Do not use this shop!!!!

Dress was very cheap, material awful. Tried to return it but they have a ridiculous system where you need to obtain a returns authorisation number - tried to do this via the normal route but it didn’t work, then I spent hours on chat to someone who I ended up emailing over the course of a few weeks before they stopped replying to me altogether despite me sending more messages. I also tried emailing their international email address - nothing. The dress cost £180 and I just want my money back. The kicker is every time you go to chat with their customer service robot it talks about how great their customer service is - what a joke!!!!

The return period is way too short and…

The return period is way too short and never clear enough. A week to decide a special occasion dress is a yay or a nay is too quick. Some people need to contact family members to help make important decisions... ESPECIALLY FOR ONLINE ORDERS. Stores have old technology (slow and problematic) and poor-quality stock.

My wife daughter and neighbors daughter…

My wife daughter and neighbors daughter just left the Danbury store. Out intention was to do 1 stop shopping and buy 2 dresses and be done. The woman at the dressing room was so uncooperative and rude. We’ve spent $600 in dresses in past years with great service.
My wife is super considerate and understanding and decided to leave. Good luck to you all.

Horrible Customer Service

The only David’s Bridal I would recommend is the one in Springhill, VA as they went over and above to help me with forgetting my dress for my son’s wedding. They found the same exact dress and size and held it for me. On the other hand, the place where I bought my original dress refused to even give me store credit 10 days after purchase even though I had both dresses and the original in the bag with the tags and both receipts to prove it was the same dress. The corporate number directs you to text rather than talk to someone. They promised to help me within 72 hours and I never heard back. So be very sure you like what you buy and whatever you do don’t forget your dress for an out of town wedding because they will do absolutely NOTHING for you.

Shopping for Mother of the Groom…

Shopping for Mother of the Groom dresses. The sales consultant did not know a thing about the products available, nor have any suggestions about dresses. She did not understand the sizing of the garments. She thought a discount was applied to a pantsuit because the pants were missing. In actuality, the entire garment was on sale, and the pants were actually missing. Ended up ordering the pantsuit through the store to get both pieces. It took a manager to clear up the mis-information and get the pantsuit ordered. As I was paying for the pantsuit that was ordered, the sales associate wanted to "help me" place a 5 star review for her. Nice person, but totally incompetent or untrained.

Ten days later, I tried contacting customer service for an update on the status of the pantsuit we ordered in the store. Called the 844 number, and after many AI prompts, was told to text my problem to the text line, and then hung up on (I tried this multiple times throughout the next 48 hours that it took to get a text response, and had the same outcome). I texted mid-morning, got no response until 10:00 that evening (after I had gone to bed). One hour later, my case was closed because I had not responded. I texted again the next morning; got no response until 7:45 pm. Currently the garment is expected to arrive in the store in another week, and no, I cannot cancel it at this point in time. I have to wait for it to show up at the store, then return it. In the meantime, my credit card has been charged for the pantsuit. We will see when it actually shows up.
Customer service is NOT a priority.

I’d give a no star if I could

I’d give a no star if I could. Only person in this experience that made it enjoyable was the stylist at my David’s bridal in Fort Worth. Absolute garbage from here on out. A lady that had no interaction with me whatsoever came up to me right after I was crying about “saying yes to the dress” to give me her business card for alterations. Interrupted my moment and memories for years to come with a sales tactic. I understand if you want the business but that was not personal at all. I go home and once I get money for the dress I buy it online. Huge mistake don’t ever buy online. March 28 they take the money out and it’s processing (money out of my account) dress supposed to be here April 5. April 9 I message because you can’t talk to customer service over the phone. . A person gets back to me through text HOURS later at 9pm and then again at 11pm when I messaged and was trying to solve this around 2pm. Eventually they ignore my messages so I message and restart process on fiancés phone. Now they respond. New delivery now it’s April 19. I had to move so many appointments for alterations. The day I tried contacting them they refunded the money I didn’t realize because I got paid that day. I budgeted as if the dress had already been paid. It’s April 16 and now I’m negative in my account. No warning on redoing or restarting transaction at all. Did not speak to anyone at all and can’t get into contact. I hate this place horrible experience. I need a refund or partial refund I will NEVER recommend this place ever

Placed an order for an "in stock" gown…

Placed an order for an "in stock" gown as a replacement gown for prom. Paid $40 additional for overnight delivery understanding it would be 2 day delivery for orders placed post 12 PM. The dress is delayed - cutting into our alteration timeline. It's in stock - I paid EXTRA for expedited delivery. Their TEXT line for customer service doesn't work. (Ain't Artificial Intelligence GRAND) - Their chat method doesn't work - because TWO representatives closed the call without doing ANYTHING to identify the nature of my inquiry. This is classic case of a good business with beautiful dresses - with TERRIBLE customer service and now we are in a major issue.

I would like to give a big Thank You to…

I would like to give a big Thank You to the Manager Jan at the Aurora Co. Store. Jan went over and beyond with her professionalism, caring,willingness to make a bride happy. I live in Louisiana and had the worst experience with David's Bridal in Lafayette. My cousin contacted the Aurora DB and explained everything that was going to me. I reached out to Jan and my experience changed 100%. I canceled my order from Lafayette not knowing if I was going to get my Jumpsuit in time for the Wedding. Jan had the Jumpsuit in her store in my size. I am so happy to do business with the Aurora DB. Thank you Jan you were outstanding.

Mother of the Bride dress shopping Bridal in Westwood…

I went to David's Bridal in Westwood Ma. today looking for a Mother of Brides dress. Gabby was my sales associate. She was more than helpful. She pulled dresses that I never thought would work for me. She found 3 that were awesome! I couldn't make up my mind. She found a dress in the color I wanted and it was discounted to boot! She was very polite and listened to all my needs. I couldn't thank her enough. All and all it was an excellent experience. Teresa Dirksmeier

This company single-handedly ruined my…

This company single-handedly ruined my wedding not only did I not get my wedding dress. I was strong along for days by the associates promising it would be delivered and it never was. They never even had it in the facility. This company went bankrupt for a reason they need to be completely shut down for the emotional damages that they’re doing to their customers. This company needs to be shut down, as well as legal action needs to be taken against them for all the emotional damages that they are costing their customers. Disgusting unprofessional company. There is no customer service. There’s a text message switchboard for reps across seas are overseas somewhere who don’t get online until after 3 o’clock. The phone systems do not work. No one returns your calls. You can’t walk in the store. If you place an online order you can’t call customer service if you place the order in the store. This company needs to be shut down and sue for liability.

POOR REFUND SYSTEM

Poor refund system. I purchased two dresses from David’s. I returned them within the short 7 day window. It took two weeks to get a reply that they would refund my money and now it will take them TWO BILLING CYCLES TO REFUND MY MONEY. I had tried a dress from Revolve also. That refund was completed immediately upon it being received. There was a $12 shipping charge to return each dress.

12/30 Still have not received refund. They acknowledged I would get a refund, but it is yet to be seen.

1/6 Another week and no refund. This has been a moth of them keeping my money after the dresses have been returned. Shame on them!

I wish I could have picked zero stars…

I wish I could have picked zero stars but that wasn't an option. My future bride and I got treated with zero stars by the staff on DECEMBER 2 2023. We were ghosts. I had to deal with her disappointment for the remainder of my birthday. Personally I think that your company should encourage customer service. I could be wrong but it's my understanding that your sales team works on commission. Whether they do or not is irrelevant. We couldn't the time of day.The employees were happy to us goodbye and have a nice day as we were exiting the building. This will not mean much to you (David's Bridal) as I am sure you get a lot of business.....but you lost ours. How do you train your employees exactly? Forgive me for being rude but I treat people the way I am treated.

They are refusing to process returns…

They are refusing to process returns for goods that were purchased during their "bankruptcy" which feels unethical/an attempt to keep your money without having any formal consequences.

Their marketing tactics seem predatory and opportunistic. If you attempt to reach out to customer service, they are unhelpful and difficult to communicate with. The whole company is just dismissive.

I would honestly just purchase from somewhere else with more accountability and more reputable return policies, especially when bridesmaid dresses need to be very specific and processing returns should be a large part of their business.

They did not attempt to offer any solutions despite my asking to do so.

I paid for Rush Shipping ($40) and they didn't deliver

I paid for Rush Shipping ($40), on the site where you check out it reads "If ordered before 12:00PM EST, receive your order next business day. If ordered after 12:00PM EST, receive order in two business days". It's been 4 business days, I don't have my dress and I never would have ordered if the site didn't state 2 business days. Customer Service has been awful and keeps telling me that if I look at the FAQs the rush shipping is 4 business days. Total bait and switch, false advertising to get you to pay more for shipping and then David's Bridal doesn't deliver. Have tried texting their chat line over and over with no resolution. Have called twice and keep getting referred back to the FAQs. Not a five star experience like they claim to provide. Will never buy from this place again.

Absolute joke

I ordered a pair of shoes, and the quality was so poor I thought I would get hurt if I wore them for my daughter's wedding. When I returned them, I got a refund that was half of what I paid. I expected to pay the return shipping, but I was hit with a restocking fee that was not mentioned anywhere. So, I received a refund of $12.96. The joke was on me because they got the merchandise back and can resell the shoes that I think cost about $12 to manufacture. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you want to throw away money.

Extremely Poor CS. I still can’t believe it

I still can’t believe it! On 8/30/2023 around 1:00pm we visited David’s Bridal. From the time we entered the Wilmington, NC store until we left we were never greeted. acknowledged or assisted. I helped my granddaughter pick out and try on 6-7 dresses. Zero help from anyone! We were the only customers in the store at the time. The young lady stayed sitting at the front desk. As we were leaving we stopped to look at dress displayed right behind the desk and still no engagement from store employee. We left and went to a bridal boutique near by and had an amazingly positive, happy experience and purchased a dress (as it should be).
Not sure how Davis’s Bridal is staying in business with this lack of customer service!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

Good morning

I would like to bring to your attention the fact that i picked my wedding dress from David’s Bridal at Watford on 21st January.

I had pre-booked my wedding alterations for 19th July after picking up my dress in March sometime.

The fact that the store was closing down was not mentioned to me at all between March and my alterations fitting in July is seriously astonishing! I had called and called and at the time, on 19th July 2023, google had shown that the store was OPEN so I made my way to Watford which was over an hour away and had booked the day off work knowing this was a big day and made my two friends come along with me for support.

When I had gotten to David’s Bridal, I was shocked to say the least that the store had a sign indicating that the store was in fact permanently closed! No one called me or emailed me to inform me of this so it would have saved me time, money and effort whilst I could have found someone else to alter my dress for my wedding in September!

The note on the wall stated that I must contact Stratford store - which I did and they had asked me to attend which was over an hour from Watford (I live near Stratford) so I had to go all the way back.

Upon speaking with someone at the stratford store in London, they had asked me to attend however did not mention that the alterations section was not taking any further bookings and they were also closing down!! I was in shock and traumatised to say the least.

I had a dress and a veil from David’s Bridal and yet no one to alter my dress!
I spent £400 on my dress and £400 on my veil and now I have very little time to find someone who can alter it as I have lost weight and May now need a new dress!

I would like to express my feelings as this has really left me appalled and disappointed in David’s Bridal.

I would like this complaint to be acknowledged and the least that could be offered is a full refund on my dress and veil so I can then purchase a dress suitable for me which is already in a suitable size for me.

Great service

Accidentally found myself in the David's Bridal shop in Birmingham, Vaishali and Karen were so helpful and friendly. I hadn't planned on getting my dress that day and was short on time but they were so accommodating. Such a positive experience and I absolutely love my dress.
