The website is easy to navigate, the product selection is quite good, most grocery items are authentic and from Eastern european origin. The delivery was prompt and the order was processed correctly.
I have ordered from Balkan Fresh before and i will continue to do so again.

EDIT: I was contacted by Balkanfresh to address my concerns. They were very understanding of my frustrations, offered to make things right, and issued compensation for my troubles. This is the sort of customer service I'm used to having, and I'm glad we were able to talk this through to the satisfaction of everyone.

Horrible customer experience!!! My last order will be the last I ever make with them. Made an order for $200 something dollars. I live on the west coast, but they're located on the east coast. The only way to ship (and you have to pay for your own shipping) is ground. Think about that... summer months... perishable food items... ground... Long story short, UPS screws up, I call Balkanfresh to inquire and express my concern about the food. You can't talk to a person. You get an automated SMS, and then you talk to someone who clearly shows maturity in business dealings. I'm receiving a whole bunch of empty promises how they'll contact UPS for me and they'll call me back... nothing... radio silence... Today, after waiting for a week for my package (which I still have not received), I try again to resolve the issue and get a refund. A whole back and forth with someone hiding behind an SMS and who refuses to talk to me via phone... At last I gave up... I'm out $200, but hopefully, whoever is reading this... be warned...

Oh and Balkanfresh... if you're reading this... I hope those $200 was worth it because you lost a customer, and more importantly... the money... I hope it brings you no good whatsoever! May it perish in your hands as it has disappeared from mine! Amin!

I placed an order yesterday and it arrived today(I think I never received anything that quickly). They have a bunch of stuff that is really really nice. The customer service is 11/10 I‘ve never gotten so much help, they answer quickly and I couldn‘t find a product so they took the time to send me the links. I‘m very happy with the order & order again

I ordered Burek, Cheese, and Beef. I must say it was the worst I ever had. The cheese had a very low filling and was more salt than cheese. Beef burek was a little better tasting, but the overpowering onion was the unwanted taste. I had Burek in Croatia, Bosnia and I can tell you, this is NOT burek. It's a cheap replica of someone's idea of a burek. I had been a customer for many years with Balkan Fresh and I ordered other things but never have I been disappointed in a product like this. If you must have a burek, please make it yourself. You can find recipes on the net. PLEASE don't throw your money away on these.

I love the products I bought from BalkanFresh. They arrived quickly and unbroken.

The order was shipped quickly and arrived in 3 days. All the products were good except my olive spread. The can was smashed up but the product inside was not damaged. This was probably due to shipping. I will order again from this company.

These guys are terrific. Delivery runs like clockwork and they are responsive to email questions. I order a particular kind of feta I can't find anywhere else and they ship it out promptly and within packaging that keeps it fresh.

I have waited 36 years for these pickled green tomatoes I was looking and looking all these years trying to find what store down here or anywhere that would sell them and I had finally found you and believe me you are a God sent my sister and I both love the green tomatoes they are so delicious when we do finish them there will be another order I thank you so very much for this and I hope to be ordering from you again sincerely yours Edna Miller

Was looking to send a little something as a gift from afar when I found this store online! Amazing choice of food and brands, excellent and super quick delivery and the customer service was top notch! 10/10 would shop there again!

Last two times I purchased from them, they substituted a different product from what I ordered. First time I just accepted it. Last time they did this, I contacted them for a return, got an address to return to and shipped UPS. UPS attempted three times to make the return delivery after which they sent the shipment back to me. No offer of reimbursement for my shipping costs or any way to make it right from Balkan Fresh. They lost a customer because of a simple fix. Don’t buy from them.

Not sure what you’re referring to regarding tracking number. Why would I have provided with you with one? Look back on your reply to me in our email communication regarding the wrong order. On 26 March, you gave me an address to send the wrong part of the order back. That’s it. No prepaid shipping instructions or anything else, just an address. So I shipped it UPS since you originally shipped via UPS. So I tracked it as the sender and saw 3 attempts by UPS. Look back on our email thread. Oh, and at this point, I’m out $14.50…plus the original wrong part of the order.

Balkanfresh popped up on my Instagram and I had to look into it. At first I thought, “no way I can get a taste of back home all the way in Texas”. Well, I was wrong and am so happy with the way my order was handled and how fast it was delivered! I have been sharing the site and recommending to all my Balkan family because the service is great and the food is so fresh!

Nowadays is quite dangerous to go somewhere and buy food. Of course I go to the supermarket sometimes, however I'm so afraid of my safety and health that's why I much more often oorder food on websites. Last time I found this service and decided to test it. I have a new hobby, to test and check various food delivery services. At least it's the only amusement for me when I stay home.
I tried here to order some food and it took to me about half of an hour to choose which food I want and what do I need. I ordered and the delivery was quite fast. It was a real surprise, because when I ordered from other food delivery services, they delivered food within a day, while this one delivered within couple of hours.

Easy to navigate website, had my favorite products in stock, quick delivery and is the only European on-line food store that did NOT charge exorbitant shipping costs! Have used before this order and will definitely order from them again.
