Thanks for the wonderful review, Edward. You wouldn't believe how many insured patients don't realize that using the ScriptSave WellRx card instead of their health benefit can actually save them money on their out-of-pocket prescription costs.

Something else to keep in mind (for patients WITH insurance), is that manufacturers will often run their own copay assistance programs. You can find out about most of these manufacturer programs from the ScriptSave WellRx website. There's more info at the link below...

We know we can't help every patient with every medication and so, with human-nature being what it is, we often find that people are more likely to be vocal about the times we couldn't help. As such, comments like yours really do help us build trust among other patients. Very sorry to hear about your loss of health insurance (and the surrounding circumstances), but we're thrilled that the ScriptSave WellRx program has been able to help you save. Many folks see/hear details about the program but tend to get a little skeptical - feeling that it sounds a little too good to be true. As a result, they miss out. Thanks so much for finding the free prescription saving program from ScriptSave WellRx, Connie. We've pasted a link below that will likely help you avoid the situation you described in future. We email this article to all new members of our program but, of course, we do realize that not everyone opens or reads the communications that we send out.

That said, in the event that you might still be looking for assistance with your out-of-pocket costs, reading the few important hints/tips at the following link will certainly help to ensure a better experience with ScriptSave WellRx next time.

Long story short, if the pharmacy appears on our website, it's because they have signed a contract with us to provide access to discounted cash-prices for members of our savings program. However, as the article at the link below outlines, there are some important quirks to keep in mind as you use the ScriptSave WellRx program for the first time.

Needless to say, given that this is a free savings program, we know that we can't help every patient, with every drug at every pharmacy. However, we encourage as many folk as possible to keep an open mind and give it a try. If we can help, GREAT. If not, no hard feelings - especially as it costs the patient nothing to try, and it doesn't leave any patient worse off than they would have been without us.

Regarding Trulicity, you'll be able find our discounted rates for that particular medication if you visit the WellRx.com website and type it into the price-check tool. In fact, there are no excluded meds with our program so if you ever have difficulty finding a specific drug, please don't hesitate to reach out we'll point you in the right direction.

For pricey meds like Trulicity, although we are indeed able to provide discounted cash-prices, the final out-of-pocket cost may still come as somewhat of a shock. Such meds are extremely expensive to start with so, even after our discount, the final price might still be excessive. That said, keep an eye open for a button marked, "Other Ways To Save". When it appears, it will be in the upper-right part of the webpage, next to a piggybank icon. If there are manufacturer coupons available for a specific drug, you'll be able to access them from the "Other Ways To Save" link.

We hope to be able to earn an upgrade to a 5-star review from you in the near future.

We're THRILLED to know that our free ScriptSave WellRx program was able to help you save! We try to operate on a "no harm, no foul" basis. We don't charge patients any fees to use the program, and we publish all the prices we've negotiated (every drug, every pharmacy) on our website - making them fully accessible at no cost and without the need to provide any personal data. As such, we leave it up each individual patient to determine whether or not they think we can be helpful to them. And, because there's no limit on how much or little you can use the program, you're most welcome to dip in-and-out as it suits you.

If we can help (even if just a little), GREAT. If not, no hard feelings ... and, in this case, it sounds like we were able help - AWESOME :)

BTW, if you didn't already notice the "Price-drop Alert" feature of the ScriptSave WellRx program, you may like to check it out. In a nutshell, it allows you to get an automated alert from us anytime we negotiate a new price for a specific drug (at the pharmacies near you) that's lower than what you're currently paying. You can set up free price-drop alerts from the price-check page for each specific drug that you need.

Thanks so much for finding the ScriptSave WellRx program! The comment you made about sounding "too good to be true" is one that we deal with every day (and we've been doing this for more than a quarter century now - 26 years - so that's a LOT). You're certainly not the first person to have a similar experience such as the one you described and, sadly, we suspect you won't be the last. We can (and will) explain it but, unfortunately, we realize that the explanation is never what people really want to hear. For what it's worth though, here goes:

- When using the price-check tool on the ScriptSave WellRx website, it's absolutely critical to understand that entering the drug name and zip code is only the first step to getting an accurate estimate. The drug name that you enter will likely have many different strengths, as well as being available in a various quantities. There are also likely to be different forms of the drug (pills, tablets, creams, ointments, etc.), as well as the possibility of different manufacturers.

Because this leads to thousands upon thousand of different possible combinations, our price-check database needs to start narrowing things in stages. That's why we only start by asking the drug name & zip code. So then, when we show prices on the initial results page, those first results are for the most commonly-dispensed version of the drug being searched (i.e. the most common strength of the drug, with the most common quantity, etc.).

For most people, that's all they need to look at (because, by definition, the results are for the most common combination - so it applies to most people). However, when a patient's personal prescription is for a version of the drug that's not identical to the most commonly prescribed version, they need to take some additional (manual) steps in our price-check tool in order to get the correct results.

Towards the top of the results screen on the WellRx.com website, there's a summary of the drug details, together with a button labelled "Modify Search." Unfortunately though, a number of people don't realize this and so they never adjust the parameters of their search to match the details on their prescription. This can impact the price SIGNIFICANTLY ... but the first you might realize it is when the pharmacist floors you with shock.

There's a hints/tips sheet at the link we've pasted below. It outlines this phenomenon with a few screenshots. We email this guide to every new member ... but we realize that not everyone opens/reads such emails. Needless to say, please don't hesitate to Share the article - it might help someone else who's about to make the same mistake.
