Great value US Open Tennis Balls
I purchased six tubes of Wilson US Open Tennis Balls (4 Ball Tube). These were good value at £5.90 per tube and were delivered in good time. I have so far only opened one tube. These are quality balls and all is in order. At the price, I couldn't be any happier.

*** UPDATE - the team looked into my enquiry further and found out the soiled item may have come from their 3rd party supplier. They gave me a full refund and a voucher and an apology. This matter was resolved satisfactorily in the end and I am grateful they went the extra mile to look in to it.
DO NOT ORDER from this company. I would like to give them 0 stars. They sent me soiled trainers and then suggested I was making it up and trying to return them fraudulently. No response on their customer service line or reply to emails to speak to a manager. AVOID. UPDATE ** in response to the below - I did receive an email later that day, the helpline rang out after several attempts. I really hope they refund me the £110 I am due for receiving soiled goods. will update this review in due course !

We would never knowingly send out an item in a less than brand new condition, so we do have to fully investigate the item’s history to determine how this could have occurred. We hope that you can appreciate that we have to apply due diligence to get to the route of the problem, before we are able to offer a resolution. This investigation is still ongoing, and you are being kept informed via email on any progress with this.
We also would like to correct some untruths in your review. Our customer service team did answer your call on 22nd October at around 10am, and you were advised at that time that the manager dealing with this investigation was unavailable. You then did also receive a response to your emails when they became available, and before the time that your review was posted.

Fantastic experience with Direct Sports! I ordered a badminton racket and court shoes, and the quality of both products is top-tier. When I needed to exchange the shoes for a different size, the customer service was exceptionally helpful, prompt, and supportive throughout the whole process. The replacement pair fits perfectly, and the racket performs brilliantly on the court. Highly recommended for any sports gear!

Shoes didn't fit
Shoes didn't fit. I paid delivery of course. And then they charged me another delivery to send it back, they charged to create a return label and also I had to pay to print it at the post office. It cost me almost 20£ to send the shoes back. Insane. Never again.

Our return fee of £3.99 is applicable for items returned to us for a refund when our return label has been used to post the item back to us. We offer this to give customers the option for the postage fee to be deducted from the refund amount, rather than having to pay upfront at the Post Office. We have looked into the details of your return and found that one of our returns labels was generated for your order, and the tracking information for this label shows that it was used to post the item back to us. For this reason, the return fee was applicable for your order.

Incorrect marketing
The trainers I ordered were advertised as 'star white' with the image distinctively showing that the trainers were white. In reality the trainers were an off white, almost creamy colour. I had paid delivery cost and now needed to pay to return the trainers as they were incorrectly marketed. I contacted them to ask for reimbursement of these costs (£10) but was refused, even though I had sent photos of the trainers showing a distinct difference in colour to what they had advertised.
Also, beware that the return process says 30 days but if you want a refund the item needs to be returned in 14 days.

We are sorry to hear that the item you ordered did not appear as you expected. All product names, including colour variations, as well as the product images are all provided by the brands themselves. Naturally, studio lighting can unfortunately sometimes cause products to appear differently on the picture than in person. In this particular case, the shoes you purchased were labelled as ‘Star White/Heather/Peach Fuzz’, and the image shows that the body of the shoe is a slightly off-white colour.
We would also like to clarify that our returns period is 30 days, meaning customers do have a full 30 days to return items to us for a refund or exchange. The 14 days stated within our returns policy refers to the amount of time we allow for items to be posted back to us, after the return request has been logged via our returns portal.
We are sorry that you feel disappointed with your experience with us on this occasion, and hope that this helps further clarify your queries.

Racquet arrived quite fast however, the free tennis balls I should have received were removed from my order due to being out of stock. You can still see them on their website as free gift. I am disappointed that they didn’t add any other balls, as that was the reason that convinced me buying from them.

Poor service, poor return policy
I ordered Babalot Gold Championship Tennis Balls at a premium price + shipment. It never arrived. When I requested a refund, they didn't process it saying the packaging is still not returned by Royal Mail.
I am never buying from them recommend not to purchase. They have a very bad return policy and their prices are very high.

Needed a good squash racquet wity less than 48 hours before next game. Over £50 was free NDD and got a great racquet - site very clear, easy to pick racquet to match my game and arrived next day as promised. Fantastic!

Zero stars, refused to accept return of stained, worn trainers
One shoe received was badly marked with a stain on the front upper mesh (appeared to be a large coffee drip on white material) and both appeared to have been worn. I immediately filled in a return form and returned the shoes.
A week or so later I received them back again with a letter refusing their return.
Emails back and forth with customer service exposed inaccuracies and inconsistencies with Direct Sports personnel, poor attention to detail and ignoring of provided clear evidence that I could not have been at fault (the delivery time and submission of return form being extremely close together), however they stood firm on a fabricated position that I was lying and in my opinion have effectively STOLE my money.
Will never order anything from this company again. 0 stars.

As explained in both the rejection letter, and the email with customer service, this particular pair of shoes had not been sent to another customer previously, and therefore the damage could not have been caused by another person. Our warehouse determined that there were clear signs of wear on the shoes, that showed they had been used and meant they were no longer in a condition that we could accept. We have looked into the timing of your return and can see that the shoes were delivered on the afternoon of the 10th, and a return was submitted on the evening of the 11th. While this is a relatively short period, it does not mean there was insufficient time for the shoes to have been worn.
We would also like to clarify that the shoes were returned to you, and no money has been taken or withheld from you unlawfully.
We understand that you may be disappointed with this outcome, however we hope you can appreciate that this decision has been carefully considered and made following a thorough review of the circumstances.

Very disappointing service with an…
Very disappointing service with an exchange
I arranged an exchange with Direct Tennis under order 15035324, and it has now been more than a week without the replacement item being dispatched or any meaningful update.
I emailed them but received no response. I then called customer service and was told that the exchange would be dispatched the following day. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and I still have no dispatch confirmation or tracking information.
I understand that exchanges can sometimes take a little time, but the main issue is the lack of communication, especially after I was given a specific assurance over the phone.
I am still waiting for my exchange and an update from Direct Tennis. This has been a very frustrating experience so far.

I will never again shop here not because of a bad experience but because I went online to buy something and then realised that the delivery fee is 7e. Fair no issues there. But then I saw that they are also charging 7e for collection service! Thats madness im sorry but your taking the piss out of consumers here like we are not idiots and know when we are being exploited.

I ordered a pair of tennis shoes
I ordered a pair of tennis shoes, Adidas ones and knew that Adidas running shoes were very narrow but wasn't sure about the tennis shoes. Anyway, I tried them out but they were really uncomfortable so I was able to arrange an exchange. Direct Sports advised me on way shoes would be best for me and I got a great pair of tennis shoes that I am very happy with. Great customer service. Would def use again.
