The only issue I faced with Deserve is that sometimes my cashback rewards isn't automatically applied in time.
Other than that, it's been great.

Mobile App Neglected By Deserve

I've been having a decent experience with Deserve, paying my bills on time, however the app on the Google Play store hasn't been updated for almost a year. People worry about security and when banking apps are updated on a frequent bases it's to make sure customers see the company is in there best interest. Improve your mobile app, respect your user base that has issues with it, it has issues.

Stay Away!!!!

I googled "good credit cards for first time-card holders" and Deserve was highly touted. I am 18, making pretty good income for my age, and have zero credit. I was rejected and when I called in to figure out why the agent said "contact a credit analyst". NOT A GOOD CARD FOR FIRST TIMERS! Stay away. They must be great at getting their name out on Google, but not good at anything else.

I have been rejected 4 times already…

I have been rejected 4 times already despite having an excellent credit and reason being pointless in antibodies opinion. Am currently a student based on the reasons how do you expect me to fulfill them. Almost like asking for a 23 year old workers but with ten years experience

To whoever is looking for a card and…

To whoever is looking for a card and you select deserve credit card do not and I repeat do not apply for this car there are liars you're going to waste your inquiry on your credit report and bring your score down I have a score of 661 and they declined my application so don't waste your time this is what they're stating Serious delinquency and public record or collection filed
● Number of accounts delinquent
● Length of time accounts have been established
● Proportion of current loan balance to original loan amount

It is extremely rare for me to say…

It is extremely rare for me to say something positive about a bank. Deserve Pro Mastercard has a no frills, but adequate website and their credit lines are chinsy (they gave me $2k), but their app is good, they are straightforward getting cash back (no hoops with points, they just auto post it to your account every month), and they give a generous 3% on travel and entertainment and 2% on restaurants. (No rolling categories to keep track of). I use this card as my go to card for those categories. NO foreign (international) ATM fees. The low credit line is fine because they only give the 3% and 2% cash back up to $500 in charges per month, and above the $500 they give 1%. That's the only negative for me, hence the four stars and not five. They have good info info the site for people building credit and paying off your balance every month, which you won't find on Wells Fargo's site!! Their rules applying for the Pro card were inconsistent, in fact one place on the site said the Pro card was by invitation only, but they let me open it without one. I like this card.

It’s really inefficient and unreliable

It’s really inefficient and unreliable. I should get my card in the beginning of September and this is what the company asks me to expect for. But I didn’t get one until the day they mentioned and I called them for the reasons. They replied there was a shipment problem and they would send out a new one that day so I was expected to get it by Sep. 28. However, they sent me an email on Sep. 24 saying there was another shortage producing the card, so all the process would be delayed. I wrote back in anger that they didn’t obey their commitment and they replied the next day that I need to wait for another 7-10 business days for my card, which would be mid-October. They don’t inform every problem until you contact with them. It’s really in worse service and I recommend applying a BoA credit card instead. :)

The phone calls are not working at all. Sometimes no one answered but it was during business hour! Sometimes they didn’t even ring!

Horrible customer service. Don't get

Horrible customer service. They don't reply for weeks and there is no way to contact the required team. The customer support representatives have little to no information to handle request related to disputes. No effort is taken to verify the information. Highly disappointed with the service. Unsecure.

Update: The team from Deserve replied on Trust Pilot in 1 hour but they haven't contact me in 20 days as they mentioned in their reply. When I try reaching out to them they say please email for which I never get a reply. I have been following on my dispute for 3 months now and have not received any reply from Deserve. This is not the way to handle your loyal customers. Totally disappointed.

Pretty decent

App interface could be better, but overall the service quality and reliability has not given me any significant problems. Would reccomend to people who are just starting off with credit cards!

Amazing Credit Card & Protected from Scams

I've been using this credit card since 2019 and I love it soo much to the point that it protects me from scams. I love the app and everything is clear. The only issue with this credit is that it is hard to insrease your limit since it is based on your history with them other than that I am happy with the service and products

No card, it's almost two billing cycles now!

I had an absolutely horrible experience from Deserve. I was approved for the Deserve EDU Mastercard on June 23rd and after more than a month, they still haven't sent me the card (August 12th now), despite multiple calls to their customer support. I'll get the second billing statement next week, and still no card!
It's just been a total headache dealing with their customer support, who just keeps endlessly pushing back the timeframes for me to receive the card- they made me wait one full month before re-issuing the card, and kept on asking me to wait for a couple more days every time I call them after the standard 5-10 business days time frame. And I've verified my address multiple times, so it seems something is terribly wrong with their shipping, since I've been getting other USPS mails just fine. Just know that if at all something goes wrong, their customer service might just keep giving you false promises without trying to sort out the issue properly.
I finally got tired of contacting their customer support, filed a complaint with the CFPB (unsurprisingly, Deserve Inc was not even registered with the CFPB), and got a credit card from Discover- and I finally have some peace of mind.

Great card. App could be better.

Great card. App could be better. I wish I could see a more complete breakdown of the money that was owed and due on the account. They purposely make it slightly more difficult to view a breakdown of your balance, but other than that, great card. They even increased my credit limit after a couple months!

Excellent First Credit Card Experience

I've really enjoyed using this card and the app; the notifications are helpful and payments couldn't be easier. The app is extremely intuitive and secure, and I got a replacement card in the mail really quickly when I lost my first one. Also, I love keeping track of my score in the app. I would recommend this card to anyone, especially new credit card users like myself.
