Great customer service from Wiktoria. The couriers were at fault and left me an empty parcel. Got no where with the courier company. Emailed Cartridge people. Received an almost instant reply with new cartridges being sent by return post.

Order process simple. Package arrived quickly but had been tampered with and ink removed.

Contacted Customer services and the problem was resolved within minutes and new ink sent out.

Delivery was quick. Purchased a multi pack. Had a problem with my printer printing after putting the cartridges in place. However George and Phil were quick to response to my email with how to get my printer working. Would recommend.

Cartridge People saved me money on the HP printer cartridges. I had an issue with the installation but when I called for help Sam sorted it out immediately - no wait on the phone - just helpful, polite advice. Will be switching to their own brand from now on.

I purchased genuine HP cartridges from this company, only to receive a call within 24 hours trying to persuade me to switch to their own-brand cartridges. I was very reluctant, but was given assurances that they would work just like the genuine HP cartridges.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience at all. When the own-brand cartridges arrived and were installed, the printer immediately showed an error, sprayed ink everywhere, and the ink levels showed as empty.

When I contacted the company to complain, they then backtracked and claimed that they had never advised that the cartridges would work just like the HP ones. That is completely at odds with what I was told during the sales call.

Quite simply, why would I want to purchase cartridges that my printer cannot even correctly recognise or report the ink levels for?

I am still pursuing the company to arrange for an engineer to inspect the printer and establish whether any long-term damage has been caused.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this company and sticking with genuine HP cartridges rather than taking the risk with their own-brand alternatives.

I have just placed an order a few hours ago, i ticked the no sales communication. im currently at 4 missed calls, 2 texts and an email, at first looking like theres a problem, but then you can see its to try and get you to buy refilled cartridges, which void printer warrenty, and as i found out leak and break printers. Blocked number. Never had this harassment with Printerland or Cartridge Save

Delivery company made a mistake. Contacted cartridge people. Immediate response and further item sent out the same day for next day delivery. Excellent service.

Had to sort out that I ordered the wrong cartridges, do a return of the wrong cartridges and purchase the correct ones for my printer. Aden was absolutely fantastic in talking me through every step of the way and making sure I understood everything. Aden explained that everything that was done today was explained on the emails he sent. Big Thanks Aden

I ordered and paid for genuine HP 303XL Original cartridges from Cartridge People. Their website already allowed me to choose between original HP and cheaper alternatives, and I deliberately chose the genuine HP product.

After I placed my order, Cartridge People telephoned me and tried to persuade me to switch to a cheaper product in return for a refund of about £27.

During the recorded call, when I asked what stock they were talking about, the adviser described it as:

“our own brand… our HP ink cartridges.”

At no point did he clearly say: “These are not manufactured by HP; they are Cartridge People own-brand compatible cartridges.”

I was sufficiently confused by the call that I stopped the conversation and asked them to put everything in writing.

After I complained, their Customer Service Supervisor sent me the transcript and admitted that “there wasn’t sufficient opportunity during the call to make all the details entirely clear.”

That is exactly the problem.

If a customer has specifically ordered genuine HP cartridges, and the company then calls trying to persuade them to change to a cheaper own-brand product, it should be made absolutely clear that the alternative is not an HP-manufactured cartridge.

Consumers should also be aware that UK law prohibits misleading commercial practices. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 protects consumers against misleading information capable of affecting a purchasing decision.

I have now made a formal complaint and have told Cartridge People not to make any further sales or marketing calls to me. I am also keeping the call transcript and correspondence in case I refer the matter to Citizens Advice Consumer Service / Trading Standards.

I am posting this review to warn other customers to listen very carefully if they receive a telephone call after ordering genuine branded cartridges.

My original HP order is still being dispatched, but I am extremely unhappy with the sales practice used after I had already made and paid for my choice.

Update: Roxy, the Sales Manager, has now claimed there was “no specific offer”, despite their own transcript showing I was told I could get £27 refunded if I switched from the genuine HP cartridges I had already paid for.

She also said I “disconnected the line”, but the transcript shows I asked for the offer in writing, the adviser agreed, and the call ended normally.

Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, traders must not use misleading commercial practices. I am keeping all emails and the transcript for Trading Standards.

Awful company that do not respond via email.

Great prices, compatible cartridges are a lot cheaper than the original ones, and work fine, they arrive quickly too, I have been using them on a regular basis for the last few months and will continue to use .

Prompt response by George. A few questions and then a new cartridge sent out.

the order was easy to place online, and was dispatched quickly. However it took 5 days to get to me due to issues with Evri the courier. When order eventually arrived, the packaging had been ripped open, a multipack cartridge set, taken from its box, and a desparate effort to reseal the packet made. Order arrived with packaging open at front door.
When contacting CP their agent Wiki, was very friendly, helpful, courteous and listened to my tale of woe. She immediately ordered a replacement for me, with notification arriving 5 minutes later. I offered to send photos, but Wiki said that they would contact Evri, to get things sorted. Great service, but I won't be returning if Evri remain the courier of choice

I had a few issues with my HP printer and your cartridges. I spoke to George in technical support and he helped me out immediately! Not only that, he sent me step by step instructions to sort my issue and within minutes, my printer was back up and running!
