The CameraWorld day at Brands Hatch was a great opportunity to try out lenses and cameras prior we are thinking of buying. And to explore features and hone skills under the guidance of brand representatives. You don’t have to be into motor racing to benefit from a great day out!

I attended the Brand's Hatch Cameraworld trade fair (Friday 2 October 2026).I had booked to go on the 4-5pm Sigma photography walk. On arrival at the appointed time of 4pm, I was told that they'd cancelled the activity and were hiring out a lens for the day. Bear in mind the 'day' finished at 5pm so the lens would get only limited time. (They also said they hadn't got one for my Canon R6 anyway). So my early start that day and my car journey from Norwich (250 mile round trip) and Dartford Crossing payment was wasted.

I received no communication beforehand that the activity was cancelled.
Not impressed with lack of communication from Sigma or Cameraworld.

Good prices, fast shipping and a huge thank you to the excellent customer service department that managed to sort a mistake that was entirely my fault. Highly recommended.

The overall track experience was good, as i have never photographed motorsport before at an event like this, so this was a great opportunity to have a go, however i did find the camera-world venue rather cramped with not much space to move about and actually take some time to look at things. Now I know this is not Camera worlds issue but this could be fed back to the brands, people love free stuff, stickers pens etc the only brand I could see offering freebies was insta360 and 3legged things. There didn’t seem to be any prize draws or anything which would have been a great way to capture new marketing avenues. Photographers spend A LOT of money so freebies would be nice.
What I also found a bit frustrating was the Canon session, we headed to the roof terrace after a quick chat, and the content of the session was not what I was expecting, we got to the terrace just in time for a few laps only for the riders to come in to the pits for lunch, when they did come back out there was no testing of kit (i did get to try 2 lenses at the stand but not actually in combination with the riders in the session. There were not really any tips that I already didn’t know from swatting up before attending, (only 1 thing I learned about subject tracking). I think having more content in the sessions with professional motorsport shooters would have been great, having access to the pits (in small groups) would have been awesome. Overall i did enjoy my day but for the distance i travelled i wished the sessions had been more in depth.

I ordered an item in May, that was listed as being in stock. After a month I emailed asking for a delivery date. It was only then that I was told it wasn't in stock and they kept giving me dates as to when they thought it would arrive, all the while, still showing it as in stick. I then kept emailing when those dates had passed, as no one from there could be bothered to let me know. I eventually contacted the owner, who to his credit, did try to ring, but my phone doesn't accept withheld numbers and I emailed him saying that, and heard nothing back. After one of my emails, they told me it had arrived at their warehouse the Friday before and would be with me the following week. A couple of weeks later, still no item. I then contacted them again and was told by someone else, that it hadn't actually arrived. I then stopped getting replies to my emails, all of which I still have, should they say anything different. Eventually it arrived on the last day of September, one day short of it going into the 5th month.

Great first time experience, would love to do it again. I love the community and workshops and getting an idea of the industry and how far it has come, would recommend to go with others as it makes the event more memorable.

We really enjoyed the bikes on the track and I got some useful info on a product I was interested in.

Asked to review the camaerworld event at Brands. Last year we really enjoyed but this year was somewhat disappointing. Last year all the main manufacturers were represented demonstrating their latest kit and allowing trying of their kit on the photo walks, this led to a £3k purchase. This year was told that they weren't doing it, hadn't brought enough kit to be lending out.
There were more workshops last year.
Also signed a friend and I signed up for the free Epson prints and when we sent to the stand at 1:30 ish was told they had run out of ink and hadn't brought any more..
Overall didn't feel very well organised or run and probably wouldn't bother going again now.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. My item arrived within 2 working days and was exactly as expected.

I’ll definitely be back for my next camera-related purchase. Highly recommended!

Visited the Cameraworld event at Brands Hatch. Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic venue really well organised and lots of superb advice given. Especially on the photo walks. Look forward to going again next year

Been to the Brands Hatch Photo show before always found it to be very good. Exibitors very informative about their products.Will be going again next year, would it be possible to expand it to another floor to get even more exibitors!.

Not a big order, just a £50 token, but came very quickly and securely..

I ordered a MagMod MagBox Pro 24" Octa and two MagMod MagBox Pro 42" Octas from CameraWorld.
The 24" Octa was delivered on 8 September. The two 42" Octas were not available at the time, and CameraWorld had told me they were expected later in September.

What happened afterwards has been extremely frustrating.

CameraWorld's online order system was updated to show all three items as delivered when only the 24" Octa had actually been delivered. When I queried this, I was initially sent the DPD tracking number for the parcel I had already received. That parcel contained the 24" Octa only.

After further chasing, CameraWorld eventually acknowledged in writing that the two 42" Octas had not yet arrived. I was then told that they were due that week and, once received, would be sent to me on a next-working-day service.

The next delivery finally arrived on 1 October. Unfortunately, when I opened it, I discovered that CameraWorld had sent me two MORE 24" Octas instead of the two 42" Octas I had actually ordered and paid for.

So I now have three 24" Octas and none of the two 42" Octas I ordered.

I have spent weeks emailing and chasing this order, and I have also tried repeatedly to contact both the Stevenage and London branches by telephone, without being able to get through.

This is particularly frustrating because I need the 42" Octas for my professional photography work this week. The additional 24" Octas are obviously no substitute.

I have now had to raise the matter with PayPal because, despite numerous attempts to resolve this directly with CameraWorld, I still do not have the products I paid for.

This has been an extremely disappointing experience, from the incorrect delivery status and lack of clear communication to ultimately receiving the wrong products altogether.

I would have expected much better from an established camera retailer.

Very disappointing experience with CameraWorld. I had already experienced delays with a previous delivery, and this return further undermined my confidence in their service.

I returned an unopened Peak Design camera strap within the agreed timeframe. Royal Mail tracking showed it as delivered, and CameraWorld’s Stevenage store emailed me the same day confirming receipt, naming the item and asking whether I wanted to put its value towards another purchase.

After repeatedly chasing my refund, I was told they had not received the return and that I should contact Royal Mail. When I forwarded their own confirmation email, they called me and claimed it had been sent by “mistake”.

The email included my return number, identified the exact item and matched the tracked delivery date. Being asked to disregard that written confirmation made me feel gaslighted. Their attempt to move the conversation to the phone rather than address the contradictory evidence in writing only added to my frustration. I asked for further communication to remain in writing.

Eventually, and after many days of fighting, the refund simply appeared in my account, with no further explanation or acknowledgement. The most surreal experience I’ve ever had with a shop. After all the chasing and contradictory information, I would be reluctant to buy from CameraWorld again.

DO NOT BUT FROM CAMERA WORLD!!! Bought camera online. Money was taken out of my account. They then said item wasn’t available asked for a refund then was told it would be in stock in a weeks time. I waited then one week later no camera available. Asked to a refund again. My order still hasn’t been refunded and am
£1500 out if pocket. I have chased customer service And ignored numerous times. I have had to contact my bank to start refund process but still out of pocket got an item
I ordered 8 weeks ago. Bad attitude from workers and I would question if this retailer is just a scammer. Use any other retailer other then Camera world. They are not worth the stress to deal
