my tutor has been truly an excellent tutor and very supportive throughout. Has made my experience alot easier knowing she was always there to support me in any help or guidance needed.

Super easy to sign up and get started and allowed me to complete my course in my own time. I was grateful to have a great tutor who was always available to explain my course material and ucas application in further detail! If anyone is looking to start university or further their knowledge in a subject then I highly recommend distance learning centre - I have 3 university offers already!

My experience with distance learning centre has been nothing but amazing! Everyone who i have spoke to from the right start has been so supportive and helpful, they also seem like they really care to do the best they can for you which i really appreciate. I love the way it is structured too so i am able to get it done in blocks and marked almost instantly. I will be sad when i no longer am with distance learning centre as they have really changed my view on education from negative to positive as it shows that these tutors at distance learning centre really love their jobs and are here to help all the time. I am always so grateful to have been able to do an access course through them.

I have had a great experience with the Distance Learning Centre so far.tutor was very helpful and provided clear feedback on my work. The communication regarding my module change and the transition to a new tutor has been very professional and easy to follow. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for supportive distance learning.

The Distance learning centre provides such great support and guidance to encourage you in independent learning. I have found the resources and tutors to be clear and constructive and have led me to develop my understanding of every unit whilst studying remotely

I've learnt time management, study skills, and have received detailed feedback from tutors - I generally am enjoying what I'm doing.

I have had a wonderful experience with my course, and my tutor, P L, has been amazing. I faced some difficulties along the way, but she was always there to support me, explain things patiently, and guide me through every challenge. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and encouraging, which has made my learning experience really positive.

My tutor has been super helpful and was ready to give me advice with whatever I was stuck on. I haven't finished my course yet, but I can say that my tutor has been super supportive and helpful.

I found my time with dlc to be a mixed bag. There are both positives and negatives to studying with them (as it would be for any establishment). I also changed the course I was studying part way through so I have an insight how a stem subject compares to a humanities subject with dlc.

I found the ability to work on assignments whenever best suited me very helpful as I do work full time. The ability to also complete a full course online is not something a lot of colleges offer and not having any lessons to attend meant that I did not have to change my work schedule.

When you start a unit you will be provided with a password for the materials. I found the materials to be a little useless. They would only touch briefly on different topics and sometimes had very little to do with the actual assignment. I understand that you need to do your own research to achieve a merit or above but if you were to only use the materials then you wouldn’t even achieve a pass. They do have a library on their website full of resources that you can use to help with your research and links in the materials for some further reading. However, when I would use their resources I would receive feedback on the assignment about how I should not use them because the information in them is at a lower level then what is needed for the assignments. I found this really confusing so I stopped using any resources they provided.

Before you can be given the password for your assignment, you need to complete the SAQs. This is a small collection of questions to show that you have an understanding of the topic before you start the assignment. These have the same issues as the materials, they were never really related to the materials and I would have to do a lot of research just to answer them. The SAQs have no effect on your overall grade and your tutors do not even read them. I know this because I had multiple SAQs that had question that I could not answer. For example, multiple choice questions with the same incorrect answer repeated four times or a question that will ask you to write about the provided dater but then not provide that dater. I would answer these questions by saying “this question cannot be answered due to missing information/error” There were also some questions that were repeated word for word.

Despite these issues with the materials and SAQs, I did find the assignments to be well structured. The questions in the assignments were well written, easy to break down and each would have their own help and guidance section that was always very helpful.

I studied with dlc for two years and I had three tutors over that time. I found that the rate that you get responses back to emails or your marked work returned did differ from each tutor. There were sometimes where I was waiting for a long time to get feedback from a previous assignment that I had already completed the next assignment by the time I had gotten it. When I first started I was referencing sources in my assignments the way I was taught to when I was attending an in person college. It was only picked up by my second tutor that the way I was referencing was incorrect and that this makes my assignment not ready for marking. I was very concerned because I had been able to submit seven assignments with my first tutor without this being picked up as an issue. I unfortunately was not given an answer as to why this was not picked up by my first tutor.

I did find that the support from my tutor and the colleges website was very strong while I was completing my UCAS application. They have a whole section on their website with a step by step guide to help you complete the application. I also received really good feedback from my tutor about my personal statement which helped me improve it.

Now that I have completed my studies with dlc, I can recommend them if you are a strong independent learner and have studied something similar to your course previously. I first started out with dlc on a science course where I had not done anything similar previously. Due to having little support (compared to an in person college) I did struggle. I then changed my course over to business which I have studied partly before so I did find it a little easier.

They are very supportive, I have done two courses with DLC, and I always recommend them to anyone who wants to study online.

I studied through the distance learning program and had a great experience. The course materials were clear, well organized, and easy to follow, which made studying flexible and manageable. Throughout my time at school, I always believed that I didn’t have anything in me to be academic. I struggled with the pressure of exams and with remembering and recalling key details. I overworked and drained myself trying to catch up to secure grades that would allow me to progress onto my next step.

When my time at college didn’t go the way I had hoped, I felt extremely lost and hopeless about the potential of going to university and gaining any other notable qualifications. But when I suddenly found DistanceLearning and their Access to HE courses, I spontaneously found what I wanted to achieve the most, and I truly believe I was meant to be educated in that way in order to learn what I did and gain a plethora of valuable skills.

With being able to work under my own time management, in the comfort of my own home, and still get support from my tutor, I was able to push my limits and see my hard work and full potential pay off with high marks.

So, thank you DistanceLearning for instilling this newfound confidence in me to learn and show off this academic side of myself. Onwards and upwards to university!

I am half way through my course. Beginning find it difficult, once I understand the process of each UNIT and how to deal with assessment, I found this quite easy. Also , you have help from your tutor once weekly-which helps a lot if you stuck, or has additional questions. I would highly recommend this to all of people that preparing to Uni. I am mature student-so luckily I can finish that on my free time between my busy life with 3 children!!

What made my experience great was, half way into the course I got a very compassionate Tutor who understood my struggles and challenges and was supportive until I finished. She was always checking in on me to find out how I was fairing with my studies and ready to lend a help on how to get on with the assignments. Although, it took me a very long time to finish but I am happy all the same. DLC is a highly reputed Online Course Provider and I will recommend them to anyone who is looking forward to upgrading his/her educational standard. I am proud to have made it through them,

Both TAQs and the materials system work well. Communication with tutors if you have a problem is efficient as well. At the beginning of the course, I did find it hard to adjust to the workload and get around to understanding how the systems work, so the information could be clearer or more help is needed.

I had a pleasant experience studying at DistanceLearningCentre.com. All the tutors I came across are very helpful. They always made things easy for me by explaining further. I am really impressed and thank you for experience.

You are doing everything yourself. You have to do dig in everything yourself. Ok that’s not the issue. The problem I faced was the password. You need password for materials,SAQ and TAQ, which is generated and given by your tutor each time. My tutor takes 2/3 days to reply me via email, even in week days. You request password for material and SAQ, finish your SAQ, you upload it, email your tutor, request password to start TAQ. It annoys when you are plan your ILP deadline, you leave everything behind to do your assignment and your tutor doesn’t reply you and won’t get your password on time. It might be only on my case. You might be lucky and get good tutor.

I was recommended DLC, by a friend who is a nurse, because this has been my ambition from since I was a teenager, however I had my family first.
When I started I thought to myself oh my goodness this is going to be so tough, especially trying to balance life.
I had ups and down, and to be honest half way through I wanted to tap out !
I had an amazing tutor oh my goodness she literally held my hand across this track of life and enabled me to continue, there are some real challenging assessments, but just ask for help from whoever is assigned to you they are honestly there to help.

What I would say is once you have even come this far just to browse this page, you’re on the right track and made the right decision! You’ve got this !

My journey with DLC was very smooth in terms of clarity towards my learning. My teachers were on hand to answer my queries. It all started with me because the decision to be successful was mine and seeing my commitments towards my studies, my teachers were absolutely happy to help.
