My Z4 had been recalled for a starting motor, booked in for today, and when I arrived at BMW Bristol, I was advised the parts were on world wide back order! I had an hour drive in rush hour traffic and an hour home. A complete waste of my time! Did no one think to call or message me prior to this morning to advise the part had not arrived?? I expect more from BMW shame on you!

D Lovett in Swindon = rip off. Rushey Park - Found out they were charging my wife 250 percent more than an independent BMW garage that used exactly the same parts. Needed new break pads and brake discs. When challenged with garage they immediately offered a discount which we refused and went else where. Intend to report to ombudsman and regulatory bodies and challenge all my previous invoices. Completely dishonest.

Not a pleasant experience! Very disappointed and shan't be using this franchise ever again. Didn't phone me when we had an actual phone appointment arranged in advance and then claimed that something must be wrong with my phone. What was meant to be an exciting experience buying a new car in a cash deal turned out to be a complete let down. Salesman was borderline rude, it was like he didn't have time or didn't want to be there, the slightest thing appeared to be an issue for him, he had a permanent sulky expression, made no effort to smile or even appear pleasant and sighed and pulled a slight face every time that I said anything. The slightest thing seemed to be a major issue, he wasn't even vaguely friendly, continually interrupted and talked over the top of me, gave answers like 'why do you need to know that'. This was despite the appointment being at the time he wanted it, not the time that was convenient to me. Avoided all eye contact, called me by my first name without asking while I called him by his title. Kept leaving the desk during the transaction and grabbed the keys to the new vehicle every time. Did he imagine I was going to run off with the vehicle? At one point got up and left without saying why or what he was doing. At no point ever used the words 'please' or 'thank you' , not even once and not even when the cash transaction was authorised. I was (slightly) overcharged for the vehicle in that the price he wanted on the day was slightly more than the price received in writing from him. The price was also meant to include BMW mats which quote 'weren't available' really? The saving which he claimed would be achievable if accepting part finance rather than 100% cash has not been achieved after consulting with BMW Financial Services.
Salesman needs retraining or employed in job which doesn't involve dealing with the public or involves customer-facing.

On the positive side, the branch/showroom was very smart and clean, the Reception staff were polite and friendly and the overall manager of the branch made a point of introducing himself. Shall definitely be going elsewhere when the time comes to change my vehicle again.

I saw a mini on Autotrader, and contacted the Melksham garage. I spoke to Sam Dean, who was really helpful and not at all pushy. As we live 270 miles away, couldnt view it before buying, but Sam sent me a video and plenty of pictures of the car, and was happy answer any questions, and keep in touch with me. We travelled down a couple of weeks later, and I was immedialy impressed with showroom and staff, my car was presented with a bow, and was immaculate inside and out. Spent a couple of hours there, we wern't rushed at all and given refreshments. The whole experience was positive, and Sam Dean was lovely, not pushy at all, as some car salesmen are. I would definatley recommemd buying from them.

Harvey Baber was very helpful , knew the products and understood what we wanted.
Was efficient and engaged well with us regarding customer service.

Really enjoyed the process of buying the bike.
Quick to respond to my initial enquiry and really attentive while I was there.
The bike looked great on display but even better when collected.
Mathew was quick to answer any questions I had and supply any information when requested, and was extremely pleasant to deal with with.
All in all a very nice experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again and use for the servicing and MOT requirements

I recently purchased a used X1 from Lovett Melksham. A few days later I tried to contact the salesperson, who had been excellent, to report one of the keys was not working , even with a new battery. My telephone messages and emails went unanswered. It turned out the employee had left and they don't bother to check communications post-departure. After telephoning again and explaining the problem again I was told a BMW battery was probably all that was required. I was told to go and buy one(!). After being passed around departments I requested a new battery and one was promised (having spent tens of thousands - and too much time - on the car this seemed reasonable). Three weeks later - not a word. Beautiful showroom, dozens of salesmen, very, very poor service.
6 Nov 2025: After posting this review I got a call from a 'manager' asking what could they possibly do to put matters right? I thanked him for his promise of replacement batteries by post and a "nice keyring". Batteries did arrive, weeks later, but the key ring never showed. I thought I'd forget about it, and leave my review as an accurate description of Lovett's after-sales service. Now, despite so large an investment (in time and money) Lovett is asking for my details again??

Sarah Ody from Swindon branch contacted me to book my MOT and had some other outstanding work completed as a result of a recall notice. Anyway the work was completed to high standard and service provided was fantastic. Well done Sarah and the service department. 5 stars well done

We called in to see Charlotte reference the new BMW
1 series. She offered us tea and coffee and then arranged for us to have a test drive. She gathered all our details and was extremely professional with regards to our needs and restraints. While we were out on test drive she had a look at our px. Unfortunately after driving the car my wife thought that the car was a little harsh on the suspension so even though Charlotte and Jack her Sales Manager offered us a fantastic deal, we decided to rethink our options. We now think that the BMW X1 will suit us better and will arrange to come back in for a test drive on this. We were really impressed with the way Charlotte treated us and her fantastic sense of humour. We have assured her that if we purchase a BMW it will be from her.
She is a credit to your business.

My Mini roadster was taken in to BMW Melksham to analyse a noise relating to the spoiler,At the time a health check was carried out which included a video and written report recommending new brake pads and discs,and topping up the engine oil that was very low,
I instructed the work to be carried out and 6 weeks later the car broke down and the engine had totally seized.The car was recovered and examined by an independent garage in Devon who discovered that there was only half a litre of oil in the engine block,no evidence of any leaks and the engine was a total WRITE OFF and would cost £12500 to replace.
This was reported to Leon Vitti the principal owner at BMW Melksham who has denied any responsibility for the negligence, lack of care and catastrophic damage caused.

His Service Department or operative had FORGOTTEN TO REPLACE THE OIL and have written evidence of their incompetence and failure to accept responsibility.They also gave a false account of the event to the Principal owner,no doubt in an attempt to avoid dismissal or redundancy due to their gross negligence and have now been forced to seek recourse through the Motor Ombudsman,

Under no circumstance would I ever recommend this company who should be avoided at all cost

Brilliant service from start to finish

I recently bought a BMW X1 and had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Charlotte. From start to finish, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Excellent people to deal with with a special shout out to Jake Dolman who did his best to keep things on track (even responding to one of my emails at 11pm) despite the chaos caused by the people who hacked Land Rover systems during the course of my purchase. The dealership have done all possible to try to overcome these issues which were totally beyond their control. Well done guys - would definitely deal with this dealership again.Thank you
