They lose a lot of packages in different ways. Have had it stolen from a fedex truck, held at customs with no recourse (isn't the point of this to ensure it passes customs?), delivered to wrong addresses multiple times. You won't get a refund in any way from them for these problems but you can do a chargeback. The insurance is pointless, they keep the claim money and ignore you. If there's really no alternative, you can take a chance, it works sometimes, but they are pretty incompetent.

DO NOT USE AMERICA-SHIP. EVER. PERIOD. NOT WORTH IT. I have MANY experiences to justify this review. I'd used America ship regularly, for a year or so and I put up with a LOT of crap from them because it was the best way to get certain things from the US to Mexico while I was living there. The main things were that their customer service was awful, all the time- possibly the worst I've ever experienced, and they extorted extra money out of the shipping costs (saying the shipping was a certain rate, when really it was lower and they made a profit on it). Other things happened over the years, such as a packaged valued at over $400 usd was stolen from a Fedex truck on it's way to me and the only way to get any reimbursement from Fedex was to have America-ship, the shipper, file a claim. They refused. The owners exact words were, "it's not worth our time". I researched it, it only takes a few minutes. AND, it says on their website that they offer it as a service if a package is lost. I begged, they refused. I stopped using them after that and only needed to use them when recently a shipper accidentally sent my package to America-ship (an address listed on my PayPal), rather than than the address I filled out in the shipping form. I filed a shipping request and after one week it hadn't shipped (their website says 4-5 days I believe). I contacted them through WhatsApp, phone and email many times for two weeks with no response. Finally, they responded they lost a package(valued at $55 usd) They refused to pay me for the loss and also refused to refund me for the shipping I paid to have that package forwarded. They offered a store credit and that was all. Fortunately PayPal immediately processed my refund, however, I am still out of the $55 item they lost.

So, I shipped a box through them, and the processing of my package was extremely fast.
I wish they have a way to select a carrier when the package it’s on Mexico, because it took a lot to receive it.

I have send a receive a lot of packages throught them and I haven't had any issues.

I just received my first shipment through America Ship and the experience was great. The cost was as expected via their shipping calculator. It's a great option for people in Mexico buying from US retailers who don't ship there, and whose products are difficult or impossible to find in Mexico. That's what I used them for.
My delivery from the retailer arrived in Brownsville and I was notified by America Ship the same day, then I set up the Mexico importation and delivery address, and they invoiced me for the costs, with a clear breakdown based on the item value and the weight and box size.
Once the invoice was paid, it did take a few days for it to get through Mexico aduanas (customs), and then I could track it until it was delivered.
This experience was pretty much what I expected based on the company's website, and I'll be using them again. It does take more time than a direct shipment, of course.

I should mention that I tried to have a different retailer ship an order to America Ship before this experience, but that retailer had some kind of address blacklist, and they cancelled my order (multiple times) with no apologies - blaming my credit card company in fact. That's on the retailer and I'm still not satisfied with them for how they handled it, but there's nothing America Ship could do about that. Just be aware some retailers blacklist delivery addresses, not just for America Ship, and I'm not even sure why.

SCAM. Lost my inventories worth $800 without taking responsibility. Owner "Jet" took advantage of me as I am a young woman.

1) This is the worst feeling, to be taken advantage of because I trusted him.

The owner "Jet" asked me to talk to him via Wechat (instead of using his official email address for our communication) after he lost my 16 inventory items, he promised me to partial refund me, but turned out he just wanted to wait until 60 days from the date I paid him (as the legal minimum time limit for filing a credit card chargeback in the United States is 60 days). I trusted him, so I waited for the partial refund. After the 60 days, he just said he never promised to partial refund me and won't do it.

I feel used and exploited by this man, "Jet" from America-Ship Texas.

I am not sure where can I seek help, probably nobody can, but I just want to write this review to let you know the truth of what had happened. Please BEWARE.

Details:
1) Dec 5, 2021. I've paid this website $ 89.01 (Transaction ID: 23301), to ship 47 units of my inventory, but then they lost 16 units.
2) Jan 3, 2022. The owner "Jet" promised to partial refund me the service fee of the 16 lost units (see attachment for our conversation proof)
3) Feb 21, 2022. I emailed the owner "Jet Li" a final notice via email, he said he never promised to partial refund me. He refused to take any responsibility, refused to partial refund the transportation fee I paid him for that 16 lost items.
