the audiologist was very good at…
the audiologist was very good at explaining the differences between hearing aids. So I am going back in amonth to get set up with my new aids, and I feel confident that they will greatly help my hearing and make life so much more bearable.

Beware of Boots Hearingcare Barnstaple
I went in for my annual hearing check. In the past, the technician would modify my hearing aids if there were changes in my hearing. This time round, it was a disaster. First, my appointment started thirty minutes late because the technician was with another client. Then the technician did not check my hearing because he did not know how to work the boots hearing software on his computer. He claimed he wasn't going to check my hearing in the booth anyway, but use a different device instead. He couldn't work this either. Since my hearing aids are pretty old, I asked him to run a diagnostic on them. He couldn't make that work either. We made some small talk while he struggled with the software and it turns out he'd been working for Boots Hearingcare for nine months or so. So, either he was not given enough training or he simply isn't suited for this position. In any event, I went to Hidden Hearing after and had a lovely experience. I bought new hearing aids there.
