Absolutely amazing experience with my first order!
I just received my first order and couldn’t be more pleased! I was a little skeptical like anyone may be for the first time especially since I live in Connecticut. Quite a ways from Colorado. I ordered over $300 to allow for free shipping and my 8 pounds of elk ribeyes arrived completely rock solidly frozen. No would very much recommend using elk usa. Can’t wait to order other options!! Thank you!!

The meat came in frozen and exactly…
The meat came in frozen and exactly like I expected. The flavor is amazing and it’s an easy meat to cook. I made a roast with it and I cooked some in wild grain rice and cream of mushroom soup for a wild game supper and all I brought back was empty containers. Elk USA is great to work with and I’ll definitely be making future purchases with them.

Nose-to-tail awesomeness
I have been a customer of Grande Natural Meats (a.k.a. Elk USA) for over ten years. I love game meat and their product has always been of a very high quality. I have never, not even once, had an order arrive that was not still fully frozen. I am also a very thrifty shopper and have been frustrated by shipping costs, too. Before COVID, I would usually place an order in the Spring and one in the Fall when the temperatures are cool enough to use UPS Ground. I am hoping I can return to that method once we survive the pandemic. One of the things I most appreciate about Grande Natural Meats is that they offer nose-to-tail products, such as hearts, livers, neck roasts, soup bones, dog food, etc. For the reviewer that loves Sayersbrook, glad you like them but they do not offer these products. Recently, I purchased a whole elk liver - 7lbs! I cut it up into 1 lb. packages and refroze it. It is delicious as heck and reminds me of my grandma's venison liver recipe. Thank you for all that you do Grande Natural Meats!

Recieved a gift certificate for $100…
Recieved a gift certificate for $100 and didn't use it right away. When I found it and tried to order I was told that their policy is a two year expiration date for gift certificates.Federal Law states five years and nowhere on the certificate or the web site do they state this policy. When I stated this to them they said for private business they can do whatever they want....so basically they stole $100 and lost a future customer. Great business practice!!!

Very friendly and high quality with wide selection of meats
Very friendly and helpful staff called me to help with my order and gave me all the details about my order and helped me to save money with the shipping all the way to Florida. My package arrived today in excellent shape.. everything still frozen, clean, and intact with a lovely new calendar 😊 this will be my go-to place for game meat as I’ve had at least 2 orders from fossil farms that came with blood leaking in their packages before. Yes the shipping is expensive but that is because of the UPS charges and not the company’s fault. I happily ordered a few more packs to make the shipping charges worth it and I am thrilled with the quality of my items 🥰

Poor, just poor
Make sure you don't give a bad review or Rich will just provide you with snarky passive aggressive remarks and then end with a "hope you buy from us again in the future". Nope sorry, I ordered a rack of white tail ribs and when I called to set up the shipping and handling the woman I spoke to said it would be $111.00 haha the ribs themselves were like $13. When I said dang that kind of shipping cost isn't exactly posted everywhere on the website, the woman gave me a quick sly remark under her breath "actually yes it is." Sorry honey but it just says shipping can be expensive. I guess the only way to find out just how expensive the shipping cost per pound is, is to make an order. Cancelled that order right away and will not be making another one. Not impressed by the customer service. Not impressed by the secretive shipping cost. Not impressed by the way the General manager conducts himself with his responses to customers. Bad business model all the way around.
*edit: received my response from my boy Rich. No sir, Shelly did not simply "point out that disclosure". She was rude and that's bad business. And my original comment was that shipping costs of that amount are not posted anywhere on the site, just that it can be expensive( whatever that is supposed to mean). And the only way to find out how much it will be is to order it and then call. Your website is deceitful when it comes to actual shipping costs. Does not explain any of the stuff you disclosed in your review response. Don't even try that junk with me. You know you're wrong.
** You are just a grown up child who refuses to acknowledge the shortcomings of his company. And your website looks like it was put together by a 7th grader, my boy.

You apparently have read my firm response to a perceived, unfair Trustpilot review, but have ignored our many, many positive reviews. For over 20 years, we have shipped unusual frozen meat products all over the USA, and have thousands of happy customers. When we get an Internet order, we follow up with a call to EACH customer personally to determine their particular shipping conditions. Every order is different. We encourage advance “800” call-ins when small amounts or unusual shipping conditions exist.
We do not charge your card until an Internet order is confirmed, cost estimate accepted, and the box is ready to ship.
In this case, I regret that you have discovered the realities of frozen meat shipment. Your order number 196314 requested 3# of whitetail back ribs shipped from Colorado to South Carolina in August. As per the website and order confirmation page, we disclose " CAUTION: Shipping less than 10 lbs of frozen meat is difficult and expensive! " Our sales rep, Shelly simply pointed out this disclosure. Basically, 3# of meat (particularly with bones) will not stay frozen unless it is shipped overnight with abundant dry ice or gels inside a thick, insulated cooler box, hence, the $110 shipping cost verses $13 meat value. Definitively, this was not a logical shipment for you, or us. Ordering more poundage of frozen product, so as to have a more massive cold sink, allows for shipping in 2, 3 or even more days which results in significantly decreased shipping cost per pound.
edit: "my boy" here again. Brian, other than generalities, you are correct in that the website does not address these various shipping issues in advance, accept for our disclosing " CAUTION: Shipping less than 10 lbs of frozen meat is difficult and expensive! " , and you had a small order. We encourage and maintain respectful, advance dialogue to help fulfill a customers needs. Shelly (aka "honey") apologies for any offense taken.
Please know, we do not inflate the meat cost to hide any shipping costs. A customer's Internet order is approximately the same per pound price as our on-Ranch Store, but exclusive of the transport cost. One can, however, call in advance of an order to check probable shipping costs. Our customer's shipping cost is simply our costs passed along.
Unlike mass shipping of non-perishable items, each frozen order can be radically different in shipping conditions. Obviously, Montana in Summer is much easier(and cheaper) than Miami in the Summer. Besides the website disclosures, on the order page it says shipping "2 B determined Web-Tel-Email". We are not hiding anything since WE TALK to virtually ALL frozen meat customers in advance. So, from our perspective, we are pretty open about our business procedures. On Frozen orders, no one is charged until they give their permission in advance.

Yesterday I placed an order for Bison Sampler. Elk states will call with order confirmation number shipping info. Never received a call. I called today to follow up. When I enquired regarding shipping, they stated shipping would be over $100 for 2 day delivery. I cancelled order and placed it with Sayersbrook, free shipping and added Elk. Immediately received receipt/ confirmation. Will continue to buy from Sayersbrook. Awesome service.

Dependable shipping method. We bought 40lbs and had it three day ground shipped to NYC. My fingers almost fell off loading into freezer from how ice cold the meat was.
We are now frequent buyers. Pricey but healthier than factory farm. Buy in bulk!

We are sorry that Mr. Endsley abruptly discovered the reality of shipping frozen meat across the continent. As such, we believe this negative review is bit unfair. Obviously, to prevent thawing, only 2 pounds of meat MUST go overnight Air delivery, a very pricey necessity when you consider the UPS Next Day Air charge, the insulated box and the dry ice needed to prevent thawing.
As we state on the website, numerous times, shipping small quantities of meat is difficult for us and expensive for you. Our specialty meat prices are some of the lowest in the industry and, when ordered in larger quantities, such as those that can be shipped by Ground UPS shipping, we are the best option.
A preliminary order email is generated and sent to the customer upon ordering. It describes the shipping charge "As to be Determined via Email or Telephone". Upon receipt, we then address the shipping charges and the options available in a personal call to EACH customer ordering frozen product
Further, we even have free shipping on some non-perishable items. Hopefully, Mr. Endsley will reconsider his critique and perhaps try a purchase with more frozen meat bulk to it.

Order arrived in good shape
I placed my order and it missed coming to my home by one day because the address had been messed up so I drove down to the UPS office and pick it up. When I got it I was surprised at how well it was wrapped and how it would stay frozen for another 2 days or more, so I could have waited one more day for normal deliver.

Good deal to buy bulk, will buy again. Will examine them more closely as one or two of them seemed to be discolored compared the rest and our dog for some reason did not touch them.

My dog says thank you!
My vet recommended using Dawgeez. My dog has a spinal cord injury and experiences discomfort daily. She has been taking Dogeez for about 2 years now, along with some other supplements. Her level of discomfort has noticeably decreased.
I have recommended this product to others, and I really believe it has made a huge difference in my dogs quality of life.

The price of shipping was almost the same and the price for the meat and when you are waiting for 2 or 3 day that is to much. if you find a way to lower the shipping I may buy from you again.

Bob: Thank you for your 5 lb. elk steak order. As per your telephone approval, your order was shipped overnight the first day available after speaking with you. We always contact customers in advance for the approval of shipping frozen products. Unfortunately, shipping a small steak order from Colorado to New Jersey was quite expensive, and we understand your frustration with the "at cost" UPS fee. A small amount of frozen meat is difficult to keep frozen when crossing the USA unless we use UPS air shipments which can get almost prohibitively expensive. Unlike most meat purveyors we invoice shipping costs as an extra cost to our reasonably priced game meats, (actually, the same price as our ranch store). For East Coast customers, we would recommend a larger amount of meat (over 25 lbs) that can travel three days, thereby decreasing the “per lb.” shipping cost significantly.
