This is actually a 5 start review, like *perfect* service. Like 2-3 minute response time over text to the guy from the guy that runs the place. Personally kept me up to date on a shipping delay on UPS’s side, looked at my picture of the last couple things I had to do before first post.

Literally the best IT experience I’ve had

This was a big impulse buy for me, wasn’t in the market or anything. And I have no regrets, my system is amazing. Well put together and no issues. I’ll admit I was a little concerned about having PC shipped. When I received it was so well packaged very efficiently with no damage. Also customer support is top tier. Thank Customer Lux team

Recently I broke the glass on my desktop case and Patrick immediately coordinate a replacement and it was a smooth process and this was all done “at cost”.

Custom Lux PCs is solid. I provided a specification for what I needed. They came back with "we can do that" and offered some ranges as they knew what was best for my use case. Googling around, they were right. I went with their proposed tweaks to the design. 2 weeks later -- a beautiful machine that "just worked", no hassle. The team is responsive and straightforward.

I don't leave reviews often, but Pat at Custom Lux earned one I couldn't skip.

I came in having done serious homework — compared multiple custom builders, got competing quotes, knew exactly what I wanted. Pat didn't flinch. He matched the spec, upgraded the case, absorbed the CPU swap, and came in at a price that was barely above what the components cost me to verify at retail. Transparent, no games.

Then the machine arrived with a hardware fault on the motherboard. Here's where most builders would have repaired and reshipped. Pat didn't just fix it — he upgraded the board entirely to a Gigabyte B850 AI TOP (a better board than what was originally speced), added a second Gen 5 NVMe drive I had been considering, and sent it back. No charge. No argument. Just "here's something better."

When it arrived the second time, Pat stayed on remote support through my entire setup day. BIOS configuration, RAM retraining behavior on a 256GB DDR5 install, X3D Gaming Mode quirks, display issues — he walked through all of it with me in real time until the machine was stable and benchmarked. Cinebench R23 multi-core came in at 40,698. Top of the leaderboard.

This is what buying from a real builder looks like. Pat knows the hardware at a level that most shops don't, communicates like a person, and stands behind his work when something goes wrong. If you're serious about what you're building, Custom Lux is the call.

I got the budget baller pc it’s absolutely stunning. The communication from the owner is immaculate and the pc runs flawlessly. It’s my First pc I bought that was somewhat expensive and I don’t regret it one bit. Definitely recommend for new or experienced pc users.

What a wonderful experience it's been! Very knowledgeable about all aspects of computers and was able to assist me with several issues that I created myself. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend going through this company for any of your custom computer needs.

I had a great experience. The whole process was fast and smooth from start to finish. They helped me with everything, from choosing the right components to making sure everything was set up perfectly. Their customer service is amazing—very responsive, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and made the entire experience stress-free. The final build turned out exactly how I wanted, clean and professional. I used for a month already and it works great!

Before delivery, they asked what OS to install and added Debian for me, including Nvidia drivers which saved me time. The only issue was the WIFI 7 onboard card which doesn't have a good driver for Debian, so I ended up getting as advised a NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter (A8000) - AXE3000 Tri-Band Wireless Gigabit Speed (Up to 3Gbps). The external Wifi works great.

Having tried some LLM serving workloads on this machine, I got around 5% better tok/s than the equivalent Vast.ai machine. (For example Qwen 3.5 27b dense model can be served with 60-80 tok/s with the correct config, and maybe even faster once they fix VLLM bugs).

I had specific needs for a computer that would dual boot on different drives, have capability for a local LLM with both 64 GB RAM and some VRAM. In the past I would buy a common brand and make modifications but now I decided to minimize the DIY and have a unit that would meet my needs from the beginning and not worry about potential incompatibilities. After looking and talking around I came up with Custom Lux PCs and was able to talk/text with Pat. He was accommodating in what I wanted with the my financial constraints and made the appropriate additions and changes. It was assembled, the software was installed and tested and then it was sent to me in a timely fashion. On receiving the well packed box, I unpacked it, did the preps and plugged it in and turned it on. It came right up and I started using it. No problems and I am certainly happy with the whole process. When the need to upgrade comes it will definitely be with Pat at Custom Lux PCs.
