We have dealt with several lenders in the past couple of years. Our recent experience with Button Finance has been by far the best experience we have ever had with a lender. This is especially true due to the care and professionalism of two of their people; Patrick Johnson and Brittany Knaak. We would recommend this company and Patrick to anyone seeking a mortgage of any kind.

James Baer is an excellent Loan Officer.
He walked me thru the entire process from our first conversation thru loan approval and informing me my loan had been funded and to expect the proceeds within 24-48 hours.

James Baer called me and we started putting together a HELOC. He was so helpful and informative that it seemed to go so effortlessly that within a 10 day period it was complete. James wasn’t pushy. He was very polite and patient with me and that made my experience with Button finance such a positive one.

I questioned the upfront 5% loan fees (that’s not the rate, that’s the fees!) they didn’t mention up front when I was pricing loans….i received a very snide response from Button.

While I certainly appreciate sarcasm, getting an insulting & obnoxious response when I’m drowning in calls/texts/emails from agents might not be the best way to win biz. Just a thought.

Button Finance lures people in by advertising loans with low interest rates, but the actual experience has been extremely frustrating and feels deceptive. After applying, they take a long time to approve loans, only to turn around and deny them after charging customers an appraisal fee. They promise reimbursement if the loan amount is over $250K, but when denied, they repeatedly stall on refunds—saying “it’s under process” for months without resolution.

This behavior wastes time, money, and trust. It feels like a scheme designed to extract appraisal fees rather than truly help customers. I’ve been dealing with this for 2+ months, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable.

Be very cautious if you choose to deal with Button Finance, particularly with representatives like Sunday Randolph and Sean Wilson. Customers deserve honesty and transparency, not endless runarounds.

If need more proofs I can send the email thread going on from june 6 with them , today Aug 20 still no refund

Bo Lucas was terrific and on point to work with and if it wasn't for him I would not have moved forward with the loan. Thank you Bo! No matter what my questions were Bo listened and talked me thru everything and trust me, I had lots of questions for him.
Even after the loan processed Bo followed up to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction.

Button Finance is amazing! Patrick worked to get my family what they needed. He was honest and provided suggestions based on our needs. The entire process was extremely efficient. After signing paperwork, once the loan went through, he contacted me to discuss next steps with my HELOC as well as future options. I am so grateful for the whole team for helping my family.

James Baer was my loan officer for our HELOAN on an investment and he was the biggest help through the whole process! He answered all of my many questions and was patient and helpful the whole way through. He ended up getting us the best option in exactly the loan we were hoping for. I guarantee we would have not found what we were looking for without James and Button Finance’s lending. Ron Monninger in underwriting was also a huge help and was great to work with. Patrick was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard for my business. He made the process painless and set us up for success. Great company, easy to work with, very communicative, and I would do business with them again!

I worked with Patrick (and Ron) both were prompt to answer any questions I had. After being told by a few banks after sending in paperwork that I wouldn’t be approved for a heloc, I was hesitant, but they delivered. It was a seamless process and these guys were great! I had no issues and even accommodated my schedule to get the papers signed.

This was the first time I did a heloc loan and I was nervous about it. Chandler was very helpful and really took the time to explain the process to me. (Several times!) her patience and willingness to go over things repeatedly with me in a way that made me feel like I was in good hands! After I qualified, Neyali took over and was equally patient and reassuring! It went smoothly and I am glad that I went through with it!! I feel like both of these women went above and beyond with their compassion and professionalism and knowledge. I am thankful that I had these women guiding me through this process!

This is a real financial company providing fair home equity loans. Working with Brandon and Ron during the loan process was great. They were always available when I called and sent text messages or emails. They were very thorough and patiently explained each part of the process. I recommend this company

Great overall experience. The team worked very fast and diligently throughout the whole process. Chandler Buss was an excellent loan officer.

i had to drop a different company and lost $300 and 2 months. this company was able to get it done in 2 weeks with no headache.

Brandon McDaniel was great helping me with my Home Equity loan. He was very helpful, professional and quick response to my text and emails. I was dealing with Mr Brandon to get all documents needed to process my loan request and he was very efficient and effective
He was very responsible, attentive and respectful with the entire process
Even though he transfer me with the loans officer he was still pending of the entire process all the time

Everyone was nice but the person initiating the loan did a really poor job of letting me know what to expect all the way through the process. He was in such a hurry to close the loan before the end of the month that I was given almost no information about how funds were going to be sent, no information about what to expect at closing, nothing.

ETA: Now they're harassing me via phone calls and texts to change my review. The agent I worked with sent me a series of mildly snarky texts and now the branch manager is calling multiple times in a row and texting me as well.

Brandon was incredibly responsive and helpful when I had a questions about my loan. He went above and beyond to resolve any issue that I had. I was blown away by the exceptional service I received. Brandon was friendly and patient with me making this process easy for me. I highly recommend Brandon, you will not regret it.
