This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Do not order anything from this company. You will not get what you order and you will be charged 5 times the standard price for what you do order., plus when you place the order, you will not receive any refund for the items you don't receive. These people are scammers and need to be shut down and jailed. Not all the positive reviews say basically the same thing worded differently and note all the name's are very similar

Zero Customer Service

Having placed an order for an item of jewellery, I didn't receive any acknowledgement email. Next day I checked my junk folder, 2 emails from Directnine UK. I now realise they are not a UK company and seem to be based in Mumbai !! I have emailed them 3 times now, with no response.
Having investigated further, this company seems to be a supplier of electrical goods, not jewellery. We are now a week on from the order date, and this review seems to be the only possibility that I might get a response from them. I have 4 separate emails from different origins, stating my parcel is on the way, but asking for payments of tax/shipping. These are all spam! I have asked Directnine for details of shipping, and since then I have now asked for a refund, their policy states, if an order has not been processed then a refund should be straight forward. I have little to no confidence of receiving the item, or a refund. My only option at this point will be to notify my bank and open a claim back case against them.

An update, somebody answered the telephone! The latest is, I will receive my order within 7-14 days, dispatch will be within 3 days. Still no communication via email. I'll leave the 1 star for now. I have amended my review to 2 stars, my item has arrived, and I'm happy with the item, as for customer service, not good at all. No communication until I posted the negative review.

Product exactly as advertised!

A little concerned by non-traditional Office Address and means of direct contact with Customer Service… But concerns short-lived: package received exactly as advertised, and surpassed my expectations!

This company DirectNine UK isn’t based…

BEWARE despite what their web site leads you to believe this company DirectNine UK isn’t based in the UK and managed to do to me the same as they’ve done to others by duping me into thinking they were. They even annotated my on-line order stating it was UK shipping and have a shipping policy suggesting your items will be supplied and sourced from the UK but generally that isn’t the case. In mine and other reported cases they still managed to deliver the routers with the wrong type of mains plug. These were sourced and shipped from the US with 2 pin plugs and therefore not suitable. I’d already emailed them about my concerns but they ignored that. After a phone call to them I’ve sent them photos of the plugs but after weeks I hadn’t received a reply let alone a satisfactory resolution. After a 3 week delay I finally managed to chat with someone on-line who said I would be expected to return the items at my expense to an address in India or consider accepting a partial refund of 15% of the cost for the purchase of the correct plugs. I accepted this offer but the crux is that DirectNine UK trade on-line giving consumers the belief that they are UK based but aren’t. I have also made Trading Standards aware of this. I shall never buy anything from them again and urge others to consider not making purchases either unless they are clear where the goods are being shipped from. Avoid this company at all costs, cheaper isn’t necessarily trouble free.

Schroder part ordered

Ordered part and told delivery was 2-3 weeks and arrived in that time frame. Customer service sent a follow up message to confirm the delivery date.
Happy with service.......

A terrible experience indeed

I bought some light bulbs for my verilux happy light (light therapy box). It's from the US (120v) so I needed some replacement bulbs that's also 120v. I found this company and ordered the lights. Their website showed the bulbs were in stock and the website gave the impression that the company was in the UK with UK based stock of US goods.

They only accepted card payments, no options of paying with paypal or G pay etc. After placing my order, I waited two weeks before inquiring about what happened to the order. I got a response saying that the item will ship in a week. After the week, I contacted them again and this time they said the item was out of stock and that a substitute item is going to be shipped. I immediately objected, stating that the smaller substitute would not work in my light box. They then offered me a 25% discount on the substitute. I refused. (At this point, it had been over a month and this company has been messing around with me so I ordered the bulbs elsewhere). They then said they had the bulb in stock, asking whether they should ship it. I asked them to refund me because I ordered elsewhere. They agreed. Then, they asked whether I wanted the substitute or the original item I ordered, I again told them I want a refund. After a week, I called them to ask if the refund is processed, they said it takes 3-5 days. After another week, I asked them about the refund, they said it will take 3-5 days.

I honestly thought my money was gone forever, I'd been scammed. I searched online for answers. I learned that, if that was the case, I would have to contact my bank and ask them to start the chargeback process for the directnine order. From the order date, I have 45 days to start a chargeback which applies to debit cards only, while credit cards have another protection including the section 75 etc. I always buy with paypal for added protection where possible, but couldn't with this company. I was at their mercy!

It seemed like the online customer service is outsourced to non-western countries (offshore) and whatever is discussed with them, doesn't find its way to the actual company, so their oblivious. I contacted several times through the online website contact form, emails and phone calls. At one point, I would repeat the same message on the website, email and on the phone.

Nearing the 45 day limit for chargeback, for which I set a date on the calendar to contact the bank and initiate the chargeback, a breakthrough had occurred and the money was finally refunded. Mind you, during that time, I was also constantly emailing them.

The moral of the story is, don't deal with these lot. There are other options out there. They need to really get a grip and pull their act together. I essentially went through all that stress, put in all that effort, and wasted all that time just to get my money back and go back to square one. They were a few pounds cheaper than the other company to be sure, but it really isn't worth it. Their stock isn't even in the UK anyway.

DashCam order

I ordered a DashCam following a good online review of the product. Unfortunately the review doesn’t mention the poor customer service the company provides. The email/text received on placing the order gives contact details, phone and email, and encourages queries for further info. The trouble is no-one responds to emails or returns phone calls. I tried to cancel the order when I started to suspect the company was not as good as advertised but no-one returned any of my communications. Furthermore the advert implies the product is UK stock when it clearly is not. It was 10 days from placing the order before I got a notification that it had been despatched - in the USA - so the delivery time is considerable. All in all I cannot recommend this company - and would advise others to shop elsewhere. Thankfully, if the product doesn’t arrive I still have credit card protection.

I definitely would not use this company…

I definitely would not use this company again. Numerous emails stating my item is out for delivery and still not arrived. Requesting I have sent an email / left numerous phone messages requesting a call back as “agents are too busy to answer “ and even sent a message via their website which they stated “ would be answered in the next 3 hours and still Nothing heard from the company after all of the above. Very dissappointed is an understatement.

Dont Buy from this Company

Ordered an item from what I thought was a UK company which when it eventually arrived, I found was not suitable. When i tried to return the product within the 14 days as stipulated on their return policy (and in line with the UK distance selling regs) they sent me an address in America to return it to for which I had to pay the postage for. this is unacceptable. The cost of the postage was nearly equal to cost of the item in the first place so refund would be pointless. Got absolutely nowhere with them trying to get a UK return address and after numerous emails back and forth they informed me that as it hadn't bee returned on time it fell outside their returns policy - Don't use them!!
