Installed GivEnergy All-in-One. Issue with recorded warranty dates was quickly rectified. Already making substantial savings to our electricity bills.

Viking have a good understanding of the customer needs and are willing to discuss non standard installations whereas other companies seem to only be interested in set solutions.

Nairn explained the process in plenty of detail during the quote stage and left me feeling confident that there would be no issues during the installation of a 13.5 kWh GivEnergy AIO battery and EV charger. Nairn communicated with our DNO (GTC) to obtain the relevant permissions for installing the battery and EV charger.
Come install day, Nairn arrived with two of his team to start the physical installation (these batteries are heavy!) and lay down the wiring. By the end of the day, having worked tirelessly until after the sun went home, they did a quick cleanup and called it an evening. On the second day they completed the electrical installation, did a final cleanup, started the battery commission process, and got us setup on the GivEnergy portal and mobile app.
Nairn has been quick to answer any queries, and has continued to keep in touch through the final stages with our DNO approval process.
Genuinely felt like part of the family!

We'd been thinking about getting solar panels fitted for a while and contacted a number of companies for a quote. Nairn was not pushy at all and worked with us to come up with an installation that met our needs. The price was very competitive and in the end we decided to go with Viking Electrical as they are a local company that can provide that personal service if needed in future.
The installation was completed very quickly after confirming go ahead and was all done and dusted in less than 2 days.
I can say that we have now been audited by MCS as part of their quality control checks on installers and pleased to say all passed with flying colours.

I have been considering installing solar panels for about 2 years now and it was talking to Nairn from Viking that made the decision easier. He is obviously passionate about renewable energy but didn’t bamboozle me with more information than I needed. He was part of the installation team (as was his daughter) and I’m delighted with the quality of the work carried out. There is a degree of risk when you sign up to a big job like a solar and battery install but throughout I found Nairn from Viking Electrical to have provided a great level of service. He explained how the install would work, and kept in regular touch to advise when the work would be done. The team that came worked quickly, were courteous and explained the new setup clearly, and from what I can see far the job looks spot on.

Sent an online enquiry via the webpage and got a phone call back within 15 minutes. Chris attended my home address that weekend and sorted out my battery storage issues which are now operating efficiently. More than happy to recommend and delighted with the service.

Good communication prior to the start of the job - everything happened exactly when Nairn said it would. Solar installation completed in 1 day - and what a day , it rained heavily all day so the guys on the roof were soaked.
Required paperwork, warranties, insurance etc all explained on completion and handed over in a pack .

I have been dealing with Viking electrical for about a year now and never had any faults with them.

I found Nairn and Chris to be courteous, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and quick to respond to calls and messages.

I wanted a Solaredge PV and battery install which integrated into my pre-existing Solaredge PV system. We hit a few technical snags with this but the guys persisted with escalating this to Solaredge and the issues were eventually resolved by the Solaredge team.

Big thanks to Nairn & team for installing pest guards on my pre-existing PV array. Also thanks to Mark for relocating a few dodgy roof tiles I had, much appreciated.

I have known Viking Electrical for approx. 12 months, and during that time I have used them for an 11-panel solar installation with inverter and battery storage.

There is always a concern when using a firm for the first time, such as was the case for the aforementioned solar install. However, given that Nairn’s firm was the only one of four to respond to my query for a quote, it wasn’t a case of shopping around.

And am I glad that was the case? He made an appointment the same afternoon the enquiry was sent, and turned up within 2 days for a site visit, and a chat with us about what could be achieved.

There was no hard selling, no finance packages on offer, and no calling a senior manager for a better quote. We were given a price with no extras stuck on top.

Nairn organised the scaffolding which was installed over a morning, and when he found we needed some new tiles, he arranged to have his tiler replace them for us.

The system was installed within two days, operational and generating power for us. Nairn also took to ensuring we had all the necessary paperwork for exporting to the grid. It’s a family firm, and it was lovely to see both his son and daughter actively involved. From start to finish, it was a competent, professional and quality install at an excellent price point.

Given he had done such a sterling job, he was then employed to install a new fuse board and bring our ageing electrics up to code. Since then he has been employed to install driveway lamp standards, ceiling lighting at my son’s flat in addition to extra power points and lighting in cupboards etc.

No job is too small or cumbersome, and he turns up exactly when he says he will – a remarkable achievement for tradesmen these days.

I can honestly say I no longer shop for quotes. If it is in any way electricity related then Nairn gets the call.

I have no hesitation in recommending him and his staff who are above reproach.

We had a solar panel system installed, and the guys did a brilliant job - it all went so smoothly, and no complaints at all. I'd certainly recommend them to anyone needing similar work done.

From first contact to the end of the job Nairn and his crew worked tirelessly to deliver the system as quickly and efficiently as possible. They arrived on site on time and had scaffolding erected before lunch. Following an inspection of my roof several loose slates, it's 70 years old, were identified and Nairn arranged for his roofer to carry out remedial work for me to ensure the roof was sound before installation. the installation of the solar panels, inverter and battery all followed in quick succession, and after a long second day the system was up and running. Over the next few days Nairn was available to respond to my queries as he ensured my new MPAN was allocated and my connection to my Octopus Energy smart tariff was set up correctly. All in all a very positive experience with this company. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

We used Viking for a recent re-wire of an apartment. They were extremely helpful, professional & fairly priced.
They also responded quickly when I asked them to pop back to do a small job which I feel other contractors may not have done.
