Whilst I cannot fault the product, I wish I had researched on line before going to Boots. I purchased a pair of Phonak Audeo 190-sphere hearing aids at a cost of £4,153.33 which included a discount of £1595 and also included a TV receiver. The same product is available on line for about £2500 so I would advise anyone to research first. As with all big businesses boots put money before any other considerations, so for that reason I have done the same with this review. Another minus was the reception area was at the rear of boots store in the metro centre, Gateshead and felt a bit cheap and clinical. That said the audiologist was very professional and informative and made me relaxed. Unfortunately towards the end of the consultation he appeared to be more of a salesman.
Once the aids were put in to test I could not believe how good they were. I must admit to getting emotional at being able to hear again. I did choose the latest, top of the range aids so if they didn't work, what would? One week later I attended a fitting appointment to collect my new hearing aids. They were as expected and everything was explained to me very professionally. Overall I cannot fault boots except for the profit grabbing aspect. My advice is to research on line first and that would apply to any product purchased from any large high street chain.

Seen on time, good explanations, no hard sell. Expensive but, so far, very happy with AI hearing aids which connect via bluetooth with my phone, PC and car. I'm confident that if I experience ear problems, as I have with hearing aids in the past, I have plenty of time to return them and get my money back.

I found the whole process good from making the first contact to finish receiving the hearing aids and actually been able to hear was amazing.

Both appointments were carried out professionally and in a friendly manner. Issues were explained as was the purpose and nature of the tests on both occasions.
My second appointment took place 13 June and whilst this review shows 6/6 I have the same views for both visits.

Joe, the audiologist was first clsss. He was so calm and understanding with my 88 year old mother.

We are still in the process of having problems with my husbands hearing aid resolved until this happens we can't comment. This is ongoing since January 2024.

From first going into room, I was put as ease. Everything was explained to my husband and I in clear, precise and easy to understand language. All questions we had were thoroughly explained too. Have to return in a couples of weeks time for a three month trial and explanation/assistance on how hearing aids work, how they are cleaned and charged, plus assistance on how to put in and take out the hearing aids. Any other questions will also be answered fully. A really helpful manner and explanation on various aspects of hearing aids was given by Laura. Thank you for your help.

My husband had appointment booked in for a hearing check on Saturday 3rd February it was cancelled, We then booked another appointment for the following Saturday which was cancelled when I complained they said they could change the time, it was originally 9.30am in the morning and changed to 9.45 which I immediately thought great at least the appointment hadn’t been cancelled just the time. My Husband and I arrived on the 10th February at 9.45 for appointment.We arrived to be informed that they were running late as they had a fire alarm, My Husband said don’t worry we are happy to wait. And we waited for a good 15/20 minutes to be informed that we would have to reschedule. We couldn’t actually believe it. How disappointing I’ve never been more disappointed in a well known company. Whilst walking to our car we noticed advertising appointments in Marks and Spencer’s. We waited 30 minutes for the next appointment seen no disruptions as we were in the same building as the fire drill. Brilliant service at Marks and Spencer’s. Wouldn’t recommend Boots Very disappointing.
