Arrived on a Boeing dreamliner back from Barbados on Saturday morning which is a rare occasion for this airport only to have to wait on the plane for 20 minutes as they couldn't find any steps for the plane, how strange they didn't know we were coming? When we finally got off the plane and through to arrivals, O.m.g! 300 people waiting around a single conveyer for 30 minutes for our bags and then let chaos begin. An Absolute joke.
Not the best way to end a holiday.

Lovely small airport with a very relaxed atmosphere. I now avoid the busy ones as seem very frustrating. Stress less travel,on our doorstep.

Bournemouth "international" airport is stuck in the past. Joined the queue to check in to Tui flight, 1.45 minutes before departure time. We queued for 40 minutes, only two desks open. Then when most of the queue had checked in they opened two more desks. We proceeded to the restaurant and knew we would be too late for dinner at the hotel in Cyprus so we wanted a hot lunch. They told us it would take 1/2 hour by which time we would be boarding, so we had a toasted sandwich. At the Hotel 5 hours later another sandwich as restaurant was closed. Car park needs improvement, just a plot of land at the back where most of the spaces were. On return at 12.40 am we waited ages for the luggage to appear which on past experience, isn't unusual. I think it will have to be Southampton from now on. Not any improvement from new owners except some extra flights.

2 stars at best flew out to lanzarotte last Sunday flight delayed by 3 hours not the airports fault at all but zero info to what was happening. Flew back in this Sunday plane got in on time 10.40pm stood around then for an hour waiting for our bags to be unloaded (same last year but only had to wait 45 mins then) plus points it’s local but that’s the only plus

Good destinations but it’s a real joke having to pay for drop off even in a taxi. Sometimes it’s just easier to step off the train at Southampton and be in terminal within 2 mins

Please stop forcing people to pay £2.50 or £4 if using a card to drop people off or pick them up.

BE AWARE TAKE NOTE MAKE SURE YOUR CASE IS ON THE PLANE
We were flying out of BOURNEMOUTH AIRPORT at 4-30am the only plane leaving at this time and my case got left behind at the airport.
No effort was made to forward my case to me . I was joining a cruise ship that left Corfu at 11pm I did not get my case until my return.
My holiday was ruined.
Please don’t let it happen to you be aware and check that your case gets on the plane as like me it will ruin your holiday just because of pure CARELESSNESS from Bournemouth airport staff.

Only wanted to drop off my son at our local airport but had to pay for this without any prior notification. This could have been difficult as I was not expecting charges and had no means of payment. Followed signs for the drop off which led you into the car park where a £3 minimum charge applied. There was no alternative, you had to pay. Fortunately my son had his payment card. Failure to pay would have resulted in a fine. Would have dropped off on the road outside had I known. Absolute rip off, grasping for every penny they can.

Just flew out with my wife and 3 children to Lapland,lady called Ingla and gentlemen man from Newcastle in security went the extra mile to ensure the kids had a magical start to there adventure,Thank You

Our local airport as really gone down hill! The poor staff in security and catering are stretched as there isn’t enough of them although prices for food etc is high! Waiting half an hour for a bacon sandwich, asking a waiter who didn’t speak any English was the end of the road! The decor when you fly home in the toilets are dirty and chipped. Flights are so expensive, only positive is its local!

Having paid a little more to park in Premier Parking we were disappointed by the level of service offered!
Poor signage, no staff to welcome and direct and parking that was quite frankly a free for all with cars parked selfishly in poorly marked bays.
Additionally, when we returned at 1 a.m the car park was poorly lit.
If using this airport use a taxi, Premier Parking was a waste of money

Just travelled through check-in at Bournemouth with a drone. Normally it’s a hassle (and a strip search!) but the staff were absolutely lovely. No hassles and very friendly staff. Thanks MaS

I am also posting review of car park here. The cost has gone up £25.00 in just 2 months - how can this be ok? Also our last experience was awful. Despite pre-booking our reservation was not on the system. No one answered the help button for 5 mins causing other cars to blast their horn at us - very embarrassing. To make matters worse it had not been resolved for our return journey and we had to use the help button and explain everything again.

Since there is not an option for airport parking reviews I have posted it here. It's a Nice little airport, very convenient for us, nice staff and relaxed atmosphere. It can get congested on return due to security especially if two planes arrive at once. However the security staff are thorough but as friendly as professionalism allows.
The big issue is parking, the costs are very high and have increased since the new owners took over. A lot of the parking is basic and overgrown especially the overflow (cheaper) area. The last time I parked there for three weeks my car electronics played up on pick up. The garage showed me a video of the damage caused by mice or rats that had made a nest in the cowling and chewed through cabling, an expensive repair.
It is now much cheaper for us to go by taxi or use one of the other car paring services.
My advice is use the airport but avoid the car park.

Dropped off someone on Sunday and was surprised that there was no drop off zone and so was forced to drive into the car park and part with a 3 quid for 30 seconds.

Unbelievably and unnecessarily complicated process for dropping off passengers and staying for less than 30 minutes. Very poor signage/direction and the use of a token to enter/exit the short stay car park makes the whole process stressful and frustrating. Very poor impression.

Flying & parking at Bournemouth makes every holiday enjoyable from the very start to finish and you do not get that at any other airport

Very easy to book online, to find the car park and to exit afterwards. No hassle!
