I think audiologists should speak English clearly. My tests were conducted against background noise from the reception area next door so it was very hard to concentrate. The audiologist’s room should be soundproofed. I also think the audiologist should recommend a type of hearing aid that suits one’s needs, rather than leaving one to choose from a leaflet.

In all it was fine , lady taking hearing test was pleasant

I got all the information I needed but the hearing test was very stressful due to the air con noise and the coffee machine outside the roo. What it needs is a sound proof booth

I had fully intended to buy hearing aids but left halfway through my second appointment as I realised it was a waste of time. The room where the hearing test was conducted was just a partition of the main shop and there was no soundproofing. The noise of the air-conditioner, along with talking and laughter from an adjoining room, prevented me from hearing sounds during the test. I stopped the test and was then told that, in fact, the test was finished and I could then choose hearing aids. Having played down the noise interference when I had mentioned it earlier in the test, the audiologist then told me that the room wasn't soundproof and she had complained to her manager about it as a lot of other people had problems discerning the beeping sounds during the test because of outside noise as well.

Very helpful and patient Audiologist. Explained every query in great detail.
Only negative comment is Boot`s pricing--Rather expensive as compared to what competitors are offering for the same service.

Had to call into Hoddesdon branch for a quick repair on my hearing aid, saw Arathi who fixed the problem straight away. Helpful and polite, thank you.

I was greeted at my appointment time for my hearing test The lady took me into a small room to do the test
She was very professional and when the test was done, i asked about price and the different hearing aids on offer. I tried a pair on, which were the most expensive, but unfortunately she didn't have any other examples on her to show me. So this week i will pick up my new hearing aids. A bit more than i would have liked to have paid.
Please could you advertise the prices on your leaflets so the general public can see before they buy. Money is tight at the moment, and i feel like I'm being ripped off because there was no other comparison i could try?
