Their customer service is a nightmare! My elderly mother bought 2 pairs of shoes from them. They actually weren't wide (as advertised). Their site states easy returns. FALSE! Their phone number is jus... Vis mer

ABSOLUTE SCAM
ABSOLUTE SCAM - BEWARE !!!!
They offer a refund - but the address in the UK they give you does not exist (tried to confirm it on Goggle Maps) and the address on their website in New York is an art supply shop.
If the shoes fit you - great, but I found them narrow and smaller than described. Great wording on their website and smart to advertise a USA address but it is all a lie. Shoes were sent to me from China. You will pay the postage to return the product to the UK, but as the address does not exist you will have the product returned and then silence from WideStep and never receive your refund.
Buyer Beware!
Beware! This company sent a faulty address for our return! Cost us over $30 sending the pair of shoes back to them in the UK! Then… surprise! The shoes came back to us with a postal note of “address unknown.” We’re stuck with a crummy pair of shoes which do not fit!
I ordered shoes from Wide Step in good…
I ordered shoes from Wide Step in good faith. The shoes did not fit, and I contacted customer service, who sent me instructions to return the shoes to the United Kingdom as instructed (at a cost of $31.95) from the United States, and I was promised a full refund as soon as I sent the tracking number and the shoes had arrived and been inspected. I followed the instructions exactly, but the shoes came back to me two weeks later. I notified wide step customer service and asked for a full refund. They have only offered me half of the cost of the shoes as a refund, and refuse to reimburse me for the shipping cost. I wish I had read earlier reviews. Each time there is a negative review, they deny having sent anything to that customer. They are also mentioned in the United States Better Business Bureau listing as reporting to be a New York company, when an actuality, they are in the United Kingdom.
Roomy Toe Box But No Support
The toe box is roomy and fits without any toe overlap or pushing on the sides. The support is very weak and I could not wear for any extended time outdoors or while standing at work. I didn't realize these came from China or I would not have ordered due to excessive delivery time. I wish I had done my due diligence before falling for the Facebook ad
Noisy Sandals by Wide Step!
I recently purchased a pair of Sunset sandals and I’m really disappointed.
They look good but the noise they make when walking is horrible. Everyone can hear you coming. It’s embarrassing!
Laughably bad experience
Same as the other reviews, with an extra laugh -- this "Widestep" company sent me shoes with the narrowest toe box I've ever seen! Way too painful to wear.
They offered me a 20% discount (which they claim is a special offer, but it's obviously standard based on reviews here) to avoid high international return shipping costs.
These are NOT wide shoes
I need wide shoes and have searched all over for golf shoes and regular shoes that fit my feet. I have not found any. When I heard of Widestep I took a look but fortunately I looked before I bought. Their size chart is no different than any other size chart. I need 9.5 or 10 mens with a width of 4e or 5e. They are no longer made the best I can figure but if anyone can point me to a company I would check. This company is not one to order from based on the information provided on their own website.
Ridiculous return process.
Sneakers are like clown shoes. Return process is ridiculous. They offered me a 20% refund of the $118 I paid, I keep the sneakers that I cannot wear. Or, they give me a 70% coupon to buy more sneakers. Or pay to ship them back to China. I’ll have to chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. Order wisely.
Do Not Buy from them!!!!
If I could post negative stars, I would do that do not buy from this company first of all their shoes are like orthopedic shoes then you try to return them and they have to be returned to the United Kingdom and shipping from the United States would be $75 so you can never return these shoes for a refund do not purchase from them
Ridiculous Return Policy
My wife purchased a pair of shoes because she has a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. When they arrived she was happy how they looked but unfortunately she can't fit into them. Then major problems. Company did no want to take them back. They didn't fit, not because size was wrong or they weren't wide enough. My wife needs a high box to compensate for hammer toes. None of these shoes would have a high enough box to accommodate her . First she heard nothing from company. When they finally responded they offered a large discount off buying another size. Obviously they didn't pay attention to her email. When they finally said she could mail them back in original packing, they warned it might be expensive. The return address was from England. The estimated cost to return them- over $30 for a shoe that cost $69. Plus I have zero confidence they would credit her account once we did return them. A "store credit brings us back to original complaint- box isn't high enough.
Made in China
I saw an ad on FB and ordered. They eventually came in. They are definitely wide toe box with zero drop but they are flimsy and cheaply made! When I tried to return them I discovered they are made in China and I was told I’d have to pay shipping TO CHINA in order to get a refund!! Don’t be fooled by the NYC address. Learned my lesson NOT to order from an ad on FB!!
Same as others
I ordered two pairs in February. They did not fit despite me following their directions. They were too long. Due to their gaurentee I contacted customer service. Just like the others, they told me I would have to ship them to Chiba, something they conveniently forgot to include. They offered me 70% off a new pair of shoes with a smaller size. The shoes are cute but the soles are thin with no support. I wear them when I do not need support.
Would give zero stars if I could.
I had the same experience as Ms. Simmons. Ordered shoes from them, based on their promise of a money back guarantee. The offer also stated buy 2 get one free. I was charged for 3 pairs. They did not fit and I cannot wear them. The base of the shoes is a poor design with inadequate support. Instead of honoring the terms they advertised, they offered me a 30% refund. Or the option of paying to send them to China. This is a very unethical company and I urge people to avoid doing business with them. The level of dishonesty is appalling.
It is quite interesting that despite their party line of telling dissatisfied customers they have to pay to ship the shoes to China, when I examined the package they came in, it shipped from southern California--Not China!!
60-day money-back guarantee requires customer to return the shoes to China!
I purchased Widestep shoes online, based on their website that said the shoes would come with a 60-day money back guarantee. The website did not indicate that if I returned the shoes, I would need to pay for the shipment to China.
I spent hours calling and e-mailing the company asking for the address for returning the shoes.
When I was given the shipping address in China, I said "Shame on you for not being upfront on the website about the need to ship to China."
The WideStep response: "For this case, we can offer you a 30% refund. Is that acceptable to you?"
My response: "No, this isn't acceptable."
I urge others to not do business with this company.
