I used Watermans shampoo everyday for 6 months, but my hair has remained thin around the crown of my head. My wife's observation skills are unsurpassed, and she has seen no difference at all. My hair remains thin with lots of see-through to my scalp, as per 6 months ago, so I will not be repeating my purchase. I've found off-the-shelf hair thickening shampoo's from Tesco's give a better result.

I used the shampoo for nearly a year, don't come at me with temporary shedding. I don't believe your 5-star reviews are real.

Terribly regret using their products! I used Grow Me shampoo, conditioner and serum for months. Didn't particularly notices excessive shedding, I guess it happened slowly overtime but my hair went from long and fairly healthy to breaking, itchy scalp, dry hair. At first I thought it's just due to age, vitamin deficiency or stress but even after changing my lifestyle and taking supplements, months later, my hair is still in such a poor state. I'm trying not to cry when I look at old photos of myself. I will never use it again and feel like suing! I wish I could post photos for comparison

The only thing I can say about this product, is it makes my hair greasy. The day I've washed it my hair feels thicker but the next day so greasy. I don't understand why. Disappointed.

Just as the last negative review received, you insinuate that it’s a competitor, not taking into account the actual issues, I’m not the only one to report hair loss, can literally see my scalp after 3 uses, I’m devastated, not spiteful! I brought direct from your website, set for £30, I’ve binned them both, how dare you respond with suspicion after you’ve ruined my confidence, I feel like suing!! Don’t make out you have never heard of it when I’ve seen a few reviews saying the same, what kind of hair loss product causes hair loss, and you say thats normal? Surely people using the product are in hope of growth and if it’s going to send people bald, you should maybe mention that!!!! Absolutely shocking product after 3 uses, I experienced massively noticeable hair loss, I don’t want to leave the house. Upon reading reviews, found many others had the same problem, and the manufacturer responds with the excuse that it’s normal and that you have to lose hair to grow hair, what a ridiculous thing to say! This product should be banned from sale!

Your shampoo made my scalp itch REALLY bad. I followed all the guidelines. I've switched back to my previous shampoo and the itching has stopped. If you're happy with your shampoo, don't bother changing.

Delivered on time great product

I bought Watermans Grow Me Shampoo from Boots UK after seeing what looked like genuine Google reviews with before-and-after photos. They’re not. The reviews are pulled from Watermans’ own website and are not verified Google reviews. They look credible but they’re not independent or regulated. Makes me wonder if their 5 star reviews genuine?

If I can save one person from going through what I have, this is worth it. I’M INCONSOLABLE.

After using the shampoo, my hair felt coated and sticky. Like other people mention straw like. Then came the SHEDDING: I LOST about TRIPLE the AMOUNT of my HAIR than before using the shampoo especially around the temples and top. I track my routine, eat well, and haven’t changed anything else. The only variable was this shampoo.

They might say “oh, it’s just the initial shedding phase” TRIPLING the RATE OF YOUR HAIR FALLING OUT is not a “phase,” it’s a serious setback. (One other reviewer says he went from thick hair to near bald in a year! That cannot be just initial shedding for him.) No other product in my routine has caused anything like this. Plus if they are making their reviews look like genuine Google ones how could I believe anything else they say?! If I use it longer I might lose even more hair. Please, please, please read the other reviews that outline exactly the same issue. Be careful before you start with this product.

This is my honest experience. If I’d known the glowing reviews that look like Google ones (a marketing tactic called ‘structured data’) were self-hosted and unverified, not genuine-Google customer reviews, I wouldn’t have gone near this product.

The speed at which I received my order. I had totally run out of shampoo.

My go to saviour! At 4 month post partum the hair loss was horrific, and after using this the regrowth was thick, shiny and strong! I now have a fringe of new hair about 2 inches long! It’s helped it come in much faster!

Didn't make a difference

I’ve experienced hair loss several times over the years — not because of any product, but due to personal life challenges. Their products made a visible difference and helped me regain some of my confidence. From that moment on, I’ve never used anything else. Then, in December 2024, I went through my most extreme experience yet — complete hair loss. I was totally bald, shocked, and struggling with depression. It was a dark and difficult time. But I contacted Watermans for advice, and their response was kind, reassuring, and “Stay consistent. Trust the process. Be patient.” So I did. Even when I had no visible hair, I kept using the Watermans range. I followed the routine through some of my hardest moments, and now — I’m sitting here with a full head of hair again. It’s still short and growing, but the coverage is there, and the bald spots are gone. Watermans has supported me through some of the most challenging periods of my life. This isn’t just about hair regrowth — it’s about hope, perseverance, and trust. To anyone going through something have faith. Watermans has helped me every single time. Thank you, Watermans. Truly.

The product smells lovely, however I am not sure I would have purchased a bottle if I had known I have to wash my hair 4 / 5 times a week! Is this really necessary? I dont have time to wash and blow dry my hair 5 times a week!

I used the grow me shampoo and conditioner and my hair has gone extremely dry and brittle due to the sulfates in the product.
So I have only used the product about 3 times. To try and repair the dryness I put on hair conditioning treatments, but this didn't make the slightest difference. It's never been in such bad condition 😞. I am being sent another 2 bottles which I won't use, due to their subscription policy which states, you have receive 2 orders before you can cancel! So now I'm left with the 2 bottles which are almost full and another order on the way! That's a lot of money to waste on hair products that I can't even use!!

This shampoo is an amazing product
I’ve used this product for years now and cannot rate it highly enough. As I have my blonde hair coloured regularly this shampoo keeps it in excellent condition. I really wouldn’t use any other shampoo now.

I bought the shampoo and conditioner as a bundle to help with hair growth, hair follicles to be stronger and leaves hair feeling thicker and shiny. As stated it does all the above absolutely love it they do smell very medicated but I’ve seen a big improvement and my husband also uses it . For anyone going through the menopause and seeing a massive change in their hair if it’s gone thinner, dry, falling out etc I would recommend these 2 products.
I also bought the heat spray at the same-time this if I’m honest isn’t great on my hair, if I’m using it on dry hair before straightening it or using curlers then it’s amazing and works really well. However if I use it on wet hair before drying it with the hair dryer it makes my hair feel very dry and sticky . So I’m sitting on the fence with this one but the shampoo and conditioner are definitely my favourites!

Saw this advertised on FB, checked out the reviews on Trustpilot, looked pretty good so thought I’d give it a try.
I ordered the Hair Oyl, it arrived yesterday.
Not for one minute did I think this product would live up to the hype as most products don’t.
I’m very wary and rather pessimistic about adverts claiming that their products are AMAZING!

Well I can honestly say that this stuff is AMAZING!
It’s left my hair feeling like silk, not greasy or sticky at all, just feels and looks fabulous.
It also smells wonderful.
So thank you Watermans for a really marvellous hair product that actually does what you state it would.
Buy it people… you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been using the shampoo and serum for 6 months now and there is a definite improvement in hair growth where it was thinning. I’m 68 which just shows it’s never too late to start this treatment!

After 12 months of using Watermans Shampoo and Conditioner as indicated ( ie used at least 5 times a week left in hair for 4 minutes and massaged for 1 minute ) I saw no change in my hair growth at all.
This was a failed year of trying a product which promotes hair growth.
I cannot recommend their product.
It doesn't do as per its claims.
Waste of money basically.
