Engaged Wright Surveys for a homebuyers report for a property purchase. Right from the start I found Andrew professional, knowledgable and timely in his dealings with me. The report flagged a few further areas that needed specialist inspection. We arranged these and Andrew was more than happy to answer any questions I had related to these – even though he had fulfilled the service I had engaged him for. It's reassuring that in this day and age of technology, you can still pick up the phone and have a chat like humans. Happy to recommend and would use again if needed!

I used wright surveyors for a property that fell through, but when I got another one, I went back to them. From the first call to when the report arrives, the process is professional and timely. The reports are thorough and detailed. The language used is simplified such that one can easily understand it. I would greatly recommend them.

We didn't go ahead with our home buyers report in the end as unfortunately, our purchase fell through. However, we were very happy with the service and communication from Wright Surveys.

The vendors changed their minds on the day of the survey and turned the surveyor away at the door. We had no idea or indication this was going to happen. Given the difficult and upsetting circumstances, Andrew and Joanne were great and kindly provided a full refund. We would have been happy to re-book, however we needed a full snagging survey done on a new build which they don't cover.

I’m writing this review to warn others about my experience following a survey carried out on a bungalow arranged through Andrew Wright,The survey cost me £540 and unfortunately it failed to identify serious issues.A major leak was discovered in the bathroom which had already caused extensive damage spreading into hallwall,kitchen floor and wall between kitchen and bathroom.As a result I had to deal with three rows of tiles coming off the bathroom wall complete replacement of bathroom flooring new kitchen flooring and damage to both kitchen and bathroom units.
This turned into a full insurance claim the property required two months drying with industrial humidifiers running 24 hours a day on top of that, repointing of the DPM had to be carried out something Mr Wright later admitted had been missed in survey.
Despite the scale of problem and cost involved
(£600 out of pocket not including insurance claim,I was offer just £100 in compensation.
It’s also worth noting that Andrew wright did not personally carry out the survey someone else did.I suggested sending another surveyor to reassess the issues but this offer was not taken up.
I was also told that insurance companies are awful at paying out and would likely look for ways to avoid responsibility, with the implication that the burden would fall on me as the buyer.In reality my insurance company did pay out.
Overall the experience has been stressful costly and avoidable had the survey been thorough.I would not recommend using this service others may have been lucky not to encounter issues but my experience suggests serious gaps in the survey process.
I hope this helps others make a more informed decision.

We had a fantastic experience working with Andy and Jo. As first time buyers we didn't entirely know what to expect (we were referred by the estate agent), but their communication was excellent and Andy took the time to explain everything to us and to offer very honest and genuine advice which we hugely appreciated. We did shop around a little bit, but Wright offered the best value for money, were the most communicative, and offered by far the best turn around (providing us with the report within a couple of days). Would thoroughly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

Clear, easy communication and very thorough report supplied. Recommended by our solicitors after we had got a few quotes elsewhere, and Wright's not only were the best value, but also offered the fastest turnaround - delivering the report just a day after the survey - another local firm wanted 2-3 weeks to deliver the report post-survey! I have been a difficult client to please due to my very picky attention to detail and most probably fact that I am perusing same career path which makes me a bit of a perfectionist in terms of reports layout.
However, I want to put down my accurate experience to help however is in doubt of whether or not use Andrew services, they worth every penny.
Originally I was unhappy with a few things on my report and Andrew got back in contact and offered further assistance along with detail explanations of my queries. He has returned to the property and revisit my issues and offered me final clarity on the matter. I am quite pleased with the professionalism and turn around of the report as from the visit until it reached me it has only taken 24 hours which counts massively when you are in the buying process.
Highly recommending Wright Surveys to anyone needing a great surveyor and I most probably return as a customer in the future.
