David, thank you for recommending us so highly! The best part of this appreciation coming from you is that we have worked on so many artworks together since 2019, thus these words and you continuing to work with us are not only the best compliment but also drives us to do more. We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to leave this review for us at WhataPortrait.com. We hope we keep up the trust you have shown in us and go a long way together.
oil painting for my niece
Whataportrait did an oil painting of my infant nephew who passed away on Feb. 8th. I had the painting done for my niece and her husband. The painting was amazing. You could not see any differences in the picture and the painting other than the things I asked to have omitted. My niece and her husband absolutely love the painting and I'm sure will treasure it for a lifetime. Thank you Whataportrait for the awesome work and amazing customer service. If I ever need another painting or drawing, you will be my go to company. I will also be recommending you to any friends or family members who have similar needs.

We are truly grateful to you for taking out your time and sharing your appreciation for us at WhataPortrait.com. We are sorry for the loss and feel fortunate that we not only were the chosen ones for this artwork but were also able to justify the trust you have shown in us by choosing us to work with. We truly hope that your niece and her husband would cherish the oil painting as a remembrance for a long time. It was a pleasure working with you and we cannot wait for more such oppurtunites in the future, Penny!
Great customer service
This is my 2nd project with what a portrait. I was extremely satisfied with my 1st project, which is why I used them again. On my second project, I had to ask for a few revisions, which they were able to accommodate. The final product for this project was good but not great this time around. If I had to do again, I would have chosen the color over the black and white for a portrait painting. I will definitely use them again for future projects. They have a stellar customer service team!

We are incredibly grateful to you for taking the time out to review us, Kia. It makes us truly happy reading your honestly-shared experience with us. We are thankful to you for helping us create the beautiful black-and-white oil painting. Due to the handmade and bespoke nature of our artworks, we are unable to switch to color painting once we have already started working on a B&W artwork as paints are rendered in layers so the colors need to be rendered from the first layer itself. Nevertheless, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and we would eagerly look forward to more such oppurtunities.

What made my experience GREAT is the consistent, free flow of communication and updates about the progress of the artwork during the process from beginning to the end.
The clear and continuous communication fostered confidence in the process and elevated my expectation and excitement about the finished work that gave me great pleasure in knowing that I had made an AWESOME decision in choosing a portrait as a gift to express heartfelt feelings to a friend.
Thank you so much for being a participant in an event that is going to warm the heart of a mother and friend. Words cannot express my gratitude.
The artist expertise and spirit of excellence to assure the satisfaction of reach customer is the hallmark of a GREAT company.
Blessings to All
Again, Thank You

We appreciate you sharing your feedback.
We always share a layout before starting work to notify how the elements and subjects in the artwork will be laid out as well as share a preview(picture of the completed artwork) for your approval prior to shipping and yours was not an exception. We also mention that we are unable to change or refer to completely new picture once we start working as that would mean rendering the artwork from scratch as this is a handmade piece of work and not a computer-generated print. As your satisfaction is a priority to us, we were willing to accomodate feasible revision requests, however, we had received a request to proceed with shipping. As revisions after completion of artwork is subject to feasibility and major changes are not feasible, we share layouts and start working only after receiving customer approval. We hope for your understanding and also hope that we arrive on a better understanding of expectations on both of our ends from our next projects.

We ordered a charcoal print for friends who recently lost their dog. The sketch artist captured the sweet dog’s eyes perfectly. The givers were thrilled, the recipients cried. They wished that the artist had signed their print. That would have been a nice touch…maybe even just a first name.

It means an immense lot knowing that we were the chosen ones for the charcoal sketch artwork of the pet that holds so much significants to you and the recipients. All our artworks are 100% handmade and not computer-generated prints. We hope that were able to create a special remembrance of the pet through our artwork. This reaction you mentioned between our clients who commission the artworks with us and their intended recipients of the artworks has to be one of the perfect ones and the kind of reactions that we work so hard for at WhataPortrait.com. We sign artworks only when we receive requests for the same from our client as most clients would not like signatures, etc on the artworks. For our next project together, please let us know if you would like artist’s signature and we will most certainly relay the request to the artist.
Service.
