Short but stressful stay
On arrival at the property I was told to call & would be buzzed in the building/apartment. When I spoke to the guy on the phone he said that I had to upload ID, passport, drivers license etc to an email he was going to send for verification (I did not have ID with me) luckily one of our party did, WiFi/internet reception outside the building was poor so made the whole process very stressful. This surely could have been dealt with prior to arrival. After a very long drive we just wanted to get in and relax not go through all that unexpectedly. Location & apartment where perfect, very clean, with everything needed for our stay. - however on our one full day, one of our party went back for a nap in the afternoon & woke up with someone in the apartment checking the fire alarm without any advance warning or notification. We all agreed this was unacceptable as this has really shook up the guest involved- it was reported to the office. Once again this could have been performed prior to our arrival or after our departure. Check out very easy.

The ID verification process should be completed before arrival, and I apologise that this wasn’t communicated clearly in advance. Having to upload documents outside the building, especially with poor signal, is not the experience we want for guests after a long journey. We’re reviewing our pre‑arrival communication to ensure this step is always completed smoothly and ahead of time.
I’m also very sorry for the unannounced fire alarm check. Entering an apartment without prior notification is unacceptable, and I fully understand how unsettling this was for the guest involved. This should never happen during a stay, and your feedback has been escalated so we can tighten our procedures and ensure all checks are carried out either before arrival or after departure.
Thank you again for highlighting these issues — your comments help us improve our processes and prevent similar experiences for future guests. I’m glad the apartment itself and the check‑out process met expectations, and I hope you might consider staying with us again so we can provide a much smoother visit.
Doesn’t live up to potential
The apartments are very clean, brand new and beautifully fitted. The beds are comfortable and all rooms are very spacious. Unfortunately, there were a number of minor issues that did add up to a negative experience. The parking situation is confusing and communication around this is poor. The receptionist at the front desk doesn’t work for Charles Hope, but also had no idea about where to park. We eventually worked this out ourselves and even though the nearby parking as advertised as 4h only, you can book for longer overnight stays.
The apartment did not have any loo roll, coffee pods, the towels were cheap and rough and dirty dishes from the previous tenants were left in the dishwasher. Someone else’s details were left on the check in iPad which I had access to (sure a breach of customer confidentiality?), the heating/aircon system was also difficult to use making the room quite warm during the recent heat wave.
Finally the photos used in the booking.com page are not representative of the rooms you actually stay in. Rooms are minimally decorated and don’t have the beautifully decorated interiors that are advertised by this company.
The building and area are fantastic and it seems that attention to detail is minimal. This is a shame, as these issues I’ve highlighted can be very easily sorted and if resolved would allow me to leave a 5 star review.

I’m very sorry, however, for the issues you experienced during your stay. The confusion around parking and the lack of clear communication should not have happened, and we appreciate you highlighting that the front desk team were unable to assist. We will be reviewing our parking guidance and ensuring clearer instructions are provided before arrival.
I also apologise for the housekeeping oversights — missing essentials such as loo roll and coffee pods, rough towels, and dishes left in the dishwasher. This falls below our expected standards, and we will reinforce our quality checks with the housekeeping team to prevent this from happening again.
Regarding the heating and cooling: our apartments do not have air‑conditioning, and the system is only able to heat the apartment, not cool it. During recent heatwaves, this has understandably made some rooms warmer than guests would like. We are actively reviewing heat‑mitigation options to improve comfort during hotter periods.
Thank you as well for raising the concern about the check‑in iPad displaying another guest’s details — this should not occur, and we are addressing this immediately to ensure data privacy is protected at all times.
On the point about the Booking.com photos: the images shown are a representation of the apartments we offer across the building, and the listing does note that decor and layout can vary between units. However, we recognise that consistency is important, and we are actively working on bringing all apartments up to the same visual and furnishing standard as those shown in the imagery.
Your feedback is extremely valuable, and you are absolutely right — these issues are small, easily fixable, and once resolved will significantly enhance the guest experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide the five‑star stay you were expecting.
The structure of the building is great…
The structure of the building is great in respect of accessibility to apartments and guest's privacy. No noise interference from neighbouring apartments.
Secondly, the location is very accessible. It is very near to bus and train stations.
The workers are friendly and ready to assist the guest, from front desk to room service.
The furnishing is fine. All the necessary facilities to make a guest comfortable and self reliance were provided.
Our visitors commended our coice of the apartment.
Overall, my wife and I, enjoyed our stay in Charles Hope apartments and will want to stay there on our visit to London.
Let us know if you maintain such apartments in other countries.
I just feel that the apartments should have transportation services. It will compliment guests experience - expecially to airport.

First time visit.
Once we worked out how to get in, we ve never used this system before, the apartment was spot on. Fully equipped, clean and great views, in a great position. Everything just a short walk away. Our only issue was the lack of air conditioning. It was absolutely red hot. Inside and out. No relief in the room, and very little sleep. We would probably consider coming back.

Clean, comfortable contemporary but HOT!!
Good location, great views. Very clean, comfortable and contemporary apartment.
However with the warm weather it was over 30deg in the flat which made it very uncomfortable/ unbearable overnight. Despite a few fans available, there was no ability to cool the apartment.

Apartment was lovely, very modern and large, double balcony front and back extremely handy if you’re a smoker. Beautiful area. Only one thing missing was larger cereal bowls for breakfast in the morning.

Great location
Great location, people on reception were lovely. Great vibe about the place
Constructive feedback:
Coffee machine - the wrong pods were supplied so it never worked.
Only 4 towels for 4 visitors - sure we did washing.
Bit odd that parts of the apartment felt unfinished. Like the walk in wardrobe didn’t have any clothes racks or shelving ?
No luggage racks.
Took us some time to find the hairdryer as it was in the top draw of the bedside table in the main bedroom ? Could have made more sense just leaving it on the bathroom. And yes we understand why there are no electrical plug points in the bathroom.
The sets of draws in both bedrooms are really odd. No handles or rebates in the front of each draw for pulling open. Had to grasp the sides of the draws to open?
Last thing - we paid for a 2 bed and 2 bathroom. Told a couple of days before arrival that we were being down graded.
We were offered a late check out but we asked for an earlier check-in and this we gratefully received by us. However, frankly, we were expecting some sort of partial refund. Left a bit of a sour taste.
Otherwise, we enjoyed our time to Charles Hope Battersea.

Our first time in that area of London
Our first time in that area of London, and we found your apartment complex very central to everything! The staff at the Concierge were very pleasant, helpful. The property itself is very clean, with plenty of space to relax, work or enjoy light entertainment when you must wait until 3:00pm to check in. We were very close to the U.S. Embassy where we had an appointment. We only spent one night, but the surrounding area had cafe’s, grocery stores and the Battersea Power Station to explore. My only concern is when I can expect the £100. deposit back which hasn’t been credited to my account yet.

Regarding the £100 deposit, this is a pre‑authorisation, meaning the funds are placed on hold by your bank rather than taken by us. Once you check out, we release the hold immediately. Your bank then processes the release, and the timeframe varies depending on the provider — some return it within hours, others may take several working days. If it appears as a completed debit rather than a pending hold, please contact our care team so they can assist.

It was a lovely and clean apartment
It was a lovely and clean apartment. The heat was unbearable, the temperature was set at 27 degrees, so in the 30 degree heat for the day it wasn't very nice going back to. We set the heating the manual at 21 degrees, but it just didnt cool enough.

The number shown on the thermostat is not the heating setting — it reflects the current temperature inside the apartment, which explains why it was reading 27°C during the warm weather. Although you can lower the heating manually, the system cannot cool the apartment, so it may still feel very warm in high external temperatures. We appreciate your feedback.
Excellent apartment
Excellent apartment, very clean and exactly what we wanted. Good location in Hove, 15 minutes ago walk to the sea front and 10 minutes to the station. Easy communication - parking in Brighton is premium so being able to reserve a parking space was really helpful.

wonderful Apartment
We were thrilled with the wonderful apartment and its beautiful furnishings, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. We were sad that we were only there for one night. Salisbury is also fantastic, especially the impressive cathedral.

The appartment was great even though missing some cuttlery and kitchen furnitures. Indicationw to go there were not precise so.that we needed to call. Just change the indication details to.provide the address of the reception. The rest was perfect but good for tehnological people :)

Terrible
An absolute nightmare from start to finish. The apartment was not fit for use, the service was substandard too, with total apathy shown towards resolving the issue. The air cooling unit was faulty, and known to be so. They would not or could not change my room, or even provide a basic fan. You would not be allowed to keep animals at that temperature. The check in process was also a calamity, with no email sent through, meaning I did not know I needed to bring a passport along. Hugely delayed things.

There were some things that didn’t work…
There were some things that didn’t work well in the apartment (toaster, coffee machine) and a strange smell came from the brown sofa.
But overall, it has been a nice experience.

The accommodation was very modern
The accommodation was very modern, clean and comfortable and, I was very impressed with the size and quality of the fittings and fixtures.
What I did not enjoy was the complete reliance on technology and automation that, when it doesn't always work properly - which was my experience - it leaves you, as the guest, feeling very frustrated and having to do a lot of further messaging which is not a good experience whatsoever!

Lovely space, just too hot
The studio was lovely and clean, and the check in was very straightforward. Nice area too with good transport links.
The only issue was the heat - it was 31 degrees inside all night and the windows don’t open wide enough to let air in. Please consider either installing air con or having some fans as it was very difficult to sleep.

There is parking in 2 to 3 minutes walking distance in the shadow of trees. Cost of 10 £ per day.
Instead of Salt lane parking in the sun for 15 £ and prebooking which was not explained and answered to my email.
