Great place to start playing football for young children.

My son has been playing We Make Footballers for 2+ years now. We became disillusioned with other football clubs, my son lost interest after being continually neglected for better players.

Since day 1 with WMF at the Sevenoaks academy, he has enjoyed the football more, and he continues to improve.

The head coach is Gil Gomez. He is an exceptional teacher and passionate footballer! His technical expertise is top-notch, and he is an excellent communicator. Gil talks to the children constantly throughout the lessons, always giving feedback. The children are addressed individually by name, they are not just put in a group and left.

The coaches put in tremendous effort every week, and the focus on skills gives the children a solid foundation. The lessons are exciting and fun, and the background music adds to a great atmosphere. Every week the boys just want to continue when the lessons finish!

We have not looked back since day one, and quite a few friends have joined too (and stayed).

I cannot recommend Gil and the team at We Make Footballers highly enough.

My son has attended three football lessons with We Make Footballers Birmingham, and we are very impressed. From the very first session, he really enjoyed himself and told me he was playing with “the best team”!

The coaches are very knowledgeable and supportive. They teach great technical skills and help him improve while still making sure he’s having fun. We’re very happy with his progress and highly recommend the sessions.

I've watched each one at some point nurture, support and PLAY not only with my Grandson but all the boys that attend their training sessions and The Foundation League games.

My son really enjoys this football group (East Finchley) he is genuinely is looking forward to it each week and in a rush to make sure we are not late!
They focus on skill practicing- and give individual feedback, I see the coaches talking to parents which is really nice.
It’s easy to access, and lots of parking.
We go to the 7pm on Wednesdays which is a really convenient time for us.

We joined We Make Footballers in Cardiff (CF24) after meeting Leon, the head coach and franchise owner. Our son had previously been part of other football clubs, but we always felt the training and practice sessions weren’t quite at the standard needed to help him develop and move forward.

When we met Leon, it was clear he genuinely wants to make a difference. His passion, structure, and professionalism stood out immediately. Unlike some clubs where you simply pay subs and hope for the best, We Make Footballers delivers a truly organised, purposeful, and fun training environment.

Leon leads every session with precision and enthusiasm. Each part of the hour-long session flows seamlessly while he coaches, the other assistants are already setting up the next drill. There’s no wasted time; the players move from one exercise to the next within seconds. Every penny you spend feels invested back into the children’s experience and development.

As a parent watching from the sidelines, it’s honestly amazing to see. My children leave every session smiling, motivated, and fulfilled. The environment is fun but also focused on improvement a perfect balance.

Before joining, we spent two years with other clubs where my son’s team struggled to progress. Losing isn’t failure it’s part of learning but the lack of encouragement and structure really affected his enthusiasm. After moving to We Make Footballers, the change has been incredible. My son now finishes every training session feeling proud, challenged, and excited to go back.

If you’re a parent looking for a place where your child can truly develop their skills in a positive, engaging, and professional environment, I can’t recommend Leon and We Make Footballers Cardiff enough. This is more than just football practice it’s a foundation for real growth and confidence, both on and off the pitch.

Would recommend this club to anyone! The coaches are patient, want the best for the children! Instructions are clear & when the children walk into their session, there’s a board with what they’ll be learning for that session! My son has only been coming for 4weeks & I can already see the difference in him, having this extra training with the coaches! They are organised & training is never dull nor is it repeated! If you want a great training session for your children I would recommend “we make ballers” your child/children will leave happy!

My son Dominic is going every Monday at Strood Academy session for a year now and is very happy to attend and the coach is very helpful and friendly.

I like the part that Greatness enjoys coming for the trainings but I noticed he gets distracted especially when the trainers are giving instructions.

My two boys are currently with this academy, They are building more confidence and learning new skills.
The team is technically sound.

My two boys love their Saturday sessions! We can send them together at the same time, and at the field, each of them joins a different group that’s appropriate for their age.

I like that I can stay next to the field and watch both of them train — and cheer them on from the side. The kids really enjoy it because they get a good balance between focused technique training and fun mini-matches where they can apply their new skills.

The atmosphere during the sessions is fantastic! I look forward to it every week — seeing my kids train on the open field with real grass, upbeat music, and amazing coaches. I also appreciate that there are always at least two coaches per group, which means the children get plenty of attention and guidance. Super experience — we love it!

Both my sons (9 & 1 1 years) love football and have been eager to join a grass roots club but with supply and demand as it currently stands, this has proven difficult with both on lengthy waiting lists for a local club. After a Google search of the local area, I discovered We Make Footballers as an alternative opportunity to develop the skills of the game in a non-competitive environment.

Since August 2024, both my sons have been attending the Saturday skills development sessions at Aberdeen Sports Village and Since May 2025, the Sunday League sessions at Aberdeen Sports Village.

The Saturday sessions are skills based with a focus area for development through carousel drills followed by small team games which are mixed every week.

The Sunday sessions focus more on competitive and positional play with 1v1 games followed by a 30 minute match. Teams are mixed every week and there’s always a Player of the Match award. Those who attend gain points for themselves as individuals across the block and an overall winner given a trophy at the end.

I have been impressed by the very clear structure and smooth delivery of sessions each week which David clearly prides himself on. He is very approachable and always available to answer any queries.

For Saturday sessions, David always ensures parents are emailed each week to share how the sessions will look in terms of focus, related drills and benefits to the player. This is hugely helpful and allows you the opportunity to discuss this with your child/children.

The Sunday sessions have been incredibly beneficial for the boys to apply the Saturday skills in a more competitive environment which they have thoroughly enjoyed.

In both sessions, the coaches are high quality and interact well with the children. They pay attention to individual needs and give feedback in an appropriate, supportive manner. For many, you can see their passion for the game and for developing young talent. They work hard to enthuse and inspire to give youngsters the belief that they can be an amazing footballer if they work hard and have the right attitude.

Recently, one of my boys finally reached the top of their waiting list and has since joined a local club. We can now definitely see the impact of We Make Footballers as he has smoothly transitioned into grass roots football with a great skill set and increased confidence. For that alone, we are incredibly grateful to David and his coaches for their part in his footballing journey.

I would wholeheartedly recommend We Make Footballers. A fantastic organisation with the child at the centre.

My daughter goes to weekly lessons and really enjoys them and her football is definitely improving too. All the coaches are great with the kids.

This is an amazing Academy. The first day which was the free trial, my son was not confident because I have not been taking him out to play football but after the first day his confident and interest grew massively that he looks forward to the sessions, he has become my great little Footballer. The coaches are brilliant with the children. I would recommend We Make Footballers to everyone. Thank you for the good work, keep it up.

Incredible experience for the youth!

I highly recommend the club in Newham – there is so much positivity and dedication from the coaches! I’m truly impressed by their professionalism. I recommend it because it’s a wonderful place for children to train while having fun!
