I came to see Steve Hines at Wandsworth Physiotherapy as a last resort for severe jaw pain and tension caused by years of teeth grinding. I’ve been grinding since I was 12 and am now 24, and nothing had given me real relief—Botox, two types of mouth guards, meditation, breathwork, and self-massage only helped slightly.

Steve was the first specialist who truly understood TMJ. He reassured me that the jaw clicking was normal, which immediately eased my worries. I had three sessions of jaw massage and acupuncture, and the improvement was remarkable. He also offered internal gum-point release, but by the third session most of my tension and headaches had already disappeared.

I now go once a month for maintenance, and combined with my STI device and meditation podcasts, my jaw pain is close to zero. I couldn’t recommend Steve enough—he has helped me tremendously.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My physio Kirsty is an absolute magician. I've been seeing her since April, originally for a slipped disc in my back. Not only has she given me back my mobility and drastically reduced my pain but when I walk in every week with pain in new places she takes the time to look at my body as a whole and figure out the root of the problems. Issues I've had for years that have been brushed aside by other health professionals have finally been explained and it means I have been able to look after myself more effectively now that I know the problems. In addition the clinic offers pilates classes by trained physios which has been so helpful in rebuilding my strength with people who know my limitations and can provide specific adjustments for my injuries and I always show up a little early to chat with Chara at reception because the whole team are just exceptionally lovely friendly humans who I cannot reccommend enough!

I was treated by Steve for knee pain, a very professional and knowledgeable physiotherapist. Excellent diagnosis explained following a thorough physical and ultrasound examination. Treatment options were outlined with clarity with no hard sell and subsequent treatment carried out painlessly.

I went in there completely crippled from not knowing how to run properly, as well as not doing the necessary workout alongside.

Shreya was my practitioner and she performed Wonders!!!!!!
My main issue was a horrible ITB accompanied by unstable knees and ankles.

My goal was to run a half marathon without ending up on crutches.

She did not only mend the pain from those issues but she also customer made a plan that helped me strengthen the areas that were weak and therefore caused all sorts of issues when running.

The result: I recently completed my half marathon in less than my predicted time!!!!!

The lovely people on reception are always happy to help and if you have a busy life style like me, they always accommodate any appointment changes.

The physiotherapist listened very carefully to all the details of my problem and did a very careful assessment. Then he took the time to explain what were the problems and what he proposed as an immediate relief and as a longer term at-home exercise regime. Things are looking up!!

I saw Kirsty for my thumb injury for three sessions - she was very thorough and knowledgeable. Managed to address the problem and provide additional insight to handle any future flare ups. Really appreciate the help
