Avoid CMC Modelcars.
Their exorbitantly priced models have design flaws and, after about ten years, develop zinc pest, which destroys your models. Even 1/18 scale trucks are affected by this scourge due to corrupted, poor-quality zinc. Your model slowly dies and can contaminate your collection. Search for confirmation online, including using AI. We prefer to raise the alarm because we were victims, and CMC Modelcars refuses to admit it. While the legal warranty in Europe is two years, this two-year limit is extended if it's a hidden defect.

Communication TRES difficile. Ne répond pas toujours au message, et toujours des réponses minimalistes. J'ai commandé plusieurs miniatures chez eux et les ai reçus sans problème et bien emballé. Par contre j'en ai renvoyé une, et là aussi c'est pas simple, on sent que ça ne leur fait pas plaisir. En plus il est marqué dans leur "droit de rétractation" qu'il rembourse les frais de retour au tarif le plus bas, malgré ça ils ne m’ont remboursé que le prix de la miniature. J'ai envoyé un mail pour connaitre leur intention de respecter ou pas leur propre règle de retour. Au moment où j'écris ces mots ...... aucune réponse. Je suis plutôt déçu.

Suite a cet avis juste et honnête, ils ont bloqué mon compte. Voila leur idée de la communication. CQFD.

Came across this seller via eBay and decided to order a CMC model off his website. Didn’t have a single problem with the ordering process or delivery. I live in the UK and delivery and import process was quick and flawless. The owner is a pleasant person to deal with. The only thing I’d say is when I placed the order on the website, the order status got updated but I didn’t receive any email to notify me of this. Also he went quiet for about a day or so after I emailed him, it would be more reassuring if he replied to an email asap. These are small issues and as I say overall I had no trouble at all and very happy with my purchase of a very rare CMC model 🥳

After preordering two CMC models and a long wait, one model was increased in price and my invoice was adjusted without hesitation, the other model was cancelled. Customer service was contacted about this but the response and action was very rude and unprofessional with cancellation of the other model as a result. CMC should counteract this kind of practice, especially if the name of the shop in question carries the brand with it. Avoid this shop!

Ordered a CMC model. As it was not coming, I asked them its whereabouts. I was told the price had increased and my order was unilaterally cancelled. I will Never order again.

I have been purchasing model cars for many years. This is the first negative review I have had to give to a model car shop in all this time. I feel it is important to warn other collectors of my very negative experience with this one store in particular.
I placed an order on their site for a model valued at over €600. When I received the confirmation email I noticed the address came up wrong, so I immediately checked their site and see my address was correct there. I was worried about this so emailed this company immediately, I did not expect a response as it was early in the morning and I knew they would not be open.
I did expect one on the Friday however. I was unaware this was public holiday in Germany at this time. Of course had I known I would not have expected a reply.
The only response I got was today after I sent a polite but worried email explaining I was worried about the wrong address appearing in the email and their lack ot a response.
Later in the evening I got a very curt and rude, unsigned, response informing me that it was a holiday in Germany and what was the point of my "threatening" them. It is honestly the rudest response I have gotten from a company till now.
I replied that I was a worried customer esp as I failed to find a contact us link on their site or any actual contact details. I emailed them before via the email they sent me and tried to call the phone number listed on it to also get no response.
Again, had I known it was a national Holiday in Germany I would have understood and not worried.
I also explained that there was no need for the rude response and I didn't make a threat, instead I was a worried customer.
I got another very rude response, unsigned, to this informing me they refunded my money, I have yet to see proof of this, and they have nothing to apologise for.
All in all a very negative experience with a company I worry about shopping with in future.
It was a risk as I meant to order from a different CMC store but these came up instead, the names are very similar. This other store has obvious contact details etc. I advise looking for them and avoiding these shady characters.
If the company responds to this claiming different then I will post a link to screengrabs of all of their emails to me and my responses.
