Bought a sim free phone which stopped working after two weeks. Returned but had to chase 11 times over 2 months before they acknowledged they had received it back. They have sent a refund back to a card which isn't my card. When questioned, they said I have to wait a month for a cheque refund to arrive in the post, which will be 3 months after originally buying a phone which I used for 2 weeks. Absolutely appalling service, call and web chat advisors just fob you off and I still haven't had my refund. Whole experience has boiled my blood. AVOID

We ordered 2 phones on Carphone warehouse Ireland website last Friday, money was taken out of my husband's account no problem, we thought everything was fine.

Today Monday I got an email from them says that our order has been canceled for the reason of the card we were using for the payment is a non-EU card, which is Revolut.

But the money was taken out, the payment process went through no problem, now we have to wait 5-10 days for the refund.

Things just not feeling right here.

So if Revolut card is not acceptable for Carphone warehouse, there's no any statement on their website not even the check out page, instead still let the payment go through and taking money out of our account for nothing

we have no problem with the fact that they don't want the payment pay by revolut card, we can pay by the usual bank card instead if it was stated or informed on their website during the ordering process which they failed to do so

Wasting our time for nothing

I went to Carphone Warehouse today in Mahon Point, I was blown away by the kindness of Shiddeeq (I hope that's his name). Spent the time with me and helped me so much. A+ for customer service

My wife bought a Samsung s9 with a deal with google speker and tablet wee still did not get the tablet in the end so just be in mind when they have deals on .. make sure you get all in the same day and if they dont have it ask them doss a different shop have if just to save you for the hassle..

The staff in the Castlebar branch are absolutely fantastic. When I bought my phone earlier this year, they were so patient and understanding with my ignorance of phones, so when my youngest son needed his first phone it was a no brainer to go them. Marlena couldn't do enough to help me, as a parent, and my son, to get the phone he needed, including a super phone package deal. Two weeks ago I needed to unlock my own phone, again I called in and a lovely young gentleman told me not to worry he would sort it, he sent off paperwork, and I got my new unlock code. They told me they were always there to help and not to be afraid to ask them for assistance. It was a pleasure to deal with them. Caroline

Absolute waste of time. Phone adverised on their website as available in store. Went there and they say they never had it and it’s not available to order. Terrible shop and service

Have not had a good experience with Carphone Warehouse at all. Their customer service system is completely broken.

I ordered a phone online two and a half weeks ago. Was giving them the benefit of the doubt re a longer than expected delivery time. After two weeks I contacted them by email. No update after 24 hours so I called the delivery service myself who claim they never received the package.

I try to call Carphone and then enter into customer service hell. Over multiple calls I've been told a variety of things ranging from:

-I'll have to go in store to resolve the issue as they can't help with online sales (I called the number at the bottom of my receipt for the item I purchased online). This sounded like very poor advice. I called my local carphone warehouse to confirm this (they were very nice) but confirmed they can't help with online sales

-this is the number for .co.uk issues only (again the number I was given and used for around 4 other fruitless calls)

-they can't find my order and I can't have ordered from them. I have two emails and money that came out of my bank.

- they can't help but have another number for me to ring (the number does not exist when dialled)

Concurrently I have been trying to figure out where my €500 package is by their customer service via email. Each time I have been told they're following up with the delivery company. I only get a response after sending multiple emails.

I have now asked for a refund and have been told I cannot get one until the delivery company has confirmed the loss of a package they claim they never received.

And so it seems I shall be forever consigned to going round in circles.

Absolutely dreadful customer service. I followed their advice and it has cost me £160.
Apparently they are known to rip people off which is why 02 do not work with them.
What ever you do don’t use this company.

Bought a phone from. Prices were good and staff were courteous while switching my number over.

Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service! My Google Pixel that I purchased from Carphone Warehouse stopped working properly after having it less than a year. I was told to return my phone to the CW store and they would send in my phone for repairs. I asked for a replacement phone to get me through the next week, as I know other phone providers have this service. I was given an old Huawei replacement phone that has no app capabilities and was absolutely useless any needs in these current times. I am currently wfh and need access to apps such as zoom and also to connect to my vpn. I was beyond shocked that CW did not provide a replacement that fits with current standards of use. This phone was only good for calls/sms. Useless. After waiting for weeks for my Pixel to be repaired, I received a call saying that there were no parts for the Pixel 3 and they were not able to repair my phone, that instead they could send me a new Pixel 4. After a week, I received the 'new' phone. After 3 weeks the 'new phone' started turning off randomly and eventually stopped working. I am again without a phone! I called the repairs team and customer service team and they said that I would have to start the process over.. go to the store and send in this phone for repairs, that it could take up to 28 days! and again, I was only eligible to receive the replacement phone that has no app capabilities! I called again 3 times today and was hung up on by the customer service. Then was told that they are having technical issues and I need to call back. I am now without a phone. No idea how I am going to be able to work starting tomorrow! The phone will not even turn on! and this is a 3 week old phone that I am now supposed to send in for repairs!? Unacceptable customer service and I want out of this contract.

Terrible for dealing with problems my Samsung watch not working to the standard it should be called to carphone warehouse Blackpool discuss this with shop assistant told me will replace product told would have is it Friday didn't receive .ringing since but no reply won't answer phone for the last 4 day's will be going further about this

I always go to Carphone Warehouse as I like the unbiased help in providing information. The staff are very helpful and will do their best to get me sorted with the best deals to suit me and my budget.

The general manager Paul is the best guy. I and my friend brought a s20+ and a p40pro for about 2000e and this guy was the only reason for it. The other staff at the store would like to put you on the bill pay which is probably better for them but this guy will give you the real deal. Also i fell other staff are not as knowledgeable as Paul thats why they try to give less info or avoid engaging with customer for long. I recommend people to get info and suggestions on products from paul or else engaging with others is same as going buying something on their web site

I was very well treated by Moiz in the Parkway Store, Limerick; he was polite, helpful, and took his time with me. A very pleasant experience.

Dreadful customer service!!
Went in to BUY a phone on upgrade. Blonde assistant gave impression she didn't want to be in the store.
I was given no options , and when I asked her to help set up new phone she said she wasn't allowed!! Why open also she wore no PPE . I can give further details re this staff member if I'm contacted. I went to Vodafone where I was given good service

i went into the currys/carphone warehouse at cheetham hill manchester and asked for an UPGRADE and the stupid girl who served me has signed me up to another contract to run along side with the one i already had...
went back to store only to be told " tough you will just have to pay it" asked about the cooling off period and she answered "we don't do returns on phones" went on internet and found the ceo's details sent message got a reply from jenny jones stating that there is nothing they can do but will look into into see if the store is at fault..
i explained that i would not have asked for a new number as i have just had business cards printed with my number on...

any way after 5 days of being passed around i have spoke to EE and within 5 minutes they had sorted it all out...
i have (had) been a loyal customer for over 20 years but will never ever go into one of their stores again and would tell anyone upgrading to go direct to your phone provider or buy a phone elsewhere and just use the sim card they have.
so to say carphone warehouse are crap is an understatement .
why they have a customer service office is beyond me as they do not give a sh7t about you all they see is money of a new phone contract..

We have previously had good service from the stand alone store in Gateshead Metrocentre, but when my wife had a problem with her ZTE we went into the one at PC World , Team Valley. Got no help from the off-hand remarks from the young woman who talked to us and ended up telling us to buy a Nokia 2.2. We had numerous problems with it and my wife returned to ask for help. The male assistant was trying to work through the problems when the manager interrupted and took over. When my wife tried to explain what was wrong, he shouted her down and began to bombard her with instructions without knowing what the problems were, he also said that a phone can only be returned within fourteen days of purchase whatever the reason. The manager's attitude was condescending and aggressive from the outset. We wrote a detailed letter to Customer Services and are still awaiting so much as an acknowledgement seven months later. Carphone Warehouse are closing their stand alone stores which does not bode well for the future, I would suggest that you look elsewhere for your new mobile.
Quick update- we were contacted and have been told that they couldn't investigate the complaint because of the current situation (lockdown) but the area manager said he had no knowledge of any complaints relating to customer service. Checked the Team Valley store site for August 2019 (month that my wife was in the store) and found complaints about poor customer service including one with remarkable similarities to my wife's treatment (sounds like the complainant got the same aggressive guy as my wife).
Case is on going, update(s) to come.

Unbelievable poor customer service and repair. 3 month old phone waiting over a month.

Excellent service by Alex and very happy with my new phone.
