I had a Court case that I won .The Claimant made a Counterclaim and failed to back it up with Evedence to the Courts.
I won the as the Defendant never turned up in Court
He never paid any money and tried to close the Company down with Dissolution
Later he removed his name from being a Director
The Director sent me a demand for £2080 in a Counterclaim from a false address of another one of his Companies demanding a pay the money into its Bank Account
Again the Director failed to produce any evidence to the Court
Companies House have done nothing about this Director though I sent Court evidence to them
Companies House have a legal duty under the Companies Act 2006
(The Act) Companies House knowingly or recklessly delivering or making a statement to the Registar of Companies that is misleading, false or deceptive is a Criminal Offence under 1112 of the Act can lead to imprisonment a fine or removed from being a Director for a number of years
I was told by Companies House to report it to the Insolvency Services at Birmingham.
Which I did sending a letter along with Court Papers to prove ,That The Director produced a fraudulent Counterclaim and also committed Fraud
They never answered or replied to my letter asking them to investigate the Director and his 3 Companies
Failure to attend Court or give everyone or produce documents can be published with a fine or a prison sentence

The Defendant did not produce any evidence to support his Counterclaim or his Fraudulent letter demanding I pay money into another one of his Companies.
I sent another letter to demand that they reply to my Official Complaint and they follow the Government Rules and Laws set to provide Consumers with Human Rights and Laws
It seems they accept anything that Directors send in .and they state they can not be responsible.
If Legal Court and evedence is provided to them legally by Consumers they must accept it as Evedence and must use it against any Director that breaks the Law

I do not even want to give them 1 star. Such a stupid company. I've paid them last year for a 1-year subscription, I did not get any letters from them.

I was not running the company and Later, after a year I had to close down the companies. I asked for my letters from Company House so that I can have an access code to log in to Company House HMRC to close my companies but I am struggling to get them. They took the money and asking for ID, bills to verify the identity from all the partners of your Company. My partners have denied providing their passports. Not sure why CapitalHouse took the money in the first place. Why don't they do credit checks rather than IDs.

Utter load of rubbish of an organisation. Check your post urgent they have been filing late fee CCJ's without any notice during lock down against Government advice. I filed my accounts late due to Covid restrictions of not being able to get to my office and my accountant busy with furlough claims. It was by chance a fellow company in the shared building informed me of this as I would have never have know as I have been in isolation at home due to Covid and illness. Don't worry about how rude they are just remember they are just mere employees who have not the intelligence or guts to run their own business. Unlike us business owners they will will never know the true value of business.

This is a government based site and I wrote better stuff on my ZX Spectrum. Enough said

Fully agree with the responses below. I hate having to call Companies House for advice. The staff are always belittling, condescending and talk in a manner of superiority. Very unpleasant and unhelpful - expect you to know their job inside out instead of helping business owners and users.

Despite being informed that a previous tenant had left the premises in July 2016, companies house have allowed him to set up what will undoubtably be a fraudulent company at my properties address. Do they not have access to the electorial roll? What proof of ID do they look at? This has probably been set up to use the company grant from the tax

It is always a very frustrating and unpleasant experience.

They would do good to re-train their staff on the phones to be more patient and understanding with us all.

I worked at the Cardiff offices. The worst place I have ever worked. Had to raise an number of issue with HR because of the way a number of senior people were treating me and a number of colleagues. HR did nothing about it as the people in question had been there 20 plus years, even though people's behaviour was threatening and bullying. Other colleagues confirm there is a culture of bullying that is accepted. Disgusting organisation

Giving 1 star because I can't give minus stars. My neighbour lives at 111a,. He registered his business ALHAJTOURS using my address (111) as his business address at Companies House. He won't un-register it. I asked CH to add the 'a' but they insisted that I fill in 2 , 5-page forms full of obfuscating crap to remove his company from my address, and return them: which I did, by email, multiple times, but they say they haven't got them. To register a business no proof of address is needed. @1 Criminals can register a company at any address they chose as no proof of address is needed.
@2 My neighbour has financial problems. People come yelling at him because he owes them money. I am scared Bailiffs will come to my house and demand my stuff to pay his debts on the grounds that CH has told them that my address is ALHAJTOURS's registered address.

Absolutely shameful. They can do whatever they want and are not held to account for their mistakes which they seem to make a lot of. Mistake after mistake. Outrageous.

I have just noticed that Companies house has been scanning Accounts incorrectly. the are mixing up the number of companies Accounts and uploading them on the system . They fine companies for the non deliver of the Accounts , but in fact they scan and mix up the Accounts with some other company Accounts and charge Penalty for non receiving of the Accounts in their office. They are also in breach of the Data protection Act in making such mistakes. The mistake starts from the postal room and then no one in their office check the mistake made by the Postal Room. The officer in charge should be accountable to these mistakes made by their department and should be suspended from the job until full independent investigation is completed and refund all the Penalties charged from the date the Penalties were introduced by the Companies House.
I have been checking their system since it came in my eyes that they are mixing up the Accounts and then charge Penalties by saying they did not received the Accounts and in fact they did receive the Accounts but scan them with another company Accounts and up loaded incorrectly.
In my view this is a serious breach of the Data Protection Act and serious Negligence on the part of the Companies House and the Registrar of Companies House.
I demand their suspension until full investigation has taken place within their department. It is also the responsibility of the Secretary of State for business to immediate intervene and repay all the companies who have been charged Penalties unfairly and incorrectly by the Companies House.

Aside from the Contact Centre where staff are generally low quality, deceitful, dishonest, and want customers off the phone as quickly as possible, other departments have the view "we just file whatever we're given", unless you upset them then they will hooud you to the end of the earth! Typical public sector rubbish!

Running your own business is terribly hard, even if you're honest and have a good accountant -- and Companies House make it harder. Their correspondence carries the default wording that implies the low-level threat of coming into your business premises (I don't have any guys) and seizing your assets (similar story here, boys) - it hangs between every line. It's like their assumption is eveyrbody is a crook until proven innocent - except the really big companies who don't pay anything, who I'm sure they are either much more polite to or leave alone altogether. Between CH and HMRC, I decided to end my business - I just dreaded the letterbox rattling with another of their automated threats. Thanks guys -- another successful business gone. So much for the government supporting enterprise, eh?

Absolutely fraudulent activity at companies house they refused to strike off my company because I didn’t put ltd after the business name on the strike off form, previously they refused to strike it off because of a date !!!! Absolutely disgusting fraudulent activity and everytime you send another form in it costs you 13.00 in a postal order shame on you!!!!

Used to be high quality and customer focused. Now poorly staffed, awful systems, officious, over zealous and just plain rubbish. Tried to pay a late payment penalty and took almost eight calls and emails to ensure it had got through so that collections would not be involved. Those concerned on the calls were not apologetic or helpful. Complaint was fobbed off with a lot of guff.

Poor systems, slack practises and nonchalant approach.

I have had the misfortune to move into a property whereby the previous owner has registered several businesses which have evaded tax and other statutory responsibilities. As such, I am being deluged by debt recovery and related companies, subcontracted by Companies House and HMRC.

Despite the completion of requisite forms, writing of emails and several phone calls all at my own time and expense, it keeps coming.

They have not updated records or taken on board new information that I have given them and continue to pursue a person at an address that they categorically do not live at.

In case you’re wondering why so much tax is evaded and other business regulations flaunted - this is clearly why.
