Having not encountered one of your collectors as of yet ( to my knowledge) . It appears you have a greater number of negative reviews than positive, and the majority of your responses seem to be extremely childish , not the sort of response I would expect from a reputable organisation. You are constantly calling people a part of the “Walter Mitty club “ whatever that is ,when they post negative feedback and unsubstantiated claims , and yet you prove no evidence to prove the belong to this WMC ! I shall avoid donating anything to your organisation.

Utter scum. The fact that these con artists use stolen valour from real soldiers who’ve actually served their country is disgusting.

I came across a stand from this organisation and was interested when the guy manning it was talking to an elderly couple about his ‘service’ and the ‘trauma’ he and his mates had gone through. He was also pointing at copies of Soldier magazine that he had on the stand as ‘proof’ that they were working for veterans. When I asked him about his service I got ‘what is it to you’ with no further details when I explained that I had also served. The guy hid an id lanyard he had and continued being aggressive. Surprised, I did a bit of a search and found out that they are NOT A CHARITY, although they class themselves as ‘Community Interest Company’. Their accounts are very short on detail apart from moaning that ‘most of their income goes to the collectors’, which means their pockets and not any veterans. Would be interesting to see if ANY of their income goes to actually helping veterans for no profit. Think carefully before donating anything to them, I am sure they will be taking advantage of the run up to Remembrance to up their collections

There can't be anything lower than those pretending to be a charity when they are anything but.
Aggressive collectors hiding their ID badges, targeting the elderly and trying to sell forces magazines who do not wish to be associated with them.
My encounter at Waterloo Station shocked me. The collectors obviously had never served but were claiming to have done.
Unfortunately a zero star review option isn't available so I have had to give them 1 star, 1 too many.

Got asked to donate by two blokes who where from this place I told them no thanks as I was still serving a the time and was reasing money for another charity to which one of them got aggressive and told me I should be ashamed of my self for still having two legs and been able walk.

A total scam, ripping off the vulnerable to line the pockets of a work shy, sponging, criminal low life.

Blatant scammers pretending to be a charity supporting Veterans - lowest form of live I've ever come across

These do not represent any service persons, just look at the hidden mickey mouse list of front end companies and 'charitys'
They even want £32k to convert 3 boats to home homeless vets, where the heck are you going to put these boats??? Who will pay for the moaning fees? The maintenance and the insurance.

Do your homework before you donate a single penny. This group?? I came acros this group recently ,had my suspicions so on doing my homework, found they are going viral across genuine veteran support organisations or interest groups etc. Just look at the number of responses they are having to make to the ever growing negative reviews,here !! Running a simple check on so called positives reviews was interesting.

Would the real Slim Shady please stand up. Oh OK, just Shady then, Shady as fu*k. Just take that tenner out of your wallet and set fire to it otherwise you're just putting it in their pockets and their pockets only. Steer clear, don't donate and report these scammers.

Don't confuse these scammers with a charity, they take your money through false pretences and it goes to good causes - their pockets.

Do not donate to this so called 'veterans charity' they are clearly scammers. As a female trying to address some of the issues with Ben mills he tries to undermine and bully women, veterans and the general public.

Edit - As you requested my info but dont seem to do that with the male respondents on here, it actually proves my point. As I have previously had very abrasive communication from Ben Mills on a social media site I am not prepared to share further info with you, despite the fact my review is likely to be removed if I don't. If it was an isolated incident where you were verbally abusive then you will remember, but I doubt it was.

These low-life are conning you! They are not a charity, they do not represent former British servicemen also known as veterans. They do not represent us, they are not endorsed my any military or former military organisation. Do not give them any money whatsoever, it goes into their pockets - nothing goes to veterans. These scammers are only helping themselves to money... DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY OR ANY CASH!! Report them to the local council Trading Standards, take photos as evidence.... !

Don’t get sucked in like I did.

Ben Mills who owns We R Blighty and Veterans in Need is just after ya money. I had fallen on hard times after being kicked out of the PWRR for failing a CDT. Ben said he could help me and did put me up in a boat. I could stay as long as I liked but only if I worked for him and that’s were he draws you in.
Each of us were collecting around 6 to 7 hundred a day, we only see a very small fraction of that as been and his brother hoover up the rest.

He gets you to swap between his two scams and we were told not answer any questions if asked.

There’s about ten to 15 of us up and down the Kent to London line. Most of the guys are not veterans, but mates of bens who’s been involved with similar fund raising scams. I started to see the other side of Ben when buckets we’re getting light and he started accusing us of stealing from them. Not his mates, just the veteran he’s supposed to be helping. He can get quite nasty with his threats if you don’t toe the line.

The second I told him I did not want to do it anymore I was fired and told to leave the boat by 6pm with no pay after I had worked a week.

Do not trust with your money and to other veterans who need help stay away from him, he will use you and you will find it hard to brake away if dependent of him.
