Impossible to Use

For ~ 20 years I have appreciated using 123 Greetings It has many excellent features. Unfortunately in the past year it has become UNUSABLE. I have just tried to send a Birthday card 5 times- getting a bit further each time, before another ad appears, takes over the screen and when done- I have nothing- have to bring up the website again and start over. I was almost complete on try #5- then gone. This is the worst use of ads on any web site I have ever seen. It is almost unbelievably insane. Good buy 123 Greetings. Sorry!

Infected

I received a notification of a Christmas card from a friend via an email from 123greetings.com. I checked the email address carefully to verify it was the right domain and the friend also let me know separately that she had sent the card, so I know I clicked on a real email from 123greetings.com.

While waiting for the card to open, the browser page was redirected to virussweep.sa.com, which is a fake antivirus site full of alarming popups that try to scam you into believing you are infected and that you need to click on something or call a number to fix the PC, upon which you get the real malware download.

I closed the page and that was that (I also ran a couple of scans and all fine), but clearly this company can no longer be trusted to deliver greeting cards in a safe manner. I know for sure my in-laws would have panicked and clicked on one of the fraudulent links if this had happened to them. I will make sure to never use this site or open another email from them and have told my friend not to use them to send me greeting cards in the future.

Clicked on a free E card to send and before I had had the chance to say to whom to send it I got a message saying quick-tutor had done an active card check and would be taking £50pm. All without me visiting their site and now I haven't sent the E card. Looks like total scam. AVOID

I'm glad I'm not alone. I thought it was just me, but after reading a lot of recent reviews, I see this once helpful website has become a time wasting piece of AI garbage. I'll go elsewhere, or just cards the "old fashioned" way. I'm sure I'll have better results. Oh, and I see I have to use more "Trustpilot" to get this review to 123greetings. Forget it. They'll notice all the customers they're losing.

SHOULD BE LESS THAN 0 STARS!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Today was the 1st birthday my dad had without his wife (of 45 years) who passed away 4 months ago. The first thing he does every morning is check his email. I wanted to try to start his day with a smile because I knew he was going to be extra sad, and feeling the absence of his wife even more. So, I sent him an eCard using 123Greetings.com. He is very computer literate, extremely smart, and even though he turned 81 today, he is still sharp as a tack! So I'm confident this WAS NOT a user error situation! As soon as he clicked on the "download and view card" the link downloaded a ton of software, and made several changes to his desktop. Plus he never was able to "just" view the card. He was so upset, angry, and frustrated that he dropped his glasses, which broke them. What should have helped make his day a little brighter, ruined most of it. I WILL NEVER use 123Greetings.com again!

I have used 123 greetings for decades now it is a waste of time!

Have used 123 greetings for decades now it has become a useless piece of unusable site ads pop-up covering the information you need to put in. It keeps on resetting I’ve spent a half hour trying to send a card when before it was all automated you would think that was AI and all the improvements that they would’ve improved not declined. I have to now say I will never ever go to 123 greetings again. It is a total waste of time and very poorly accessible. Ads block where you need to send text.

These fake sites are illegal and unfortunately becoming more common. 123greetings itself is still completely free to send ecards – no payment required for standard cards. We never ask for credit card information just to send a greeting.

SCAM!!!!!!!

SCAM!!!!!!!! Do not open! A friend Of my mom's just sent her a greeting card from there. When she opened the link for a card, it launched a virus that locked her computer and gave her a phone number to call. It said it was a phone number for Apple, but of course it was scammers. Beware!

To be very clear: 123greetings does NOT intentionally send viruses or lock computers. What you described – a locked computer with a fake Apple support number – is a classic malicious ad redirect or a spoofed email pretending to be from us. Scammers sometimes fake our brand name to trick people.

That said, it happened because your mom clicked a link that came from somewhere claiming to be us. We take full responsibility for the fact that our free website’s ad network has allowed bad actors to slip through. That is unacceptable.

What we have done to fix this:

New email templates – All legitimate emails from 123greetings now use verified, secure links that are clearly marked and cannot be spoofed easily.

Stricter ad screening – We are aggressively blocking malicious domains.

I am so disappointed with this company

My husband and I are so disappointed with this company. We were hoping we could send e-cards to Facebook friends, and many of us don't know contacts emails, or phone numbers!
We would also have appreciated a notification before they took the 49.95 out of our account! (Some of us live busy lives and get distracted!) ...of course, there are no exceptions (or understanding) so we can get a refund!

Beware!!

Signed up for free 7day trail and then had money deducted from my credit card for a n unwanted 12 month subscription. I have contacted 123cards twice regarding refunding my money with no response.

We have never offered a free trial, nor do we charge for subscriptions or take any credit card payments for sending cards. What you’ve described sounds like a different company – most likely 123cards.com or another similar-sounding service – which does offer trials and auto-renewing subscriptions.

We understand how confusing this is. The similar names have caused many people to accidentally contact us about charges from other companies. We hate that you’re caught in the middle of this.

Check your credit card statement – Look for the exact merchant name (e.g., “123cards” or something else). That will tell you who actually charged you.

I have sent cards from 123 Greetings but as of now the card I created yesterday and has not been delivered. It keeps saying it’s processing.

You were right to be disappointed. A card that stays stuck on "processing" for an entire day, with no delivery and no reply from Customer Service, is unacceptable – then and now. We failed you, and we apologize.

Our Customer Service team has expanded, and we respond to most inquiries within 24 hours.

Waste of time

I used to be a happy user of 123, but due to private reasons I have not used it for some years. So today, I decided to start up again, but it was impossible to make my account work. It kept saying that I had to fill in missing dates, but they were all there, and when saving my data, it deleted all the data I had put in. I even tested it by putting in the data of just one person, multiple times, but the same hing kept happening.

You are right to be upset. Filling in your information, only to have the page delete everything or insist on missing dates that were clearly filled in, is incredibly frustrating – and a complete waste of your time. That should never happen.

What likely caused the issue:

Browser cache or cookie conflicts – older saved data from years ago may have been interfering with our updated website.

Form validation glitches – we did have some technical issues with account/profile saving around that time, which we have since addressed.

Since your review, we have made important improvements:

Our account management system has been updated to be more stable and reliable.

Form data now saves correctly without disappearing.

Customer Service response times have improved significantly.

For a smoother experience going forward:
We highly recommend using our official mobile app (iOS and Android). The app is much more reliable than the website for creating and managing accounts. Even the free version of the app avoids the browser-related glitches you encountered.

No deliverane!!!!!

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with their servies as of lately. I scheduled a VERY important card to be DELIVERED on Mother's Day and they failed miserably to deliver it at all.... Ii am no longer using the "FREE" services. SHAME ON THEM!!!!!!

Accept Promotional Emails or Else

I've used them for years, but the email marketing was getting excessive. I was getting upwards of 10 emails a day at times, so I opted out. Now, I get messages telling me that my account is DND and I am no longer allowed to use their service.

You are absolutely right to be upset. Receiving upwards of 10 emails a day is excessive, and no one should have to tolerate that. Even worse, when you opted out, you were told your account is now "DND" (Do Not Disturb) and that you can no longer use our service. That is not our policy, and that should never have happened.

I want to be clear: Opting out of promotional emails does not and should not block you from using 123greetings to send cards. What you described sounds like a serious system error on our end, and we apologize for it.

What we have done since your review:

We have launched new email templates with clear, working unsubscribe links.

We have reduced email frequency dramatically – no more than a few per week for active users.

We have fixed the "DND" account block issue so that opting out of marketing does not affect your ability to send or receive cards.

123 Greetings.com took £26 from my bank account although the website says the cards are free. I don't know how they even got my bank details. Very concerning

Sent a lot of e-cards for Christmas, due to postal strike, and all cards sent. I've never been asked to pay and I have used this Company, on and off, for years. Some recipients have not opened their cards but, as i found out recently, it could be that with so many scams going around, the recipients are wary of unknown emails. I have always been advised if a card hss not been viewed.
