I wanted to list my 1958 C1 Corvette with an asking price that I felt was fair given that it's a numbers matching NCRS judged car with a rating of 97.3, but they declined to list it, giving this reason.

Fantastic Corvette. We think the car could be a great fit, but suspect a reserve closer to $90- $94,000 will be necessary for a reasonable chance of sale based on the results we're seeing towards the top of the market in recent months with non-Fuelie C1s. We would be able to accommodate listing with a reserve in that range, but realize that is a fair amount below your expectations and completely understand if that won't work for you.

What do they care what I list my car at, they are still getting their commission.

These are rough to read. Saw a Jeep that I really wanted. 80% 1 star reviews. I guess this is no Bonhams and I’ll pass.

This company doesn’t respond well to complaints. They flagged my comments while I was actively bidding on a car that needed work after I said that it “needed work.”
Instead of providing a satisfactory response, they insulted my intelligence by telling me I should have done my research and said it was poor.sportsmanship to state an “unsubstantiated claim.”
This, they said to me, the owner of the exact same make and model of the car I was bidding on for 17 years who knows more about the cars worth and engine problems than the seller and BaT combined.
What I found to be hypocritical is, it was ok for the seller of the vehicle to complain about the value of his car last minute, that it was too low, but not ok for me to explain why. In the end, it wasn’t an unsubstantiated claim as others had mentioned. It was right there in the comment section and even commented on after the auction ended. There was no paper work on the car at all from the seller. He was doing a quick flip as most do so there were many red flags on this sale.
Funny enough, it ultimately cost the seller more money because I decided to stop my bidding immediately and the car sold for less than what I was willing to pay. Obviously cost BaT some commission too but this is what happens when they intentionally try to intimidate and influence an auction sale.
Even though they state their goal is reflect the real world value of the cars, that can only happen when they leave the bidding process to those of us that actually know what the value is and allow all the facts to be presented. They actually have a censorship department and are very proud of that fact.. After days of no response, I decided to insult them as they had insulted me the week prior. I finally got their attention and they banned my personal account which was no big deal since I had already deleted the app and moved on. There was no path in which I saw myself going down where I would spend money with a company that has such a pompous attitude combined with such low standards.

Company is a clown show. Bought a car 2 months ago. Still no title. After weeks of lies and stall tactics, the car showed up and didn't run, not only did it not run, but BAT sent us a fresh cut key for a BMW, that doesnt' work. Naturally, we can't get one from BMW because we don't have a title.

There are thousands of places to buy a car, do yourself a favor and choose another outlet. These people are criminals.

Bring a trailer offers no protection whatsoever to sellers. My car sold for a very low amount, then the winning bidder ghosted me, so BAT put me in touch with the second highest bidder, who wasted another week of my time before disappearing as well. BAT made their commisisions,, but I was left with 2 non-paying bidders, and no recourse with BAT. They then suspended my selling rights, with no explanation or recourse. As a seller, this site should be avoided.

To all who read this, do not buy on Bringatrailer auction site, especially from Dave Kelly in Philadelphia (dkel). BaT allows sellers such as this to blatantly misrepresent the vehicles they are selling, with no recourse, to the point of endangering people’s lives; allows sellers, as it did this one, to ship when they feel like it which may be 3 or 4 weeks after payment is received by their bank with no recourse. The vehicle I bought from dkel at auction dumped the entire contents of the transmission fluid immediately after unloading at delivery and had to be repaired where it sat in my driveway before it could even be pulled into the garage. The seller lied about the ac unit being functional but needing a charge of freon, lied about the physical condition of the truck, lied about why he would not ship it for an extended time after being paid, and lied about multiple dangerous defects found on arrival that needed repair, with this example being one of the worst: the belt and pulley system was not done correctly and one of the belts was mounted dragging over the face of the power steering pulley (wrong pulley used) and then run over the top of another belt already in a slot and stretched tightly enough that it would rotate with the other belt underneath enough to function marginally, shredding small pieces of rubber all over the inside of the engine compartment. It had already taken out a chunk of the fan shroud. The truck was undriveable after being represented as ready to go. I will never use this auction site again, nor this seller, and neither should you.

Submitted to sell a rare Cabela's truck in pristine condition. There was only one year (2009) of production for this model....Highly optioned and always sought after by sportsmen. Reasonable reserve of $22,500. After a painstaking endeavor to photograph to their "resolution" specifications. It was declined. Yet other POS are listed. WTH!?! Customer service is the worst and after reading the reviews here, I am not the only one with that opinion.

I had a terrible experience on BringaTrailer. The anonymous bidders can say anything at any time including the last hour of bidding even if it is not true. Go somewhere else where you can present the car like a normal auction without the worst features of the internet.

I bought a motorcycle on bring a trailer. It arrived with more mechanical problems than I could list here. The bike presented on BaT was NOT the bike I received! BaT did nothing. They said verification of condition was buyer responsibility. Beware Buyer!

Buy my experience as a overseas buyer only i have to say everything works well... but BAT changed overall:
It startet as a website selling classic-cars and it's quiet clear and most times visible on pictures what the value is in reality....
If i was interested in a valuable car i ordered a inspection team to clarify everything ... there are some in the US.
Right now it changed from a website with special cars to a more or less usual car seller with different customers...
That's really sad
for sure.

My experience with BaT was awful and I will recommend against anyone using the site in the future.

Summary
I had to do 3 rounds of photos after paying for professional photos
It took them 49 days to list the car.
The service was awful and slow.
They made the car look like crap - terrible seller experience.

Details Here:
-Despite them saying they wanted to list my car and me choosing and paying for the professional photo package I had to send more photos just to give them "a sense" of the car.
-They gave me a reserve with no actual data to back it up when cars sold on the site with information we had at the time were much higher.
-Going back and forth was terrible because it was basically one message a day with no calling or messaging options. It delayed going live by over a week.
-It took you three weeks to begin processing the listing after getting the photos and only after I complained.
- They greatly over exposed the photos making the car look a lot worse than it actually does - this seems to be a buyer friendly tactic but one that sellers should be very aware of so they avoid using your site. I had been warned about this by another seller and he was 100% right. These guys only care about the buyers.
-Their first step was to ask me to do more work taking photos after I bought the professional package because I DIDN’T WANT TO TAKE PHOTOS and would not do a good job.
-It was clear that their guy knew what he wanted but not where it was nor what it looked like as he gave me bad directions and then told me that since I couldn’t find it he couldn’t list it with the information.
- The manager got on the thread after I complained about making this my problem and recognized I HAD found it but needed the other side of it which I did my best to send. So I had to do MORE pictures.
- I submitted the car on May 23. The auction went live on July 11. 49 DAYS
- I paid for premium service and instead still ended up doing a ton of work to get the car listed. They should have offered to refund all or a portion of my photo package after the 3 requests for more photos but their poor understanding of good service continued.

If I could give 0 stars I would.

The process in the beginning was fine. The auction specialist will answer you at least once a day once you are assigned one.

Typically if your vehicle is worth under $20k they do not let you put a reserve on it. This was not explained well as I thought my car had a reserve.

During the last day of the auction, someone figured out where I lived from the pictures and came to my house!

It's been very scary. Sleepless nights since this.

I've repeatedly asked Bringatrailer to take my auction down, as the buyer never purchased the vehicle and I'm terrified and unsafe.

They are unwilling to do so. We've now submitted the information to our Attorney who is pursuing these illegal activities further.

After spending hours taking pictures and videos of a beautiful classic motorcycle and then sending in everything they rejected my listing.

I'm debating putting a group of people together for a class action lawsuit because this is a ridiculous situation which could have easily been avoided.

If I had known that was even possible I never would have bothered

they wanted to list a 250 000.00 for a 70 K reserve. sounds like crooked stuff.

Terrible company all they care about is getting there money. I sold a truck on there and the buyer was bogus. They could cars less and will not help at all. Good luck with these low life's....

Be very careful! Bring a Trailer charges $2000 plus 5% sales fee for their white glove service and it’s not what you think. I heard about BaT several years ago at a car show. After subscribing (you can’t remove your credit card) I thought why not try it. It took two weeks for them to approve my $2k listing. Each email with my assistant took 1-3 days for a reply and 4 days if I emailed on a Thursday. Your photo listing will only appear the 1st day and last day of the auction. I was never able to speak to a person even after numerous requests. Also my so-called assistant took two vacations during my processing period. It took 90 days (yes 90 days) until my car went live at their auction. My assistant really was never helpful. He didn’t seem to care and only answered my questions according to their script. It was a very long and painful experience. Under NO conditions will I ever list anything with BaT again.

Show quality Mustang. Sent me a lame generic excuse not to run the ad. BAT, another Supercharged 2012 Ford Mustang GT 6-Speed listed with 69,000 miles........oh wait! Magazine Car! LAME! Sold for 39k? The car was literally scratched up in multiple seller photos, heavy seat wear etc. Seller displayed the defect photos. Another "Galpin" car with over 80k miles listed on BAT, sold 29k. My car - One tiny door scratch on this car, 3mm, and a show quality build. NEW Recaro seats over 65k invested. Lame! Nicest one in the US right now that is not supercharged etc. 1 owner & under 24,000 miles! BAT never called. Promised 3 days. I would have worked with them. Bad experience.

This is an excellent auction site to sell classic and high end cars. They are very professional and the whole experience from start to finish is awesome. We even arranged for a professional photographer to take photos of the car. My classic car sold within 7 days. The selling experience went well. I would recommend people use this website!
