I wanted to leave a review to recognise the incredible customer service I received from Nahum this week. He truly went above and beyond to help me with my daughter’s 3rd birthday order.

Nahum called me on Wednesday to confirm my order, and when I explained how important it was for everything to arrive before Friday for her birthday, he immediately took ownership of the situation. One of the items had gone out of stock, but instead of just leaving it at that, he personally contacted suppliers, sourced alternatives, tracked the delivery throughout, and kept me updated every step of the way.

Thanks to Nahum’s dedication and care, all of my daughter’s presents arrived in time for her birthday and she was absolutely over the moon. What made the experience even more special was that he took the time to call and wish her a happy birthday himself, which was such a thoughtful touch.

I honestly have never experienced customer service like this before. Nahum is an absolute credit to the company and made what could have been a stressful situation into such a positive and memorable experience. I only wish every customer service experience was this caring, personal, and dedicated.

Thank you again, Nahum — you really made my daughter’s birthday extra special.

Delivery date was not stuck to, was two further weeks over due. when it said 7-10 days. took around 22/24 days.

All came in 3 separate delivies, had to call multiple times, never recieved call backs as they knew they have made countless mistakes.

Will not order from these again.

This is the second order I have made with Costcutter and both experiences have been 100%. Fast delivery and you are kept up to date with any change of delivery dates.
Would definitely recommend!

Ordered what I wanted quickly and knew what I required so no problem.
I hope that the delivery will be quick, as I need the items asap.

I have tried twice to order the same item. First time I was told after ordering online that it was not available, and was offered an alternative, which was unsuitable. The second time I phoned ahead and was told it was in stock and would be delivered in around 5-10 days. So I ordered it online. Thank you emails followed and then another email telling me it was not now available. I was offered the same alternative. “Apparently” in between me enquiring and ordering, someone ordered all the stock……
A case here of left hand right hand methinks. Not a great experience at all. Goodbye Costcutters.

Great customer service and great products

Easy to order with plenty of choices of payment type.

The personal touch is not something that I expect in this day and age. The fact that Rachel contacted me that day to thank me for the order. When I contacted her to try to amend the order due to my mistake it was not "well the order stands its too late now" it was "lets see how we can help with this" and she did! It wasn't a big order in the scheme of things but there will be others and if I can use Cost Cutter I will.

Great customer service. Great furniture. Only reason not a score of 5 is that it wasn't delivered on the day we agreed but this was immediately resolved and the furniture was delivered on the next agreed date.

Staff were always on hand to help. One parcel went AWOL but they chased up a replacement and never dallied. The equipment which was for SEN children was assembled straightforwardly with no difficulty and is sturdy.

Absolutely fantastic service. Great prices and such quality furniture. I bought early years furniture for my preschool and it looks amazing!!! Great customer service and nothing too much trouble.

Great product but trying to return an item is proving the hardest thing on earth. Customer service is so slow. I wont be using them again.

Really pleased with the pedestal received. Fits perfectly under my desk. Super quick delivery and very good communications with the seller. My only concern was the carriage costs but the low price for the item compensated this anyway so still a reasonable price

UPDATE

I have been asked by Costcutters to change my original review below, on the basis that the ad I found for the company when I googled (which stated free delivery) had been placed by a third party and was inaccurate.

However, given that there was no information on Costcutters' actual website about delivery charges, and that I only found out at checkout that the delivery charge for two A4 display books was £12 (which luckily I noticed in time), I think that my original review still stands.

I have now found another excellent UK company where I bought eight similar items plus two other items, with delivery, for less than I would have paid for two items with delivery at Costcutters.

I have just reviewed the other company, should anybody wish to check it out.

FURTHER UPDATE

I see that Cost Cutters have now responded to my post.

I have indeed been in correspondence with them. Unless they have now changed it, delivery prices are not shown in the delivery information on their website.

When I pointed out to them that this was not transparent, as they claimed, they did not reply.

Trust Pilot have emailed me to confirm that despite Cost Cutters' complaint to them (mentioned at the end of their response below), everything I have said on here conforms to their guidelines.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

I wanted to buy two presentation display books. These were just over £3 each.

I couldn't find any information on the website about delivery charges, but when I had googled it said free delivery. I have a screenshot of this.

When I went to check out, I found I was being charged £12 for delivery 😮

Needless to say, I will be buying these items elsewhere.

Our reading tree is a great addition to our EYFS area! It has inspired us to recreate and redecorate the room into the Jungle! We now have leaves covering the walls and monkeys hanging from our new reading tree!
