Excellent product, disappointing customer-service experience
The seat covers themselves are excellent. The material feels very durable, the stitching and finish are very good, the fit is excellent, and the custom embroidered Nissan logo came out beautifully. The covers also retain useful vehicle-specific details such as the rear pouches on the front seats and the necessary cut-outs for latches and fittings. They even arrived in a dedicated carry bag made from the same ripstop material. On product quality alone, I would happily give five stars.
Unfortunately, the customer-service side of the transaction was a very different experience.
I contacted the company via WhatsApp simply to ask for a status update on my paid order after not receiving any communication. Instead of a straightforward update, the conversation became unnecessarily defensive and confrontational. Among other things, I was told that “last week has 7 days” when explaining when I had ordered, and later warned about “slandering” the company despite never having threatened to post anything publicly.
A few days later I was told that I had apparently been charged for a 5-seater even though the product I ordered was explicitly advertised on their website as a Nissan X-Trail 7 Seater, showing all three rows and a seating capacity of seven. My invoice reflected that advertised product and price and had already been paid in full. By this stage the covers had also already been manufactured. I was then asked whether they could send me an amended balance.
I declined and referred them back to their own product listing and invoice. To their credit, they ultimately agreed to honour the original invoiced price and proceeded with the order.
There also appeared to be some disconnect in the order-management process: before the covers had actually arrived, I received an automated email asking me to review them “now that [the order] has arrived.”
I want to be fair because the finished product is genuinely excellent and I am very pleased with the covers themselves. My reduced rating reflects the communication and order-management experience, not the workmanship of the product.
In short: excellent seat covers, but the customer-service and order-management side of the transaction could have been handled considerably better.
