, the 10th, when they are due to be returned. Usually, you are told that you need to resubmit for the most trivial reasons, giving you another 10 days added to the timeline. when you do receive the marked worked very poor marking and grading .

The materials themselves have countless spelling mistakes and errors, and the diagrams are neither clear nor relevant. When you ask questions about this, you do not receive help or replies; you are simply ignored by the tutor. you do not get any support offering you help on how to achieve the grade you need they are only there to make money .

They claim to offer assistance by sending the same automatic email each week. However, if you express disappointment with the materials, they will ignore your concerns.

They have replied to this review claiming they dont have student by this name however this is untrue and a lie as i have current proof of my account with them and bank statements and email history to prove this is not true

I started studying with distancelearningcentre.com a few months ago and my tutor Jo was excellent and supportive. She spent over three times the scheduled call time speaking with me as I had some technical difficulties and hadn’t been in education for a long time.
She gave very good guidance, especially when it came to pacing myself for my assignment deadlines. I started in November but I still managed to catch up.

Unfortunately, I had not researched the student finance legislation properly, and had to discontinue my studies because I had not been resident in the UK for three continuous years before the start date of a university course for some years in the future, and would not be able to receive the financial aid that I needed as a result.

When I emailed student services, requesting suspending or leaving my course, I got a very swift reply from Jane the Progression Manager, who informed me that my Course Status had been changed from Active to Finished very quickly, and gave me a lot of other guidance if I did wish to return to my studies, which was easily possible.

In addition, I very promptly received a full refund of all the money I had stored in my student account to pay for my fees!

I am forever grateful for all the support I received from the staff at distancelearningcentre.com. I hope that every student realises their dreams with such excellent support!

Amazing tutors who are always available when I needed help and are extremely knowledgeable. The study materials are easy to access and to understand. I feel more prepared to step back into education from my studies.

Studying with distancelearningcentre has been a pleasure. I never thought I'd be able to go back into education due to a drastic decline in my mental health, and even when starting my course I had feelings of uncertainty; however, this course provider has completely changed my perspective. The structure of the course has allowed me to familiarise myself with the key components of academic writing, especially with the feedback given from tutors. I've finished the psychology side of the diploma which I enjoyed, especially being a new subject to me and being able to explore interesting topics; additionally, I'd like to thank my psychology tutor in aiding me with psychology as well as my university application. They have definitely reassured me through the stress of the process. I'm currently studying biology and although I have just started, I'm certain that I will also enjoy it due to my biology tutor providing me a detailed insight into this section of the course.

I’m rating my experience a 4 star, and 1 for me as the student. Because, honestly at first with the SAQs, it was so easy, never knew what was coming for me with theTQA. It was a bit tough for me because l've never studied online, so everything felt awkward and confusing for me. But now I’m loving it, all thanks to this lovely tutor who was so patient enough to guide me through my first process, and not telling me off.

Really great tutor, helpful, kind and supportive. Made me thoroughly enjoy doing the course.
