Bufffalo/Bison is more tender than beef and provides a wonderful alternative to beef, which is under fire due to deforestation and the making of grasslands for them. Buffalo/Bison just wander and do not overgraze and don't need to be fed. I love everything at this on line store, and very thankful it is delivered to my door. It is funny, but I got onto this also for my kitty who is suffering from IBS and was skin and bones. She can only eat one kind of sensitivity canned cat food, but chows down on this Bison. She is now big and fluffy and very spoiled. It is so great to enjoy something without all the guilt. Thank you very much for this wonderful product. My kitty and I are very thankful. I will order all the time. Those steak strip snacks are a killer!!!!

After reading "Buffalo For the Broken Heart," and learning how the bison are killed (not in a slaughterhouse), decided to try, because that's my main issue with eating meat - the horrible conditions of the slaughterhouses.

Well, yum. The best buffalo I've had (and buffalo is what we eat for red meat). It arrived perfectly frozen; it was tender and juicy and sweet. These were the 5 oz. sirloin tenderloins, and I'll come back for more. The perfect size and the flavor is outstanding. So happy to have discovered Wild Idea.

This product is delivered quickly, safely and solidly frozen, well packaged. Finally, a red meat product that you can trust - the treatment of these animals is essential to the quality of the meat. The recipes available online show how you can integrate buffalo into your old family recipes, with good spicing and marinating suggestions. I bought the January special as a gift for my son and his family. Its a gift of better health.

In the super early 2000's, while traveling across Wyoming on a motorcycle, I picked up a paperback book at a local hotel. Something I often do when traveling.
The book was "Buffalo for the Broken Heart", by Dan O'Brien. It was a good read and told a good story.
Turns out, the author of this book is the Wild Idea guy and we share similar philosophies on sustainability and other things.
I've been buying meat from Wild Idea ever since.
I pay a little bit more for buffalo than I do for beef.
I pay a little bit more for Wild Idea buffalo than I do for buffalo at the local grocer (when I find it consistently).
But, what I rest assured in, is the philosophy of Wild Idea. And that, to me, is a component of me doing my part as a steward of the Earth.
And Wild Idea buffalo is excellent in flavor, much richer in color than mass produced buffalo.
I'm a repeat customer and intend to remain so - I've got 42 pounds of it in the freezer right now!

I have only had time to fix the hot dogs but so far I am very very impressed! Shipping was quick and everything was still frozen when it arrived.

It came shipped with ice. Still completely frozen. Amazing because I was at work all day.

I got ground beef, organ meat, and some type of steak I can't remember. I bought this because I took a blood Serotype test and my type handles bison better than beef.

I don't even miss the beef. I'm really enjoying it. It just feels healthy going down. Enriching. And I feel happy I'm contributing to the highest ethical practices.

Ordered the starter bundle package. Knew from the time that I placed my order when I would receive it via FedX. Arrived as described and completely frozen. Cooking instructions came with the package or there are recipes available on the website. Have only had a chance to try the burgers and they were delicious. Can't wait to try more of the products!

My order was handled promptly. Shipping was as promised and the meat arrived still solidly frozen. Yesterday I served 17 of us with the 10 lb. prime rib roast which was done perfectly and with plenty of leftovers. All raved about the meat! I used the suggested rub and roasted on onions and celery as suggested. Results: tender, delicious and beautiful slices. It was a special treat. Loved the items I ordered. Tried a variety of buffalo...two types of snack sausages, breakfast sausage, and bacon. So far have tried only one but it was delicious. Packaged very well and the package arrived on time. Very happy overall with the service.

I ordered on the 14th. Was told I need to change address on 17th. So I did come to find out it was sent to the address they said I couldn't use in the first place. It didn't make it in time for Christmas even with a 10 day window.. I order from these guys as a gift. I will now be taking my business elsewhere

Easy ordering. I am guessing the product got to the recipient because I have not heard from them. I just wish I had requested the free steak. I would have loved to try it myself…I will be ordering some for myself in the near future.

The only red meat I eat is buffalo. I have to drive an hour to the only store around that sells it. Needless to say, because you deliver, I took the chance on your company. I couldn't be happier!! Not only does the meat taste great, but it arrived on time and packed so perfectly! The size of the "steaks" are a bit small, but that's really a moot point at this time! And yes, I will be purchasing more, including a heart for summer barbecuing!
